Today I went to the smart styles in grenada ms and I can say the stylist was awesome. She took time and didn't rush through my sons nor my haircuts. In past experience this location has come a long way from the past employee. Thank you Angela we will be repeat customers.
Lady was a complete $#*! for no reason she is not nice and talked to customers with no respect I would NOT reccomend. She was also being very rude to my special needs client who just wanted a haircut

PLEASE READ. Called in last week explaining I wanted my red roots to be touched up blonde, and was quoted starting at $60. Got there, and after washing my hair twice, blow drying it without heat protectant twice, she said that's as far as "color without bleach" would get me and lectured me about being wrong about the price of bleach. Then why was I misinformed? This was Blanca. My hair was brittle and breaking at my bangs and in the back when I'd turn my head the wrong way, so my friend told me to talk to Beth, the manager, after she evened my 2" difference on each side trim. Called and asked for her, explaining the situation. She gave me a free keratin treatment to fix the mistake her staff made, now going from three hours of my time wasted to almost four and $76 later. Said she'd fix it for $50 (bleach, a bottom color, and another free keratin treatment). We set up an appointment, but I ended up getting called in and called to reschedule and told the staff with Beth. I just got a call from Beth saying that time wouldn't work. I can't keep chasing and wasting my time, and honestly shouldn't be paying the extra $50 anyway. Don't make the mistake I did! It's worth it to pay more, save your time, save you a breakdown about your hair breaking and looking terrible before the holidays.The owner has now Facebook messaged me to remove this honest review protected by consumer rights. Unbelievable. Blocked after she got the last word on Messenger because her first message was very intimidating and all she said on the second one was to wait for the district manager. Because she was blocked there, she took it upon herself to text message me, reiterating her point. I feel unsafe. This post here in case it is evidence and I am on the news. I was just mad before but now I'm beyond feeling uncomfortable about my safety. Please be careful where you go! I should not be scared into submission! This is essentially cyberstalking at this point! At no point in time was it professional to send an intimidating message on a customers social media and find another outlet to contact them with because of said blocking! Corporate can't come soon enough.
I went to this business to get a perm I asked the the stylist her experience and if she would look at my hair to see if it would work. I was very hesitant but felt safe. I went in and she did a few things to my hair before she permed it and then she checked it reroll it and let me sit even longer. She started to unroll the rollers and she looked a little uneasy and said my hair felt like cotton candy. Prior to this she said a lady came in the day before and she tested her hair before she permed it. Needless to say my hair was rinsed and dry and broken and burnt all the way up to about 2 in from my head when my hair was below my shoulders. She started cutting out the dead areas but you couldn't comb it so all she was doing was just cutting little chunks out of it. I immediately went into shock and just asked her what she was going to do about it. She called and manager at another store they informed her to give me a product and to come back in for a treatment or something. Nothing happened, I called another store and spoke to a manager and they told me that they would have to look at it I don't have time to drive around all over town to get my hair fixed when this should have never happens. Anyone that is experienced or has 40 plus years of knowledge allegedly should have never done anything like this to my hair. I have emotionally went through so much and just the last 3 days I can't even imagine what the next six or eight months are going to look like. I highly would recommend not going to this salon. I'm reaching out to an attorney today to file a claim due to mentally what this is done to me as well as the whole issue with burning my hair

Today I went to Smartstyle at 475 Route 173 E, Antioch, IL *******. I showed several pictures of what I want (including perm type and haircut). The woman started telling me it's not possible to do and offered me another style. I agreed and hopped to proceed. She put a few rods in, but because she was pulling my hair so hard (and I am already losing hair) I asked her to be gentle. Then after that she left. Another woman comes and told me that after she's done with her client, she will be right with me. She finished with her client and came back. She said that the previous hairdresser (with terrible hair herself) and I had a misscommunication and now she doesn't feel comfortable working with me. I had to repeat once again what I want and show her all the pictures and explain to her that whatever the other woman offered me instead I am cool with. The 2nd lady said she can't do that. So I asked for JUST A HAIRCUT instead. To which she responded "I am sorry but our salon is not the right one for you"... And I already agreed to what they offered me that they say they CAN do and after waiting for 1 hour I got NO SERVICE AT ALL! How STUPID and LAZY do you have to be to not understand it from the first time or not to improvise and try to get at least a haircut done? VERY dissapointed and DON'T RECOMMEND them to ANYONE!
