Don't waste your hard-earned money on this website. There is little to no oversight in who presents themselves, and half of the profiles are fake, scammers, and big-time "Love Bombers" trying to win your heart so they can set you up for an "ask" (money). Ladies, if you are a widow, BEWARE. Profiles of some of these men disappear, but there is no notification to those who communicated that there was misconduct. I've learned that I am better off alone! Read up on online dating "Red Flags." Educate yourself or your heart will be broken.
Be careful who you deal with on this site. They are mostly foreign men showing off a fancy life style trying to charm with sweet words and sending fake pictures of food they make taken online,. Be careful do not interact or reveal all your information till you really know them well and do a video call at a later stage. I only met one person so far who was real and able to establish a friendship with genuine intentions out of the many men who contacted me.
I filled out the background questionnaire, including photo, but took a breather before committing. Good thing. Read a ton of lousy reviews. That was last night. I have received at least 10 teaser emails from S. S. telling me I have guys interested in me. When I click on them, the site says they have been "taken off my list". Also, Silver Singles "personality evaluation" questionnaires are so silly, why wouldn't everyone want to paint a pretty picture of themselves? I must be matched with more than a thousand people. Interests I get, and also stuff you can write about yourselves. I edited my site and put in "seeking sugar daddy", also, "rich old lady". Hmmm, seems like a contradiction, eh? I also checked out at least 4 sites, "reviewing" Silver Singles". All of them were positive and all of them gave links to S. S. Pretty obvious, I'd say. This site is the only one posting negative reviews. Good for you!
I joined SilverSingles in late February. All men who contacted me without prior being selected by me were scammers or just fake. However, one of them was never spotted although his 3 profile pictures were from a film director, not his own. It took me less than 10 minutes to find out whose photos belong to, but SilverSingles never did this simple job. Of course, the scam artist began asking for gifts, including a Rolex!
Awful experience. Every contact was bogus. Profiles would appear real, but communication only lasted two exchanges and with no explanation from the person and no obvious reason, stop cold. The intent of this is to keep men interested, thinking they really are talking to someone. Stay away, you will lose your money. It should be illegal and is unethical and shameful to prey on people who are sincerely looking for someone special in their life.
Silver Singles has tons of men on its site who claim to live in the US but they don't. Either they need to do better at verification, like the money from these scammers or maybe they create them? Just some thoughts. Anyway, it is awful and you'll pay for 6 most. At a time with automatic renewal. Select another site instead.
A legitimate site would reveal faces and data base. Instead faces are obscured. You end up going through loads of some what personal questions. Then when you finally finish, they bombard you with so called people liking your comment/ profile and some kisses come in.
Still you are unable to view the faces until you pay up for minimum of 3 months with auto renewal unless cancelled at least 24 prior expiry. But of course that is well hidden in their policy conditions way down at the bottom. Obviously hoping most won't read that far. Always best to go straight to the bottom where the most important information is kept.
So i get people apparently interested in me who made the contact to me at a God forsaken time like 7 am or 1 am in the mornings. A good indicator that it is from a another country with a bogus person apparently from Australia. In short? Stay clear of this Mop.
Since unwittingly joining Silver Singles I've been contacted only by scammers. The majority of matches sent to me do not post photos. When I've sent photo requests the men don't answer. I too am suspicious this site is bogus. Forget about getting a refund.
This site is the worst I have seen so far for mature singles. Very few people, communication is not great, their suggestions are from other provinces and even in the US. I'm going to cancel without even finishing out my subscription, it's pointless.
Paid for premium subscription for one year. Although I was very specific as to age, location, and other factors, over 95% of "Matches" were inappropriate. Did not renew, but am bombarded daily with potential mates. Customer service is mediocre at best. Very disappointed, even after several complaints to their service (?) department. Highly recommend to avoid.
Answer: You do not want to sign up to this site for even a minute. They are scammers through and through. They will have no matches for you but will clear your bank account. Please don't join.
Answer: File disputes with your CC company and/or PayPal I am fighting for a refund also report them to anyone that matters we have to get the word out
Answer: YOU BEEN SCAMMED! I PAID ABOUT THE SAME, BUT I WAS ABLE TO SIGN ON AND USE IT. BELIEVE ME, YOU'RE BETTER OFF AS IT'S FULL OF SCAMMERS, MEN POSING AS WOMEN AND WOMEN POSING AS MEN TO GET YOUR $$$. I HAVE 457 "MATCHES" ACCORDING TO THEM. 457? BS
