I bought a TV and good Faith. Knowing that at the time, square trade was a good and fair company about fixing any issues that you may have with electronics TV's that sort of thing, but then when my TV had an issue with having lines and all of these different colors all over the place they informed in for me. Oh, well, we no longer cover that. But that's not a me problem I feel like this company just scams people out of money to buy their warranties and don't disclose every bit of the information of what is and is not covered. I highly suggest if you have a warranty with them, I suggest you call them and get your money back because it's ridiculous. You can cancel your warranty anytime you want with them and they will, give you your money back. I highly suggest you do that because they're complete idiots over there. Not a, one of them will do anything to help you.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
I mailed in my phone to be repaired because it was the most sensible option provided for my warrantee. It was supposed to be back to me within 2 days. I waited an entire week and had to talk to multiple customer service reps, each one saying completely different things, just to get an email that they couldn't even send me my phone back and that they had probably already turned it into scrap. I'm pretty sure none of the information I backed up backed up properly. I'm losing like at least half of my camera roll and I'm pretty sure that I'll also be losing the info on my duo authentication. They won't give me back my sim card. I'm losing a lot of data. My Microsoft account doesn't sync probably so I'm also losing my Minecraft creative realm which sounds so unserious but dude I had so many cool builds that I had spent so much time on. I've had to use an IPad to message my friends. I've talked to literally so many customer service reps and this has been the most stressful week I've had in a year and now I've been given one of the worst possible outcomes. Do NOT send your phone in for mail in repair trust me you would be so much better just buying a new phone and porting the data the reimbursement is NOT worth it.

I placed an order on ebay for some items and the square trade coverage and the items were immediately declined. So I was still charged for the coverage plan and now I'm being denied a refund.
These are crooks. I insured an item purchased on Amazon. It failed. They would not honor their "insurance". Total fraud. Stay away from anything this company offers.

It took 6 DAYS to repair a broken screen and get my phone back. When I called on day 3 to see what was taking soo long Latoya Wilson said it would be shipped and I should received it the following day. Obviously that didn't happen, and when I tried calling back to speak to her about this issue she had representative tell me she would call me back and NEVER did. I She is a SUPERVISOR, and I had to get a representative to me with a different supervisor by the name of Chavannagh that finally help me. He gave me a tracking number assuring me that my phone was on it's way back to me. Finally on day 6, I received my phone. This process has messed up money for me, and delayed my school work. I have done this process before and normally my phone is only gone 24-48 hours, this has been the WORST service I've ever received.
Bought the 2 year SquareTrade coverage for my son's Xbox controller through Target. I bought the controller in July 2021. The left stick has gone bad as of March 2022. No problem, I thought, I have it covered! I went online to SquareTrade and tried to file a claim. The site insisted that my controller was still under Microsoft's warranty. But the MS warranty is only for 90 days. Nope! SquareSpace denied my claim anyway, claiming erroneously that the warranty was a year. I logged onto my MS account and confirmed, as I already knew, that their warranty was indeed 90 days and my warranty had expired. Next I called SquareTrade and had to listen to the rep tell me over and over that the controller was still under Microsoft's warranty since I had bought it within the last year. Aarghhh! She told me I had to call Microsoft, even though I told her my account told me the warranty had expired. The problem: Microsoft has as crappy of customer service as SquareTrade, and I can't get a person there to talk to. Guess I'll wait till July when my year is up and then maybe SquareTrade's garbage warranty will kick in.

I brought a tv from Walmart Feb 2019 and forgot I even purchased the warranty. On November 3rd this yr I woke up as normal and proceeded to turn on tv like always and tv won't turn on. Went on internet and tried everything but nothing still worked, I only got the blue light that lets you know the tv was on. Goes online to see when did I purchase tv from Walmart app since receipts are saved on there and that's when I found out I purchased the warranty and it was still good til 2022 …
So I go online same day 11/03/2021 and started my claim Allstate (SquareTrade) I then called the number and gave them everything they asked for. They shot me an email for picks so I sent them pics of my black screen but made sure they could see that the blue light was on. They sent and email back that same day letting me know I was covered and they were going to refund me for the tv…11/12/21 I received a check in the mail for $239.27 and I paid $259.99 2yrs 9m ago so I'm a satisfied customer… I will definitely be getting a warranty again from these guys on my next tv purchase! Thanks

They couldn't answer basic questions and transferred me to Walmarts online customer service and then the physical store to try to get the serial number of the product (neither place could tell me that info) then they tell me that there is nothing they can do since I need to contact the manufacturer first, which they couldn't tell me what the manufacturer was either. I then got a little angry with them because what is the point of buying the protection plan when if I knew the manufacturer they will cover the product defects (mines covered for five years through the manufacturer I found out through my own search with no help from them but I bought a two year protection plan which is redundant). Not to mention they were being completely rude and unhelpful at every turn and the last thing they want to do is just give you your money back for the product. Its completely a scam they literally don't do or cover anything and this hasn't been my first bad experience with them. Just save your money and don't buy the protection plan through them.
Tip for consumers:
Just avoid buying protection plans through them all together more often than not the manufacturer of the product will cover the item for much longer and better for free.

We purchased a new refrigerator from Home Depot 15 months ago along with a warranty. We lived with minor problems until now that the main door handle is loose. It has a screw on top, but nothing I see to release or tighten the bottom. I called the warranty number. It is actually Square Trade aka Allstate. The recording said first step was to text my original invoice to the number provided. I did. Hours later, no response. I called and spoke with an Allstate / Square Trade Rep. I was told to continue to wait. Hours later I called back. This time I was told that texting doesn't work. I needed to email it and I was being sent a link which now took me to my account. I was told it was in progress and that I needed to call for assistance, the continuation of an endless circle. This time I did an online 'chat' and was making little progress until he finally understood the dilemma. I was disconnected from the chat. I tried again. After 30 more minutes the agent told me that the link does work, so I was given incorrect information. He sent me an email to which I would reply with my invoice. It arrived. Now I was told to call for a service appointment with another division. My wife called. She was told to send pictures of the loose door handle. HMMM? How does one send a picture of a handle that swivels 1/4 inch. Instead I sent a video. We were told to wait 24 hours for an update. Oh, yeah, one of the problems we reported was an ice maker that generally starts by leaking out water. I am told that is a known defect. We were told to take out the ice bin (no idea how to do that), flush out the parts with hot water. What parts? Where? Otherwise, they would not service it. Let's see if at the least I get some resolution for the refrigerator door appointment.

My Samsung washing machine broke and it is less than 2 years old. I set up an appointment with square trade to have someone out to repair my washing machine. They told me the technician would be out between 8 a.m. and noon. I called at noon after no one came to make sure I was still on the calendar. The woman assured me I was and that "he was probably just late." I waited another three hours. No one came. I called and spoke to someone who couldn't give me any info because the "secretary was out." I explained the situation and the man told me he would have his boss call me.
I called several more times and couldn't get in touch with the company. The boss never called me and the business closed at 5 p.m.
I had taken the day off of work for this.
The next day I called again. I spoke to a woman who acted like she did not care about me at all. She told me the soonest they could come out was a week from today and that the technician yesterday had a family emergency and went to the hospital.
Then LET ME KNOW. DON'T MAKE ME TAKE A DAY OFF WORK AND WAIT ALL DAY WHILE YOU SCREEN MY CALLS.
The supervisor has never reached out to me.
This company is the most unprofessional company I've worked with. I will not purchase any protection plan from them again.
This is the worse! We bought a tv at Nebraska furniture mart was told if anything hit the tv broke screen it was covered... wasn't covered! This place sucks!
Filing a claim should be easy and not take 3 days of run around. I e never spent more than an hour filing a claim for anything. Not for a broken phone, and not even for a car accident! But this…. WOW. Roy was horrible. Alex closed the claim and Tina had to reopen it then said she couldn't tell me WHO was being dispatched and I requested All Valley Appliance Repair due to their amazing services they provide, and the "best" she could do was add a note. So not only has it taken 3 days to get this claim FILED, we have to now wait for the approval, and another 5 days before we can use our washer!
Future PSA to all who are stuck with this horrendous company, MAKE SIRE YOU HAVE YOUR RECEIPT FIRST before even starting a claim! It's been almost 2 years so who knows where ours floated off to and that took 45 minutes on hold for the dot com people to get it to where it would even download so they could email it to us! These people do not make filing a claim "easy" and hassle free like they claim!
Worst company to ever be used for warranties…. We shall see if Monday resolves anything and if they actually send a respectable company to repair our washer….
Tip for consumers:
They were just horrible. They didn’t want to file the claim and kept finding multiple reasons not to.
They won't make it easy to use your insurance
They sent me to a cellular store to repair a dehumidifier. All the recommended repair shops are cellular phone stores. I wanted to speak to a human, but they make that impossible after hours. They do not allow an email where I could detail the problem and wait for a reply. The only help I got was a constant loop back to the FAQ page. I went through the online process and my claim was approved. I thought they would send me the cost of the item as they did years ago with my last claim. NOT ANY MORE! Their solution is to make me take my dehumidifier into a repair shop and then submit the bill for reimbursement. The repair estimate will be more than a new dehumidifier. So what do I do? Why don't they have repair shops where I can bring my dehumidifier in for repair and the shop gets paid by Squaretrade? What insurance company tells the insured to pay for the repair and then submit the bill for their approval? That is insane. What if they do not approve it? Then I am stuck with the bill. I cannot afford to repair the appliance and that is why I have an insurance policy. They make claims illusionary and impossible. I guess my only option is small claims court and to get insurance somewhere else. I advise you to avoid companies that do not have email addresses for customer support. It is a dead giveaway they want to hassle you so much you do not file a claim. No contact is good contact at Allstate. The hands that slap you in the face in my opinion.
Tip for consumers:
They will require you to find a repair shop. Then you have to get your item repaired and and pay for the repair. Then submit the bill to them for reimbursement. Will you get reimbursed if the repair is more than a new dehumidifier as is the case with me? No one has answered that question at Squaretrade. I would never get a Squaretrade appliance warranty. Look at their answers to complaints on other sites. They do nothing but say they are sorry.

I purchased a phone at Walmart and they offered me the Allstate square trade warranty plan.
I thought, since All state was in the name, and on the paperwork that it would be an upstanding company.
I had drop the phone and it fell into a mop bucket, and the phone Quit Working Circle, Square trade because that's who answered the warranty and they said they were going to send me a replacement phone but I had to send my phone in first so I removed all my information out of the phone and sent it in four weeks later after calling and checking on it they told me they were going to send me my money back to Walmart because that phone is no longer available now I just bought this phone in January. I told him I need to replace my phone case and all my other accessories since they says the phone was no longer available is that the warranty only cover the phone I said all of that was a purchase at the same time but they never try to call me. This is my second time to dealing with this company and now I had to go buy a phone, why even buy the warranty

I purchased a Tv and got a 4 year plan to cover it. The Tv went bad 2 1/2 years later and the plan was to cover a replacement or refund the BASE purchase price. I paid $430 and the base cost was 377.99 for the Tv. Everything was moving along and was informed that I would be receiving my check via post. I was disappointed that I was out a Tv, but happy to get the base cost back to buy a replacement. The check came in for a prorated amount because " It was a used product and to save me the shipping cost " as said by Billy the customer service rep. Via chat. That is total nonsense and a lie. There was no mention of a prorated amount in my previous discussions and was specifically asked to provide a base cost as that would be the amount refunded. I feel like I'm being given the run around. Representative Billy informed me that he and his team are not equipped to assist customers with these matters and gave me a number to call. In true "BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE" fashion the department that handles Tv claims is closed. I was told to call again tomorrow. Why would a customer service rep tell me to call now when they know what hours that department operates at?! At the very least inform the customer of the department times. This post as well as my chat transcript and images will be posted online and forwarded to Gamers Nexus, LTT, Google reviews and the BBB. Insurance companies make money when they don't have to play claims especially when they inadequately fulfill a claim.

I have had computer, cell phone & big screen t. V. coverage. It appears to me if you are very determined & willing to jump through all the hoops & hurdles "they" throw at you, you may get coverage. If, you need their help finding your warranty - forget it. Once, I looked for my computer coverage & was told I didn't have it. 2yrs later, they said I only have two computers coverage information when looking for my cell phone coverage! Then they didn't want to give me that info (?) why; they don't want you to file a claim! With the phone, I almost chose not to continue with the process over a $5. 9. 95 phone. Their banking on that. So, I persisted. Now, on a t. V. I have everything they could possibly need & given; yet, surprisedly - they can't verify with manufacturer. I'll update this review with outcome. But, it is more then frustrating & be prepared for a voicemail question process which asks for same reciet info provided each time you call. They'll never call you. Good lucky our Patience will be tested.

A deceptive group of people who make it nearly impossible to claim losses. The claims process is not difficult but what they tell you and what they do are not the same. LIARS & THEIVES
I am an old guy... I have been in IT for 47-years and networking for the past 30-years. So when I say I know technology I have worked on almost everything.
Since I had no intention of staying with Assurant for mobile device insurance due to how crooked they are I started looking for a replacement. A lot of folks told me SquareTrade was a very good company... my experience was very much different. I tried to setup a plan with two phones... my daughters S21 Ultra and my iPhone 12 Pro Max. After entering the data and closing out I went back in a hour or so later to input receipts and found that the S21 was in the plan and the iPhone was nowhere to be found. I called customer care to see if they could find the second phone and they were not able to. Also after working with TMobile for an hour to get receipts after I uploaded them I got an email that indicated that I needed to upload a receipt for one of the phones but didn't specify which one. I finally told them to cancel the plan and refund my money to which they sent me the process to cancel it. To say they website doesn't work as it should and their customer service is inept would be an understatement.
Steer clear of SquareTrade if you looking for mobile insurance.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it...

I can't remember why I purchased the Walmart warranty instead of AppleCare but I did and man do I ever regret it. There's an issue with the charging port not working on the iPad. I created a claim with SquareTrade. Initially, they wanted me to mail the iPad back to them which would have required me to obtain shipping material and the item would have been gone for some indeterminate amount of time and no guarantee that they would even reproduce the problem as it is intermittent. I complained and they gave me permission to go to a local repair store. I took it into Apple and they reproduced the problem and indicated that the iPad was not repairable and would need to be replaced at a cost of $420 + tax. They gave me a work order identifying this. I uploaded this to the SquareTrade site and then didn't hear anything back for two days. I called and spent about 30 mins on the phone with them. They couldn't find the work order so they asked me to add the work order again and then call them back so they can pre-approve the work order. They wouldn't allow me to do this while I was on the phone. I hung up, got the email but there is no way to upload the work order as a receipt has already been provided. So I called back. They had no context even though I entered the claim number and name. I think all will be fine in the end but man - AppleCare is so much easier than this and it's the same price.
I bought an LG combo washer dryer and purchased a 5 year protection plan with it. I have had issues with it in the past and Square trade paid out NO PROBLEM. But this time, I had to borrow the money to pay it, they had me in hold for over an hour today looking over my repair invoices, completely legit invoices, finally got someone who spoke English and he said he would call me back personally and get this handled. I then receive an email saying my receipt didn't have 4 pieces of information on it that were clearly in the receipt but, they never asked me for my purchase receipt, just my invoices. So I sent them with a nasty note and got yet another email back saying they can't process my claim and asked me to send it again so I did, 6 screenshots 3 times. This is $490 dollars I can't afford to pay my friend who used her savings to help me and she has nothing now too! This is absolutely disgusting, I will be contacting BBB and whatever legal resources possible.
I would have never gotten it fixed if I knew this would happen, never ever had an issue before.
The girl that originally approved my claim wasn't listening to me at all either. I had to repeat myself over and over again.
I could have financed a new unit on sale for all this. I'm so disgusted, ALLSTATE BETTER PAY ME, EXPEDITED!
Item was covered by 2 years warranty from them, I sent them receipt, but no answer after several emails.! AVOID!
