Disgraceful outfit - Profited from my funeral plans. My experience started off easily enough.
I needed a flight from Cyprus to Nigeria so i could arrange my father's funeral. I saw a great price of 505 EURO and so I booked this. As my plans were liable to change I took out the TWG no quibble cancellation policy for £75 (gbp) - no problem so far.
Checked out and thought nothing of it. I then contacted them almost immediately to adjust my return leg which was done - so now I needed to adjust the return leg one more time but looking at one leg of my new booking the year was confirmed as 2021 an obvious mistake so I went back to sky tours and their first reaction was incredibly to deny all wrongdoing - I then realised that I had been charged the entire booking in pounds (despite airline confirmation of the booking being paid in euros) so overcharged again I was told this was my fault but I could use the no quibble cancellation and get £375 back from the £585 id been charged. Obviously appalled at this I went to my credit provider and requested a charge back. This is when things became really surreal! Their supervisor and company COO Elisabeth insinuated I was a fraudster and said I'd be airline blacklisted unless I cancelled my chargeback. I refused and was offered £425 back if I used the cancellation policy instead. And risk never seeing the refund and losing my flight so I also refused - I was told I could amend my flights at a cost of £200 if I wanted to - I said I just wanted the exchange rate discrepancy fixed and I'd draw a line under my dealings with this outfit - they blamed me for this and directed me back to their cancellation insurance - in the end I went to the airline directly who changed my disputed leg for NO COST! I have nothing but derision for this company. It took my charge back request to get any kind of response from them and their responses have been rude and insulting - do yourself a favour and avoid this company - book the flights direct with the airline. Sky Tours have wrongly but happily profited from me for simply trying to book a cheap flight to attend the funeral of my father. Shame on you and Big Sky Grup SA

I bought my tickets to fly to India during July 2021 (planning to fly during Oct 2021) along with "Gold Cancellation protection" which cost me CAD $146 extra, however due to COVID I needed to cancel my travel plans. I notified Sky tours to cancel my flights during August 2021. Most of the airlines and Travel companies process their refunds within 6 months. Sky-tours however seems like have no intentions to refund for the cancellations. For 6 months, Sky-tours kept me informing that my refund is in process and after 9 months they have denied the refund stating it is against their policy…I mean is this some kind of Joke? Sky-tours has offered a voucher, which is another JOKE and money grabbing tactic. The terms and conditions to use voucher is as follows.
Terms and Conditions
-Refund Vouchers can be used as part payment towards a future booking up to
Maximum amount of 50% of the purchased travel.
- Refund Vouchers are only valid for use at www.sky-tours.com and might be used
For any service advertised on-page.
- The new booking made with the voucher must be purchased within the validity
Date. The travel date can be later!
- 6 months of validity will be set every time you use the credit.
- Once the voucher has expired it has no use and the value is forfeited.
- Remaining credit can be used as many times until the amount is 0 (zero).
- Cash refunds are not allowed.
SKYTOURS IS A FRAUD, FORGET YOUR REFUNDS IF HAD TO CANCEL A FLIGHT.

As travel stopped worldwide in April 2020 and crippled the travel trade with meanwhile 30% of all airlines and business partners out of business many clients would not receive any refund. Sky-tours decided however to pay back everybody even if we will never receive any money anymore from former partners. We want to keep you harmless. But for being able to do so, without risking our own existence we have to link the refund with a new purchase. Depending on the total voucher value it can be used to cover up to 30%, 50% or 100% of the new booking. You may buy any service from us, flights on any airlines, car rental, and hotel rooms not only for you but you may use this voucher value also for your family and friends as well until the voucher is 0 (zero).

Ich habe vor zwei Jahren auf Grund der Coronapandemie meine geplante Reise an ein Hochzeit in Südafrika antreten können. Vor allem war nicht klar, ob Gepäck im Flugpreis inbegriffen ist. Dann habe ich von Sky-tours einen Link zum E-Ticket erhalten, der zu einer leeren Seite führte. Nach Kontakt mit Sky-tours Kundendienst erhielt ich einen Link zur E-Ticket von American Airlines. Warum habe ich nicht vom Anfang an den Link zum E-Ticket von AA erhalten? Danach habe ich die Gepäck-Frage mit American Airlines geklärt. Das Einkauferlebnis war somit umständlich.
Die Dame vom Kundendienst hat mir schnell einen Link zum E-Ticket von American Airlines geschickt und somit mein Problem gelöst.
Ich konnte ein kompliziertes Flug-Ticket zu einem vernünftigen Preis kaufen.
