The gentleman were 3 hours late but they were super professional and took time wrapping my furniture. It was a good deal and I got connected to Ben James and he took great care of me on my move across country! I mean ya an ikea end table was broken and a lamp was bent, but i expect that in 3000 miles as ive moved many times. Overall the gentlemen were good guys from sales to crew. It took my items 21 days but I was in no rush and for just over 2000 I cant complain 1 bit! I am a mortgage lender and I would recommend these gentlemen to any of my friends and or family.
Stay away, the absolute worst! RUN At delivery, one month later, the crew just dumped my furniture and left. Nothing was set up as stated in the contract. Customer service not helpful.i never received a receipt. Just the worst Load was smaller than originally expected, price never got adjusted RUN!

Driver never showed. Told the day of pick-up that there was no driver. (We we're moving out of state.) The whole time pretended to be hunky-dory.
Costly to make immediate changes. Further more, had to spend additional money to make horse transport date changes, too.
On top of knowing their situation, they charged my account trying to claim "non-refundable". This company is sooooo full of it. There's no possible way that these reviews are legit. The American way is to eliminate these type of businesses. Poor business ethics by trying to roll the ball in my corner stating," For a refund, you'll need to call your bank……oh, you need to call to get an extension for us to get you a driver……. Oh, wait, we might be able to get someone later……our refunds may take up to 90 days". Bull sh-t, I can't stand dishonesty. I'm a business owner with plenty of integrity. How dare your establishment think and treat me, as if I'm an idiot.
I warned with a professional conversation, I once sued over $500 because an establishment did the same. By the time I was done, they had to pay $200,000. I saved my contract. This is the perfect place that needs to learn a costly lesson.
I treat clients the way I would like to be treated. With respect, honesty, and integrity. I would expect the same from any other business.

This move experience was without a doubt INCREDIBLE! Matthew and the team went above and beyond to ensure that my belongings were brought in with urgency and care. Anthony even went the extra mile to assemble my bed (I didn't even ask him to do so). From unpacking my items to bringing stuff inside the apartment to SWEEPING MY FLOOR! Matthew asked several times what he could help with, and I never felt the need to move a finger, even though I couldn't help it at times. I appreciate the level of efficiency and care that the team provided during my move. An incredible experience, to say the least.
Hired them for a long-distance move to TX. They quoted a very reasonable flat rate, and the two movers who came were fast, efficient, careful, and kept their masks on.
The movers came on time, packaged everything well and neatly, and got everything out in about three-hours for a two-bedroom house. I will recommend moving with these guys enough!

I give this company five stars for such a smooth move. They had us in our new house in Texas exactly as planned and on time. They were careful and very nice too.
In addition to being kind, they were also very effective. These guys were early by 10 mins, and the total bill was also less than estimated! Recommended.
This is their business plan:
First, they quote you a price for your move that is reasonable. You pay them. Then they will call you back two weeks later and increase the price. They will tell you that if you don't pay, they'll keep the money you gave them before and won't get to move.
Then comes the fun part. They outsource your move to OTHER scammers that increase your price double. They'll make up some excuse that you're "breaking their terms". My price increased from 4,000 to nearly 8,000.
Then, when they get to your home a month or so later, most of your furniture will be broken and they will increase the price AGAIN. They won't give you your things unless you pay them double.
I had a police officer there so when he started talking about doubling the price again, the police came around the corner and he suddenly "changed his mind". If you call Southern guarantee during this, they will outsource your calls to India.
I forgot to add, the second and third companies they send you to ONLY accept money orders so say bye to proof of purchase or a refund.

I hired them to move me from my storage locker in Missouri to my new home in Arkansas. They quoted me $2200 and i payed $1100 down payment. A few days before the move a Mathew Higgans from quality control dept called to review my I inventory. I said it hasn't changed, its a 10x12 storage locker, the same as i had said during the call with Chris the mover. He then informs me that it would be $7000. I told him I couldn't afford that and would like my deposit back. He then tells me its none refundable. So Im out $1100. As a retired widow that really really hurts. It is wrong in so many ways. I hired a local company as I should of from the start. BEWARE, THESE GUYS ARE BAD NEWS!
I called to try and cancel but they will not refund my money last week. Then I changed my dates, and no call no show after I was told 2 x' s that the movers would be here in 30 min. NO Show, NO Call, so they are in Breach of Contract and I will get my deposit back. They do not take CC they said, so BOA will go after their $#*! for no service and will contact the Attorney General as well. I have on 1 day to get out of my condo that was sold, and they could care less. DO NOT USE!
They took 1334 dollars in cash and on the day of move a man and a woman showed up in a SUV and the man started yelling that his 24 ft truck cannot come up the driveway. I told him we just had a 28 foot truck here with no problem. I also said we can carry the 15 items to the main road where your truck is in my Dodge Ram Truck. BUT HE HAD NO TRUCK ANYWHERE. The woman said give us an extra 1700 now and we'll send a truck later. I said no and they gave me the finger and drove off. I called the SGM and a gentleman said the charge on your contract does not include the moving expenses. He then hung up on me.
Do not use this company. They are not movers. They are brokers geared to take your money and deliver zero service or guarantee. They only mention they are brokers in their (several) BBB complaint responses. They only claim to be movers on their website. The fee they charge is only for them to arrange sub-contractors to pick up your items. They do not have your best interest in mind and have a zero refund policy no matter how terrible your experience is. They charge a fee based off the moving quote, which is nowhere near the true cost of the move (even with specific and accurate estimates), and all customer service is based in India - making communication extra difficult. Upon pickup of our things our driver missed the window twice with little communication. Upon the first attempt of delivery they arrived with the wrong items and no idea on the location of our actual things (tip: add a GPS locator to your things when you move). Southern Guarantee did nothing to help and offered zero refund or discount on my move, even though they subcontracted the work to a horrid mover. I was left alone to deal with the subcontractors they hired to remedy the issues. It took them 10 days past the original delivery date to find and deliver my belongings and offered zero discount. This company is as close to scam as it can get. Please do not use this company. I wish I had done more research and gone with someone else. Terrible experience.
This company is NOT a moving company. They are a broker. They will hire the cheapest actual moving company to move your things, and have a very cleverly crafted agreement that they believe absolves them of all liability when the movers are horrible. As the broker, Southern takes money up front and there is NO WAY to get a refund from them as they will blame any issues on the mover (or on YOU). In our case, the actual mover loaded half our stuff and then demanded DOUBLE the agreed price or they would not move us. We had to call the police who finally forced them to unload our things. The movers left, Southern claims we "refused pickup" and keeps the deposit. And due to the contract terms, very few are going to hire a Florida-based attorney to go after them and spend WAY more than your deposit on getting a verdict against them. They know this.
DO NOT HIRE SOUTHERN AND DO NOT PAY ANY UP FRONT DEPOSIT.

I was given a quote for moving my belongings but was told a much higher quote 3 days prior to my move (I tried to call them the week before with an update box count but they wouldn't do it) The price jumped up about $4700 as I had a lot more boxes. I said ok, and I got rid of some tables and 50 boxes. Their movers (who were subcontracted which I didn't know) showed up to load my things and without even doing a full walk thru of my house, stated I had more than they thought and added on another $1300! It was too late to do anything of course.
I asked to make sure my boxes would be moved and stored upright (they were not…many were delivered upside down!) I was told they didn't charge for tape or moving blankets (I was charged $300 for tape). I was told my things would be in storage close to where I moved (they did not. They were stored four states away) So when I wanted my things delivered, they wouldn't even do it until a week and a half later and I had to beg for them to do it.
Boxes were damaged and squashed and some items of mine were damaged as well.
I thought hiring movers would make my move much less stressful but it was the opposite. I was so anxious and worried about my things, I wished I had never used them and just loaded a truck by myself.
An appropriate, efficient device with great care by both driver and assistant. Polite and COVID safe. Excellent from booking to finish would certainly recommend. I will use them again.
Anyone who thinks they have been bilked out of there deposits please contact your local law enforcement agency so they can build a case against this company
To begin with we quoted $11,000 and give them five thousand dollar non-refundable deposit. When they showed up at our house the price nearly tripled. And then when we got to our new home how far things were broken or missing. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE! YOU WILL REGRET IT. AND NOW A POLICE OFFICER FRIEND OF MINE TELLS ME THAT THIS OUTFIT IS KNOWN FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE THIS WAY.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Had a move scheduled for today and everything possible went wrong. Was initially quoted 2300 dollars for a 1 bedroom apartment move agreed to this several months ago. Quality assurance called the week before the move and recommended adding a little extra space bringing the total to 3000. Agreed to this to be safe. Day of the move twas scheduled for a specific time of 11-3 and the movers did not show. Eventually they called and quoted me 1000 above the the 3000 quoted earlier last week. If you value your belongings DO NOT HIRE SOUTHERN GUARANTEE MOVING. My $3500, 00 dollar move ended up being $6300. 00. They contracted with Marshall Van Lines. My pick up was June 26,2022 I was told my delivery would be 5 to 7 days I got some of my belongings August 27th. When I called Southern Guarantee, they told me to file a claim. No one wants to take responsibility for the mess. And the belongings I have missing are the most valuable, so I believe they were stolen. Southern Guarantee Moving are liars, unprofessional and unethical. BEWARE I wish I had read reviews prior to hiring them. Hire a U-Haul and ask friends and family to help you won't regret it and it's a lot cheaper. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY SCAMMERS.
