I have been with them 2 years and never had an issue they are prompt and professional. They send out prescriptions quickly and are knowledgeable if you call.
I just spoke to a rather incompetent customer service agent named Mitch? (female) at 4.30 pm EST on 02/10/2024 who took a long time getting all the info, insisted that my husband (on whose behalf I was calling) needed to give verbal ok even though she later discovered that I was an authorized representative for him when I asked her to check. She gave no useful info, and hung up abruptly. I would give 0 starts, but there isn't a way to do that.
The only good thing I can say about them is I get two generic common drugs for $1.00 each (were free until this year). Every other prescription has been refused with vague explanations. They offer recommendations on other cheaper drugs that are not at all useful for my conditions (and don't even know what those conditions are), requiring calls to my provider and long wait times to get the scrips filled. I finally gave up. Will drop them as soon as I can.

Over the counter, less effective meds
Silverscript paid a total of. 01 cent for my medication last month. They bumped up cheaper meds to a higher tier to charge more. When I called to inquire I was read to from a script with words like "benchmark" overused until nothing I was told helped me to understand why they have essentially stopped paying.
This company is terrible. Cancel my dad prescription coverage and claim they sent a letter which was never receive. But they was cashing the checks that was sent. I would never recommend them too anyone. Ripping off senior citizens
By far the worst group ever. Had to have a judge force them to cover my treatment last year, then Medicare pulled some strings and changed the rules to get them out of it. Now they're doing the same thing for another treatment. Disgusting and evil.
I had knee replacement surgery and needed Eliquis to prevent blood clots. Aetna would not cover the $500 plus charge for 2 pills a day for 21 days. I was told I had not met my deductible. 8 weeks later, I am having knee replacement surgery for my other knee. AGAIN Aetna would not cover. Thankfully the pharmacy suggested using a GoodRX coupon which brought it down both times to $380. When I called Aetna for clarification, I was told that since I used a coupon, the other $380 out of pocket expense could not go towards my deductible. What a scam! The low premiums will never match the poor service. My advise...don't ever enroll in Aetna SilverScrpt drug plan. There's a reason it is inexpensive.
Good luck getting a straight answer from these people. Spoke to three agents. All quoted different costs for same meds. Policy requires tota deductible to be paid with single new purchase of tier 1 med.
Will change prescription company next open enrollment.
I agree with the others. There is no way to get an accurate answer from customer service. They can only read the script in front of them which does not address all questions. The medicare.gov estimate for one of my drugs was $4.94 with a $47 copay. I had to pay $180. Avoid this plan. The low premiums don't make up for the rest of the headaches and inaccurate price quotes.
They used to cover most medication but last year and so far this year they didnt cover anything. When you call to get coverage information after holding for a long time your call is cut off. Look for a company that cares about their customers. Silverscipt sadly is no longer it. I have been using. Com companies on line that give reduced rate on meds free of charge even though I have silverscript.
My grandpa had Silver Script, he passed away and they refuse to stop billing his bank account until SSA files everything and they have, they also refuse to refund. Currently on month 2 of my deceased grandpa paying $94 for a prescription he clearly isn't using... literally charging a dead man for a prescription plan which is disgusting.
I have had Silver Script for several years and this year my copay has increased from $200 to $505! This increase is should be considered criminal considering the monthly fee they charge. My latest prescription cost has increased from in price from about $15. To over $41. Considering that Good Rx and other Non-Silver Script services would charge between $17 and $21 for the same quantity of the same generic drug without the monthly tribute to Aetna! Greed maybe considered a good thing by corporate, but not by the people who pay for their services Needless to say, the Silver Script program is not long for my world.
I got a letter asking for additional payment almost doubling the cost of my Albuterol inhaler after the fact. A "customer service" number was offered if I wished to question these charges. It took 4 attempts to get through to a representative to have my questions addressed. Hard to get through and then my call would be "dropped" before my question was addressed. I was finally told that "my balance was $0 and some customers had been getting such letters without actually owing money. She could offer no explanation for this and what would be done to address the problem.
The co pays and co insurance sometimes add up to be double and triple what you would pay using Good RX or similar service. You are paying a premium and deductible for the privilege of paying more for your medication than over the counter retail. When you call to complain they have no other good answer than to spout the company policy!
I have never encountered a more frustrating experience with a company in my life. I could not understand their representatives. They were unable to understand my questions/concerns and kept putting me on a "short 2 minute wait." They did this 9 times in a row.
My issue of trying to get them to send me a monthly EOB for the premiums I automatically pay them was never resolved. As soon as Medicare open enrollment comes back around in October I will drop them as my prescription provider.!
This company is atrociously bad! Wish I could give a negative star rating
You can barely understand them. Hire some native English speakers! Stop with the million and one transfers. They keep sending me to sales every time I call, even though I never have a sales related issue. Stop hanging up on people just because you don't know the answer or don't like the answer. This wouldn't if they hired Americans who actually understand and speak fluent English.

Their member services representatives are in the Philippines, so you’ll have trouble communicating.

June 19,2019 - My wife and I are subscribers, have been since about 2011. I pay my bill monthly with a check, my wife pays with a monthly automatic withdrawal from her checking account. We needed to close her old account and open a new account with the same bank. Spent 40 minutes on the phone trying to find someone with the authority and competence to go into her account and change only the bank checking account number - routing number stays the same. No one at Silverscript apparently has the authority/competence to do that. Instead we have to jump through a bunch of computer/paper hoops to get this done. As a retired CPA I hate to make comparisons between business and the IRS but in this case I think it is warranted. Terrible, inefficient service.
They dont list the higher tier 1 meds I've bought. They only list the $2 and $3 cheap meds. I can never reach my deductible, although I have paid enough out of pocket to cover deductible. I'll be finding another.
When you see so many one star reviews for this company, there is a reason why! These poor ratings are noted on other review sites as well. In my situation, I have spent more on premiums than I have in medication savings. My dislike for this company grew when I notified them that I was relocating to another state. However no one at SilverScript made the change. I was informed that my coverage would be suspended for not following up on their request. I have documentation via my call logs of multiply calls to them. My last documented call in 2023 was on December 5th to confirm I indeed had coverage. I now find out that I Do NOT have coverage. I was on the phone with them for 1 hour 59 mins and 22 secs today. I went with this company, rather than get penalized by Medicare for not having prescription coverage. Medicare really needs to look into this company. I do believe others also need to follow up with complaints to Medicare. I am pretty confident others have had similar issues. Like so many American companies, this company uses customer agents not located in the USA. Very disappointing that Medicare would allow this company to operate the way they do...
They involuntarily enrolled my mother in their Part D Medicare plan with a letter saying it "wouldn't effect any of her other coverage". This was a LIE! Once Silverscript coverage was in place, it automatically cancelled her health coverage through United Healthcare because their plan does allow separation of Medicare Part C and Part D. She then broke her hip and it wasn't covered because of a lapse in coverage. The skilled nursing home had to discharge her with nowhere to go because it wasn't covered.
Tip for consumers:
People should run away from this company!

Aetna Silverscript Medicare Part D
I have had silver script for years and this year my copay has more than doubled. It went from $200 to $480! This is totally unacceptable and should be criminal. I will not do business with them anymore. They should be ashamed! I am 79 and could barely afford my medications last year. Now my first Rx has gone from $21.19 to $51.70. I can not afford this. People are having to give up food to keep their medications, CVS should hang it's head, this is nothing more than GREED!

We have recently gone on this plan and applied well before the commencement date. Nevertheless, they still have not issued the Rx card so we can fill my wife's badly needed prescriptions. We have been told that we can pay for the prescription and get reimbursed, but we have no trust in this company to reimburse. I signed up with Wellcare for my plan and they were very timely in issuing the card ahead of time and covering the prescriptions. There is a world of difference between these companies.
If we were to do this over again, we would NOT insure with SilverScript. I gave them a rating of "1" only because a "0" was not available.
Silverscript denies coverage for every drug first. They make you fight tooth and nail for it. They count on the fact that sick seniors will not be able to fight for their rights! When you have to pay you can NEVER get them to reimburse you for covered drugs. I almost died because they denied covered drug because it is expensive. I had to get a health care coordinator to make them cover it. I suffer residual effects for going without a life saving medication for over a week! You can never get customer service to help you. They are trained to put you off!
Tip for consumers:
Choose another part D medication plan!!

I could not get them to pay for my covered medication.
Incompetent assistance which always requires to me to speak with supervisor to rectify situation. Supervisor always apologies for wrong information given by assistant. Takes days to rectify any issues
Will definitely be seeking alternative plan next year

customer service for px plan
Have had Silverscript since 2015. They used to be great. Now the customer service is horrible. They transfer you from person to person, keep you on hold for 15 minutes minimum snd in the end they don't help. Despite being told I would get a call crack it never happened. My policy was terminated because I missed a letter. And they never notified me that they were canceling my subscription. Do not use them.
I paid for this every month for a year. Biggest waste of my money. They covered NOTHING! Do not get fooled. Get the "Good RX" app and get their discount card. Absolutely free. They saved me so much money where as this Aetna Slilver Script just stole my money! Do not bother with this rip off organization. They should be investigated for stealing from the elderly! I haven't bothered with a review in a long time, but I took the time to look them up. They are predators! Don't waste your time and DONOT let them steal from you. This organization is has lost all credibility. The monthly payment I paid may as well have been flushed, I didn't even get reduced rates. " Good RX" card did so much more. The government should shut " silver script" down as a total fraud!
After navigating a difficult automated telephone menu, I got a representative who I couldn't understand. I explained to her that I couldn't understand her, but she kept reading her script. She finally agreed to transfer me to someone else. I was placed on hold for a long time, only to be cut off with a "please hang up and try your call again." I had a question about a high deductible that I was not informed of when switching to them. I don't think I can get away from them this year but will never use them again.
