Purchased a subwoofer cover 10" size at a good price. Received it and checked fit by hand without mounting it. Decided to go with a larger 12" cover so I could keep the original beauty ring. I requested and received an RMA on March 9 and shipped within a couple days. March 29 I was told I would receive a store credit for about 60% of what I paid although their website policy clearly states a full refund (my product stated the 'standard refund policy applied' - they were metal speaker grilles anyway). I emailed that day saying I preferred a refund to my card - again exactly as their policy states.
APRIL 15 - someone finally emails me back to ask if I've heard anything further. I told them no and restated my desire for a refund to my card.
APRIL 26 they finally reply and say their warehouse team issued a store credit and they can't change it to a refund. I reply that day and state their website policy.
MAY 3 - they finally reply and "I'm not trying to be hard on you but our policy..." Even though their policy says I should get a refund. I reply that day and restate my case. They reply and say they'll see if their warranty department will agree to a refund but now they want to invoke a 25% restocking fee.
MAY 4 - They reply and state their restocking/return policy, none of which applies to my purchase or the condition of which I returned the metal grilles (no scratches, all parts, original box, etc). I explain yet again that the grilles were in perfect condition and ask for my refund.
MAY 5 - they reply "Since the refund has been issued, I can no longer reverse or override it. One option I can do on my end is to apply a store credit, I'm sorry this is the only thing that's within my scope." Funny - two days before they were checking with their warranty department but never mentioned any decision/feedback from the.
MAY 8 - I've been on the phone for 56 minutes with the same 5 callers ahead of me - really? 5 callers and not one completed call in nearly 1 hour. I finally chose the option to have them call me back. Any wagers on the over/under on how many days that will be even though the message says I won't lose my place in line?
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
They always have what i need and for cheap. I have bought all kinds of stuff fromt here and will continue to also.
Horrible Company --- Don't use this company ever! They charged my card for product they NEVER sent. Then they sent me a bogus tracking number that didn't track anywhere near my home, they sent me a photo of something that was NOT my home! They said to check my home, around my home. Then went I went to cancel it since I didn't receivve it, they sent me return stuff, when I called 'they sent me 'return stuff, then I caled and emailed them "i can't return something I NEVER got' then I called AGAIN, explained that I never got it. Then they sent me a affidavit, filled that out, had it notarized, scanned and emailed back, faxed it. Three times. The confirked it was received was told it would take 7-10 days, then got told when I called it would take 24 hours, it has been 3 days -- it is now 1/24 and they have still not returned calls/emails. I consulted an attorney and a legal aid and have paperwork prepared to file lawsuit to get my $$ back for product they never sent to me. All I want is my $$ back for something they never sent. I don't want a credit to their company cuz they never send product. I want my money back to my credit card! This company is a joke and I would not recommend them. Don't use this company for anything -- buy elsewhere or go to Amazon, you will get it from Amazon. This company steals your money and doesn't follow thru and sends product. They are scammers and theifs! Save yourself from being ripped off!

SonicElectronix is currently my 'go to' source for electronics, specifically car audio. I have been a customer for around three years now and have placed 8 orders. Occasionally I will find the same product at a slightly lower price through another online seller or through EBay or Amazon, but despite this, I generally, but not always, buy from SonicElectronix as I am confident that if I had any issue, It would be promptly resolved.
The website is attractive, well organized and I greatly appreciate the high resolution pictures and indepth descriptions and specifications that accompany the listings. Shipping is always very quick and items are always very well packaged. SonicBux are also a bonus as well as the instant savings pop-ups.
Small beefs: Getting through by phone to customer support is nearly impossible with short queues but interminable wait times. I suppose they could probably use more phone service agents. Also, support tickets sometimes go unanswered. However, with that said, on my latest order I did not notice that an included wiring kit did not come with a set of interconnect cables (subwoofer that can be run off high level inputs). Although I did not receive a response to my ticket, my order was updated almost immediatelyand they threw in a free - and decent - set of cables.
I was a bit surprised to read some of the negative reviews regarding service and returns etc. These may well be valid criticisms. However, to date, my experiences have been very positive. SonicElectronix will continue to be my supplier of electronics until such time as I experience what some other customers apparently have.
Sonic Electronix - SERVICE THAT SUCKS
I bought headphones from Sonic Electronix and paid for the shipment to Malaysia, where I live. I got an e-mail from Sonic confirming that my order would be shipped to Malaysia. However without my consent Sonic sent my headphones to a different country.
All my e-mails were replied by people who seemed to know nothing about my problem and I had to explain what happened over and aver again. It seemed like their task was to blame me in their mistakes and make me pay for it.
I spent a month of everyday e-mailing to make them acknowledge that they changed the delivery address without my consent.

Nevertheless they offered me nothing but wait until my order will return to their warehouse (about 60 days). This was the generous offer of the CEO Nathaniel Victor in his e-mail to me! And I would have to pay for the correct shipment one more time! This company is rotten from the lower management to the CEO!
After I had realized that the people in this company do not care about their customers and this was their official policy I started to ask questions on their facebook page. I hope they would be afraid to lie to me publicly.
What did Sonic do? They removed all my comments and blocked me from posting and commenting on their facebook page.
I think they deliver a lot of order to many customers for low prices and this is very good.
But if something goes wrong, your e-mails will be deleted, your time and money will be lost. Customer service just makes joke of the customers. They don't even try to solve the problem and just try to make you walk away - and stay alone with the problem.
They even started to BLACKMAIL me - demanding to remove all my comments from all the social networks in order to for me to get a refund. When I refused, they removed my comments themselves and blocked me from their facebook page. Facebook for them is not a social network, but a highly censored tool of propaganda - all negative comment are deleted by "customer support"

Attempted to place an order for over $900.00 in car stereo and security components. Took about a day for them to ask for an credit card authorization form. I have no issue with filling out this form as a protection for the retailer. I was a first time customer. My credit card company had even phoned me to make sure the transaction was legitimate as I had never made a purchase from this company.
Filled out the required information with appropriate ID as requested. Emailed form back to email address listed on the form. Actually resent the same day as had not seen a change in order stats. Next morning get another reminder about sending in the form. Figure the email is not working and send a fax to number listed on the form. Get another reminder later that day to send in form. Reply to email which generates a support ticket. Tech support eventually replies saying they still do not have the form, but email it to them and they will forward to correct person. Email form to tech support.
Next day, once again get reminder to send in authorization form. Email back explaining that it has been sent in 4 times by 3 different methods and they need to look for it, as this is getting ridiculous. Tech support asks to send it to them again as they do not have it. Email form for the 5th time. Get a quick reply that they have finally received the form and order will be processed.
1 hour later get an email requesting a wire transfer of funds as they will not process credit card as I have not provided enough verifiable information. Are you kidding me? I sent them Credit Card number, expiry date, 3 digit security code, billing address, shipping address, phone number, picture of government issued drivers license, and a picture of the credit card. (All of this is on top of my credit card issuer calling me to ensure it was a legitimate transaction.)
On top of the wire transfer they want a $25 fee for their admin costs of the wire transfer. Sent an email requesting a manager call me asap to sort this problem out and to leave a direct line that I can call them back on if I don't answer.
Tried calling them several times on their 1-877 number. Half the time you cannot even get in the cue because according to their system, they have "exceeded maximum call volume, pleas call back later." Got through twice and had to request a call back.
Now I did get 2 calls back but was unable to answer either time due to guess what?... having to deal with all this nonsense while I am at work. After waiting 8 hours for a call back from a manager, I have given up and will take my business and money elsewhere.
This has been the absolute worst online shopping experience I have had to date!

Answer: Because they don't have it in stock. They are notorious for posting products they aren't authorized dealers for and not keeping an accurate inventory of what they do have leading to them having out of stock items available for sale but they cannot fulfill the order because the company that makes the product doesn't sell to them.
