“The site is legit, because you people don't know what...”

The site is legit, because you people don't know what you are doing you knock it. Penny bidding is very strategic, you can't expect to just spend $100 single bid and win a $500 TV. However, if you spend time and money you can actually do very well. The reason people never post good things is the people who are successful at it don't want more competition so why would they say how great it is to drive more people to the site to bid against them? Also they offer OT on most their auctions so your rationale goes right out the window right away. If there is a $50 gift card and it was 300 bids it just means that 5 people paid the retail price and only lost $2 shipping and handling that was charged while someone did win the item below retail

“This is a gambling site, pure and simple”

John C.

This is a gambling site, pure and simple. After losing $100 on buying bids where I did not win the auction, I simply lost all my money. In a normal auction, you don't pay unless are the high bidder. With skoreit you pay everytime you place a bid at. 60 per bid, and since items up for auction only increase by. 01 each time, an item that sells for $10.00 actually has 1000 bidders or $600! And if you don't win, you just lost all your money. There is tremendous risk involved. It's gambling. An equitable business transaction involves exchange of goods or services for money spent. However, when you spend money, in hopes that you might win, that is not a business transaction, it's gambling! If you like to gamble, then you'll enjoy this site. However, it is a little deceitful to advertise this as anything other than Gambling. I too heard about Skoreit on ESPN's Mike & Mike, which gave it a bit of credibility in my book. I hope they would pull their endorsement from this website

This site rocks, I have won numerous auctions. Have lost bids on stuff that I didn't win but that's part of the process. Happy bidding to all :)

Skoreit is like the stock market... don't get into it unless you're willing to really dive into it without regret. Dont put in money if youre not willing to lose it. I, personally, play on skoreit a lot and have even hit the cap of 12 wins per 28 days (yes, they cap how much you can win to give others a shot). I have put in about $300+ all together, but with the auctions I've won, I've saved around $500+ (my winnings include an IPad for $34 total including shipping and cost of bids used to win it, a new gen IPod Nano for $15 total with shipping and bids, plus a flip camcorder and various gift cards and precious metals). For one, it is not a scam or a rip off. People like to just call it that because they either don't understand the concept or are sore losers. It is accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A- rating (according the BBB, the only reason it's A- is that it hasn't been around for very long). Yes, there are power bidders, but power bidders do not equal shill bidders. People who complain about using bid agents and say they use up all your bids, don't know how to use them with proper strategies. Are penny auctions, in general, for everyone? No, they aren't. But this particular one definitely isn't a scam. I'll leave this link as further argument against all the skoreit naysays http://pennyburners.com/community/showthread.php?t=857

Complete Rip Off!
I am surprized that Mike & Mike actually endorsed this Auction.
You'll save more by actually buying an iPad from Apple.com than from SkorIt!
AVOID THIS SITE BY ALL MEANS

I too heard about this site on ESPN from Mike and Mike and thought with them promoting it, it must be pretty credible. I do not beleive it's a scam, you can actually win items for a great price but it's not easy and in the end you could end up spending hundreds of dollars and win nothing, To me that's not a user friendly website. I was interested in the Invicta watches they had for auction, they said retail price on these watches was between 395.00 and 495.00. Well when i looked them up i found i could purchase these watches for 60 bucks on other sites, which really bothered me. Looks like alot of other people realized they are cheap watches too cause they never get bid up too high, thank god. For the Designers and Creaters or SKOREIT.COM, I think the site is Ingenius. They are making a killing which is another example of Abusive capitolist behavior to exploit the american people. Doesn't take a genius to figure out that if a 500 dollar ipad bids for bewteen 35 and 55 dollars with penny bids, they are making 2000 to 3000 profit on it, but the ultimate winning items are the bid packages themselves which cost them nothing. As we speak a 240 bid package just went for 8.33, which on average, means they made around 700 bucks on that. What a joke. I wouldn't reccommend this site cause the only winners are the people who own and created the site.

I am a disabled physician. I trred this site as I heard it on Mike and Mike in the morning as others did. At first I spent a few dollars. But let me tell you-yes like all the other negative comments there are auto bidders that are suspicious! I have won auctions--TRUE. Bottom line its LUCK! You can have a stragedy--but it all goes to hell when someone signs on and bids another 240 bids for something. An I Pad 16 Gigabyte soled for 74.00 dollars! Now do the Math. That was 7400 bids times about 63 cents a bid.! Four thousand two huindred dollars. These auction sites a purely gambling. The items I have received are legitimate. But there are so many people out there that resell what they win on ebay. Its aboiut timing and luck. If you can sit all DAY AND WATCH SOMETHING--YES YOU CAN WIN. Setting up an auto bid is purely a gamble! When I look back---I have lost almost three Grand and really did not need the stuff I won. Truly! Bottom and final line is this. Go watch and wait for a sale at a department store---you willo be less frustrated and less tempted and will be guaranteed to get the item. Not a gamble and a Loss. I think these sites all should be removed from the internet--period. I am Guilty of being depressed after major spinal surgery(and feel stupid as a Physicain having lost that much). But if my story can save anyone heartache, and their hard earned money, then I at least am a truthfull fool. Stay away from this site! Go to wallmart or target, or best buy. Thanks.

I've won 5 gift cards on SkoreIt, but still recommend that NO ONE visit or use this site unless they are VERY careful.

This site will rob you blind if you don't study the strategy very, very carefully. Even then it's still difficult to win. There's WAY to many powerbidders out there that have turned it into a business. They overpay here and underpay there. I don't think there's inside bidders, I just think most people are forgetting that they constantly have bid packs up for bid. If someone gets a 480 bid pack and uses 100 bids to get it, they are 380 bids ahead. If they keep doing that with bid packs plus invest money, next thing you know the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. If you notice, most of the powerbidders are the ones also bidding up the bid packs as well... so then they amass tons of bids and win practically anything they want.

I won about 6 of the $50 gift cards and a couple $15 Subway cards. I learned after wasting $400 that you cannot win the big stuff very easy (at all), even if you utilize sound strategy.

Ultimately, it's gambling and you have better odds playing at an online casino than at SkoreIt.

My BIGGEST frustration is that it's been 10 days since I won 3 different $50 gift cards and they haven't shipped yet... but I've already paid for them and the shipping/handling. They sent out Subway cards immediately after I won but held onto these 3. Tells me they are bidding out items they haven't even purchased yet... that is NOT a good sign. Aside from being a crapshoot at best to win, they don't even have the prizes in hand that they are getting tons of money for. That's BAD business.

I think paid fake bidders drive up bids. Auto bids are set at the price that will win
