I'm so happy with my new dress! It arrived on time and fitted perfect. I have spent ages browsing the website and there are so many gorgeous items! Will definitely purchase something else again soon. Five stars!
I ordered 3 garments, 2 the same size. The fit was so poor. Not sure what body shape it would have fit but it was hanging around the chest and tight on the waist. I would now need to pay a seamstress to make them wearable. I am a typical shape. 14 DAYS TO RETURN. Beware! Now refusing to accept returns and no discretion at all. No credit note possible. Would not order again. Now stuck with 3 useless items costing £100's
Absolutely amazing customer service reached out to them and they were back in touch with me instantly, they've kept in touch the whole time and now my parcel is on the way without any problems at all, couldn't thank Lucy any more for resolving the problem and being so on top of any problems! Fabulous and will deffo order again!
I had a query about an order I was waiting for, I emailed and received a very helpful response almost immediately, and all sorted and a follow up email to check I was satisfied! That's great customer service!

Bought a jumpsuit online which came with a belt. Received the jumpsuit which was lovely but the belt was faulty. I contacted customer service on the Friday and they replied on the Saturday to say they contacted the manufacturer for me. They then got back to me to say a replacement was being sent by courier. Replacement belt arrived on the Wednesday. Very impressed with the level of service and will definitely shop again.

When you purchase from this site and you need to return various items you have to send it back by recorded delivery that you have to pay for and items have to be send to individual stockist at different address. Returning can be costly and a night mare

Great customer service, really easy to communicate with, my refund was requested and within half an hour it had been sorted out for me, shame the dresses weren't to my taste but I know I will get something again soon, I have quite a few of the dresses now and all quality and worth the money.

I ordered a dress for delivery to Spain. After 50 day of waiting I contacted Silkfred just to let them know that i was not in receipt of my item(knowing that packages from the UK to Spain can take a long time!)
Within minutes I received a mail letiing me know that they would look into the matter and report back. The next day I had my answer to why i had not received item and a refund the same day.
That's the way to handle issues, promptly and no quibble.

I separately ordered 2 £60 dresses in 2 sizes... they both arrived so creased would need washing and ironing before fit to wear, the fabric had a horrid smell and the belt on one was a different shade to the dress. I contacted customer services and they did apologize and send me a free return label. I was put off ordering again by this as the postage was £10 alone. However they offered me a 50% discount off my next item, I was inundated with emails and after a few weeks decided to give them another chance & ordered a blouse. It was £18.99 so with discount only £9.40, but £4.40 postage.It arrived in a crumpled plastic envelope like something off EBAY and was so small(size 14)didn't even fit my size 8 daughter. Was then going to cost me another £4.50 to return recorded, so I contacted customer services and did receive a return label. 2 days later I received an email saying the item was returned and my refund of £4 would be processed in a few days... so after even more emails I'm chasing my refund of £9.50. I definately will not be using Silk Fred again. Too costly postage for delivery &returns and no idea what will be delivered to you.

Terrible experience. I ordered from Silk Fred for the first time in July. I didn't like the quality of either of the dresses when they arrived so sent them back. A few weeks later I realised I still hadn't had a refund on one of the dresses. I contacted SilkFred and it turned out it had been sent to the wrong warehouse - as I didn't realise that returns are incredibly complicated and each item has to be returned to a separate location rather than going to one main base and being sorted. Nevertheless, I still held hope this would be sorted quickly as I had the proof of postage for each item. Surely SilkFred (you would have thought) would have a contingency in place for this form of human error - I've no doubt it happens all the time.
Well they don't. I've been chasing for the best part of three months. Responses are slow, I've been asked to share proof of postage twice - which I have, and still haven't had a response since the last email correspondence 2 weeks ago. I will never order from them again and will be taking this to the consumer watchdog. Quite clearly they are all over the place.

I ordered 2 jumpers from silkfred they arrived and were not as described - I returned the items and had to chase them for acknowledgement of receipt - they have refused to refund me and now have the jumpers and my money - they will NOT refund me as they say they dont need to - complete rip off merchants would advise not to use them

While the SilkFred responds quickly, that is pretty useless praise, if they
- have no power to act.
- work out-of-hours relative to the suppliers
- don't show any initiative to resolve problems.
WELL IN ADVANCE of my order arriving (because the supplier didn't act on it for over a week; I was in contact after 2 business days!) I told SilkFred that the delivery would now be too late—Royal Mail would land up sending the items back themselves since I am out of the country for the amount of time RM will hold the packages - 14 days.
SilkFred basically did nothing except send an email to supplier asking them for updates in case it was on the way already. Since no dispatch information had yet been received, SF and supplier AND I knew that there was time to act.
The supplier clearly holds no regard for SF or the customer, as the supplier didn't reply promptly or in a helpful way.
Two days passed without any action by SF agent, who only works evenings from 5pm - illogical since the suppliers work day times.
When I prompted SF again, the supplier, MOE, admitted the parcel had not even been prepared, and would only arrive the following week.
Instead using logic to immediately halt the order and issue my refund, they both decided to go against my wishes and pursue the order anyway.
And, to make matters more distasteful, this "original" designer is available through Amazon, and the exact same item is more than £10 cheaper.
So much for Emma Watkins' proposal that SF provides "unique fashion with fun and stress-free service"….
Tip for consumers:
SilkFred are a middleman -no control and no customer support capability. Do a Google search for the item/supplier and you will find cheaper elsewhere with a more helpful service
