My parents bought a shirt for me from here and I'm pretty sure they never sent it. Somehow, they had our old address and sent it there instead (allegedly). We know the people that live there now and they never received it either. Called their customer service, who SAID they would send a replacement to the correct address. Good right? Wrong. After supposedly submitting a replacement order over the phone, Signals not only NEVER sent the replacement, they insist my parents never even called and placed the replacement order over the phone. They tried to claim it was done online, which isn't even an option for this order because the replacement was supposedly free of charge. Now they want my parents to PAY AGAIN for a shirt that will probably also never be sent. I told my dad to dispute the charge with the bank.

Stay away from this merchant.

Bought a couple of things for my mom for Christmas and got a percentage off for creating an account and subscribing to thier email... After the items shipped I cancelled the subscription because I don't want emails from them, I'll never buy from them again... Sure enough the next day my email in box starts blowing up with scam emails (I get about 100 a day). I have blocked thousands of senders to no avail... To this day I am bombarded with scam emails. BEWARE!

Cannot exchange my item for the same exact, without paying an additional fee of $11.99. Comprehension of the scenario and trying to explain, "I just need a smaller size," was a nightmare since you use overseas rep's that barely speak english. Sorry Signals, you will never get another $ from me. By the way, the doormat was marginal quality, at best, the sweatshirt sizing was off and (1) item has still not shown up yet!
My husband gave me a Women's Iona Irish Sweater from Signals for Christmas and I loved it, but I wore it less than 4 weeks and the pills were hanging off it. It wasn't something that I wanted to wear in public. Terrible quality. I returned it for refund but was shorted $21.62. They didn't reimburse the original $19.99 shipping and they miscalculated the tax, charging $1.63 more when I bought it than when I returned it.
I have also realized that all the reviews on their website are fakes. All 5 stars. And no ability to write a review. I clicked on "Write a review" and the website just spins at me. What's perplexing is that i bought my husband an Irish sweater last year and it was great. I guess that was just luck.

Purchased a Sweatshirt for Christmas. Was charged two different prices $39.96 and $9.99 to get to an original price, but shipping invoice was for $39.96. Shipping was $14 and had to pay return shipping and handling as item was not liked by recipient. Ended up costing me $38.40 to receive nothing on an original $50 item!

We were sent the wrong item. It was a total nightmare trying to get the correct item after the wrong item was sent back to signals. The customer service people are the worst I have ever dealt with. When pressed to speak to a supervisor, they lied on two separate occasions saying the supervisor was "unavailable" and would call back that day As anticipated, they never called. Conveniently, there is no answer at the corporate phone number in Ohio so there is no way to speak to someone who will actually help you. My advice is to steer clear of the horrible company!

I have gotten the Signal catalog for years, and in the past bought some items. It didn't occur to me to read the reviews of the company, based on past experience. I ordered three items, and they came in two packages, one was personalized, understandable. However, no notice of this at all. Tried to email because it was separated on credit card bill, and didn't know why. No reply. Two of the items had to be sent back, inferior quality and fit. Has taken more than 3 weeks, and I've had to contact them twice. Still in waiting mode to get refunded. The return fee is very high, compared to other companies too. Never Again will I make a purchase with them.
Update: Called this company again to find out where my refund is, after they said they'd contact me. Of course, they did not! Bottom line, I ended up paying $54 for a $29.95 sweatshirt. Totally outrageous; had them remove me from all marketing. Never want to see their catalog again!

I placed an order with Signals, and the package arrived yesterday. It was for my husband's Christmas Gift, so I told him to open it, so I could see his reaction. Well we were both stunned, we received an empty box.
I called them and they wanted to immediately ship the missing items, I said no I wanted a refund. Then I looked into them, so I contacted my credit card merchant directly, as I really don't think they will credit my card.

We ordered three painted tables from Signals and all three (as well as the three replacements) arrived in individual boxes with no padding or wrapping at all. The boxes had holes in them and were crushed. The tables inside had crushed corners, chipped and flaking paint and legs broken off. Return shipping cost $40 for the first three tables. Have not returned the second set of three yet until I am guaranteed reimbursement of shipping costs (I doubt we will ever see that). Customer service keeps telling us a refund will be sent in "3-5 days". It's been weeks and no refund. In addition, I have tried to post a review for the tables on the Signals website, but I get a message saying it will be posted after it has been "reviewed". Surprise, surprise, the negative review has not been posted, so more unsuspecting customers will order these tables only to encounter the same issues we have.

Don't purchase from this site. The fact that they do not accept Pay Pal should be a big red flag. There is no recourse when you have spent your money and don't get what you ordered.

Like others have written, the customer service is terrible. 20-30 min on hold and then they just automatically disconnect you without even answering. I did this about 6 times with same result. You call and hit #1 for wanting to place new order and they answer after 3 rings but refuse to do any customer service as "they are only the order number". I have my doubts that I will ever get my refund or the exchange for another color tote. Colors in magazine do not compare to what you actually get so just wanted to change to black. I will probably not order from here again. Making returns/exchanges almost impossible is not the way for a catalog business to function!
The company charges for shipping are outrages, about 18% of the purchase, which for small items doesn't cost that much. I contacted them to ask this question how they justify overcharging people for shipping via chat. After stating my question to the person who asked me how she/he could help, she/he ended the chat altogether. So no explanation and very fishy behavior. I will not shop there for sure. As customers, we can demand a better treatment.
I usually order online but the website did not seem secure. I called in and spoke with a rep who didn't sound capable to answer any questions. One of my three items were wrong. Wrong item, wrong color. They shipped my order in two different shipments and the last shipment item wasn't even in an exterior box! Everyone saw what it was and could have been taken had it caught someone's attention. It was also a Christmas gift for an elderly couple and I am just happy that they didn't see it when it was left at my doorstep. I used to love shopping here but, seems that your priorities have changed.

I finally got part of my 12/12/20 order on 1/2 after many calls and cumulative hours on hold. Three items are yet to arrive and some have one has gone out of stock. I still would not order from them again. I regret that I also lost my temper and said mean things to the clerks on the phone. Bad experience all around - but what I ordered was as described when it did come.
I purchased a pricey book set, the corner of the case around the books was slightly damaged. I emailed twice asking for my shipping charge to be refunded and... nothing.
There are so many, many, many other places to spend money!
I had a question about a product purchased through Signals. I called their customer service phone number and was on hold, "for the next available operator who will take [my] call shortly." While on hold I: did two loads of laundry, washed/dried the dishes, made dinner, swept the kitchen floor, took out the trash, made dessert, and answered 7 emails. Then I was disconnected.
Question: Is it bad customer service when there's no customer service?
I ordered from company they double charged my card saying it was a pre-authorization charge but it wiped out my account leaving me no choice but to shut down for fraud. They are a complete waste I would never order from a company who charges you twice

They have very nice and fun things- and the business practice is horrible. They give an offer of free shipping - that actually " authorizes" a membership in a program fir 14.95 a month on your credit card. The free shipping is not free as you need to send in paperwork to request a rebate. It took me 3 days to get anything showing they I was sent a " welcome email" about this program ( I maintain I never received it) and the charges fir the program are not listed or indicated on the receipt for the items purchased that led to the " membership"
Useless and I will never purchase again.

This company leaves much to be desired. I noticed a $14.95 billing on my bank account. Then with further checking noted this charge was made for 6 months. A call revealed that I made the request with an order in November which gave me free shipping. This is a membership request? I was told it gave me mailings. So I am paying for advertising that I can access online? So this membership supposedly will save me money? They have charged $113.70. This representative assured me the money will be returned. There is something seriously wrong here. I only wish there was a no star assessment.

I ordered the right item for a Christmas gift for out of town daughter. Signals sent the wrong thing. Now they want me to ask her to package it up and mail it back? They have since sent me the right item, but still want the other item back or I will be charged for both. So, for Signals' mistake, she has to hassle with sending hers back or I have to make a trip to the post office to mail the right item back, or I pay twice. The customer service agent was not helpful, only saying that her supervisor would say the same thing. No offer of a discount, no coupon for a future purchase, no apology. I certainly won't be making any orders to Signals again.

I ordered 2 things on 5/21. The individual that took my order stated that I would receive my products in 7 to 10 days. I did not. Each time I contact Signals they keep telling me it is in transit with a later delivery date. I do not deal with people that can not be honest. I don't care how long the delivery takes, just be honest about it. C
I ordered 4 items. Three were promptly delivered, the fourth was delayed over a month with no communications and a phoneline that repeatedly left me on hold for over an hour before i gave up. Checking my charge card, I found recurring charges for a 'membership' that I never requested. Repeated efforts to reverse the charges failed in that they do not answer their phones. This is a company well worth avoiding.
I ordered an outfit for my mother in another state to wear to Christmas dinner. (A problem arose with what she was planning to wear.) I paid for expedited shipping on top of a hefty regular shipping fee & assured her everything would be OK. The order arrived without the pants, thus further complicating everything. On the packing slip the pants were circled & underlined. When I called Customer Service about it, they cheerily said they would ship the pants out & they would arrive in 5-7 business days. Not the Expidited shipping I had originally paid for. Not "Oh, we're so sorry! We'll send them expedited so she gets them ASAP." When I asked for my shipping charge back, they reluctantly offered me a "ONE TIME Curtesy Refund" of 5 whole dollars. They would not refund my $38 shipping fee because "some of the items got there" & made it sound like they were doing me a BIG favor by giving me that. I am very frustrated & I will never order from them again!

I received the Signals catalogue. I found a few items for Christmas gifts, and i ordered 4 different items (but 3 of one particular one) on 7 December. The order total was $149.17. I received the confirmation of the order, but then nothing after this confirmation.
Then on 12 December, i received a notice from the credit card i had set up specifically for this order that they had declined a payment for $116.90 because it exceeded the maximum i'd placed on that card. I received no invoice for this amount, nothing to indicate what that charge was for. So i called the company.
The woman who answered was polite but unhelpful. She did not tell me what the charge was for. She said that she would have to pass it on to a supervisor, who would "return the call within three days." Today is the 19th, seven days later, and i have received no call back, no further informative emails, no follow up on shipping, etc., and no call from a "supervisor." No information has been forth-coming.
I began reading the reviews of this company.
I was appalled by the poor customer service, the poor quality of the items, the long delay in receiving them, poor communication, and the apparently impossible chance of receiving refunds reported by many others who had ordered from them. Their catalogue in the mail looked so professional! Also the reports of people being charged to be a prime member, or something like that. But those reports were being charged $14+ for that, not over $100.
At the time, the card limit was set for $50 more than i spent, but i immediately dropped that to less than a dollar more. I'm thankful they didn't charge the $14 because that would have been approved and i would have had to fight to get that back.
By this time i was considering cancelling the order. I called the company again, and learned that my order had been processed and gave me tracking numbers for two different shipments. They arrived yesterday. Granted, that was 12 days to come, which seems excessive, and i was upset with them for never sending an email that confirmed shipping.
However, they did arrive, and before Christmas.
What is more, the whole order is what i paid for. Everything seems to be good, and in good order. I've already washed the sweatshirt and tee shirt i bought (they are dark colored), expecting them to look faded and washed-out after that, based on reports. But they are fine. The other items are fine, too.
But i will never order from them again. I have no idea why they tried to charge my credit card an additional $116+. Their communication was poor. Their shipping was rather slow. I never received a call back from them regarding the above charge. It isn't worth it to me to give this company an additional try. I also have received 28 Spam emails from them in the 22 days since i first placed my order.

I wouldn't bother. I'd try to find the items you want at another, more reliable site.
