I bought a TV and good Faith. Knowing that at the time, square trade was a good and fair company about fixing any issues that you may have with electronics TV's that sort of thing, but then when my TV had an issue with having lines and all of these different colors all over the place they informed in for me. Oh, well, we no longer cover that. But that's not a me problem I feel like this company just scams people out of money to buy their warranties and don't disclose every bit of the information of what is and is not covered. I highly suggest if you have a warranty with them, I suggest you call them and get your money back because it's ridiculous. You can cancel your warranty anytime you want with them and they will, give you your money back. I highly suggest you do that because they're complete idiots over there. Not a, one of them will do anything to help you.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have been trying to get my motorized couch fixed for over 6 months. I took pictures and sent them to the service with my original receipt and agreement no less that 4 times and they still would not process the claim. I spent approximatly 5 hours on the phone getting my information updated with them. Only to have them come to my address to evaluate the product, do nothing but order parts to the WRONG address (for the couch that they came to evaluate at that specific residence) They sent the parts to the wrong address, missed a 3 hour window appointment when the parts finally arrived months later. Worst customer service ever. Couch still not repaired!
8 Mar 20 bought a new coffee maker from an Ebay merchant for $22.
Ticked the box to buy a 2-year warranty from Square Trade for another $2.
It stopped working near the end of Jan. So it lasted 10 months, and 3 of those it was in deep storage, so it lasted only 7 months of actual use.
2 Feb I registered a claim with the manufacturer (Bella-Sensio) as it was still under a 1-year warranty.
They requested a string of data from me, including a photograph of the bottom of the unit, which I returned the same day.
15 Feb It was clear they blew this off, so I filed a claim with Square Trade-Allstate. Again I had to submit a string of data, which I returned the same day. A rep said they needed 2 hrs to make a decision.
20 Feb I followed up with Square Trade. It was clear to me they had lost the email I submitted, because I was asked again to submit a receipt. (Square Trade is a company actively selling extended warranties in Ebay and Amazon.) I had to explain again that online purchases do not have receipts, that I provided instead a scan of my credit card statement showing the date of purchase, the merchant identity, and the amount I paid, (not to mention the Square Trade warranty purchase next to it).
End result was rejection. So after buying a Square Trade warranty for maybe a dozen things over the years, and finally registering a claim, I come to find their service is a scam.
Tip for consumers:
Save your money, don't bother with a scam warranty.

Hello I bought a product off Walmart in November 2022. I also purchased a two year warranty online at the purchase time. The Paw Patrol Couch, It was cheap material ended up ripping. Called Square trade was given the manufacture number. Lost the manufacture number so called Walmart. Walmart told me that squaretrade is manufacture which I stated cannot be true. Called than representative said right she sorry and told me she gonna put a note in for Squaretrade can give me my refund and to call them they should be expecting my call. Called Square trade was denied. Without customers getting a warranty Square Trade would not exists. So I think customers on any store should ask for a different warranty company when purchasing there product. Any if no other option don't buy the product. Square Trade is monopolizing on warranty profit and businesses. They only make there money off you paying more for warranty and there praying you loose your receipt or don't hit the deadline if your product get messed up. I think Allstate headquarters should do better with all insurance option they represent. Even the manufacture Spretail are rip off also.
Tip for consumers:
I suggest all customers around the world stop getting warranty. Unless it’s a option other than All State Square Trade.

Smart watch didn’t work. They refunded 12 and I paid 22. So while they say full refund who really knows. The smartwatch was hard to charge, hard to connect and icons did not work. So when I hit steps, phone, oxygen, etc the screen froze in place.
I brought insurance for my phone through Allstate (Square Trade) my phone was unable to be fixed so I was approved for a refund, however I have yet to receive it and it is going on a month now. I have called them SIX TIMES! All they do is repeat the same thing and tell me it will take 1-3 days. I just got off the phone with them and they are still telling me 1-3 days. This business needs to be shuts down! I'm VERY DISSATISFIED and DISAPPOINTED with ALLSTATE and SQUARE TRADE!

This company is the worst company you can possibly deal with. Before it got sold to Allstate this company used to be decent, now that Allstate purchase it it's just insane how bad this company became. Customer service sucks. I tried to call customer service several times and ask to speak to a manager and I just got hang up on. When I open my warranty they try giving me less money than what i usually get in the past when i open the warranty claim with Square Trade. I told them I was never charged extra fees before and you definitely not going to charge me one now. At that time i was put on hold and when they got back i was told no additional feel is bein charged. Guys DO NOT LET them take any additional fees from you no matter what they tell you, it's all bunch of lies. They supposed to pay you all your money minus the tax. Also as you can see eBay is no longer using them. Because eBay knows this company became garbage since Allstate took over and hopefully Walmart is going to do the same shortly after, dropping them like a bad habit.
I filed a claim for a broken cell phone. I was given the choice of an Amazon gift card or a check. I chose the gift card. Three weeks later, five phone calls later, and 6 hours on the phone later, I am still waiting for the gift card. EVERY SINGLE PERSON I spoke to promised the gift card would arrive the next business day. It still has not arrived. Every time I call, they ask me to send THE SAME THING I SENT WITH MY ORIGINAL CLAIM. It is clear I will never be reimbursed. The operators all have the same lazy been there done that attitude, and clearly, their business model is to collect payments and never actually payout anything. It is a scam do not waste your money.
HSN sold me the product and talked highly about the extended warranty. I bought it. Product had a problem. Square Trade said Sorry, not covered! HSN said it should be, but they cannot tell them so. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SQUARE TRADE!

Warning…Unless you belong to a certain bank, they won't process a trade in. Find out what bank they use before providing them with all your personal information! Seems a bit dodgy to me.
After dealing with this company I felt defrauded and demeaned. After paying for insurance, for years, my cell
Replacement was inferior in quality. I am beyond angry.
The insurance is on a refurbished computer monitor I purchased from newegg.com. I broke and I called to file a claim. They told me to call the manufacture. I did. They said it was not under warranty and to call their refurbished warranty department the next day. I did and it was about a week out of the 90 day warranty. So I called baclk squaretrade and allstate company and told them this. They started the process my claim. I asked them online written in chat if I could buy a used monitor off facebook market place. The online agent came back and said yes. I did that. I sent in a receipt of the purchase and screen shot of the monitor I purchased online. They denied the claim and said I need to bring it to repair shop. I'd like them to honor their word and pay out the claim like they said.
I would not have purchased a used monitor if they had said no. I want them to pay out the 249.00 claim. On a side note, best buy charges 100 dollars to look at a computer monitor and being a computer repair tech myself for 3 years there are 2 things that break in a flat panel monitor the screen and the main board. Both would cost more to replace then the warranty pay out of 249.
I talked to a manager, they reviewed the chat logs and they are going to follow the law and pay out the claim it seems. However this was awful, not easy, I had to threaten them with a complaint. I will not buy their warranty again.

Run from SquareTrade. Cracked screen and scratched back of my Galaxy Note 10 Plus. Called ST to explore my options. Was encouraged to do the rapid ship repair, told would have phone back in three days and would receive email updates throughout the process. Well, I could track my phone through FedEx, and watch FedEx try to deliver the phone for repair and couldn't complete delivery during normal business hours. Delay. Phone to be fixed "day it is received." Didn't happen. No updates. Crickets. Called daily to ST for updates only to be given FedEx tracking information. Phone sat for five days. I received phone on day 8. Screen repaired. Phone backing replaced with USED, SCRATCHED back. All my data was gone. Someone had my phone for a week with pass codes and could easily steal medical, financial and other records. My phone's data was all gone -- for a screen replacement. Never trust these people. I was a fool to buy the warranty, and a bigger fool to trust anything I was told on the phone. Run far away and fast.
Transferred from Pakistan to Jamaica to Caribbean to Jamaica to Pakistan to Pakistan. Each person said they would transfer me to a US agent. NEVER HAPPENED. We don't have people in the US who speak English to assist us? Really?
I filed claims on 5 cell phones at once and had 3 approved for fast cash over a couple weeks time and have been lied to by multiple managers about having the other 2 approved after their employees gave me wrong information. I had to retrieve my items from a dumpster after I was told I could dispose of them. Have been fighting them to cover the broken phones for over a month and a half and when I filed complaints to the BBB they denied my last 2 claims as retaliation. They are the worst company ever. They teach their CCR's to lie to the consumer just to be able to screw them out of what is properly owed to them. They don't even give you full reimbursement, they give you what they think the item is worth. So you buy a plan and they screw you every which way from Sunday. I am now looking into legal ways to deal with this since they have lied repeatedly on recorded calls, can never keep information correct and they never do what they say they will do. Not worth the time or the money. THEY ARE A COMPLETE SCAM and have had several class action lawsuits filed and WON against them but the government still allows them to operate. I think the government has a stake in this company and that's why they allow them to keep screwing the general public.

THIS IS A SCAM THAT EVERYONE SHOULD AVOID. WHEN YOU CALL IN THEY TELL YOU YOUR ACCOUNT IS NOT YOUR ACCOUNT AND THAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS YOUR ITEMS UNDER THEIR NAME AND THAT THEY DON"T KNOW HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE AND YOU HAVE TO JUMP HOOPS TO PROVE IT'S YOU BY TAKING PICTURES AND EMAILING THAT I GIVE AUTHORIZATION TO TRANSFER THE ACCOUNT TO THE EMAIL I WANT IT UNDER. I SPOKE TO SEVERAL SUPERVISORS AND REPRESENTATIVES FOR 11 DAYS WITH NO RESOLUTION. YOU WILL GET NO WHERE. THEY WANT YOUR MONEY AND DON'T WANT TO REPLACE, REFUND OR REPAIR. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE COVERAGE AGAIN.
If I could give zero stars I would. I have been fighting with these people for 3 months over an iphone 7 that is not repairable. First they told me the iPhone diagnosis wasn't detailed enough THEN, after yet another trip back to the Genius Bar for a more detailed description of the dead phone I ask for them to just complete the claim and send me my reimbursement. The next bit of fun was when they told me I had a "replace or repair" plan and since the phone wasn't repairable I had to either send the non repairable phone to them and they would send me an out of warranty iPhone 7 or purchase another phone and send them receipt of the purchase. So I went out and bought a new iPhone 12 and sent the receipt. And then they told me that my new phone purchase is not covered under the policy and I should return it and have the store replace it with another iphone 7. I was told on one of my multiple interactions that I could use the reimbursement towards any phone. Word to the wise don't buy a square trade plan ever. Spend a little more money and get one through your carrier or phone maker.
BECAUSE THIS WAS THRU AN AMAZON PURCHASE I TRUSTED IT. SO I BOUGHT A WARRANTY FOR MY TREADMILL AND ROOMBA. A WELD BROKE ON MY TREADMILL AND I MADE A CLAIM FOR REPAIR. SQUARETRADE HAD MADE ME JUMP THRU ALL KINDS OF HOOPS EVEN THOUGH THIS ITEMS ARE CLEARLY REGISTERED AND THEY ARE SLOW TO MOVE STILL WAITING FOR AN OUTCOME WILL ADD TO THIS WHEN IT GETS RESOLVED

REGISTER YOUR ITEMS AND SUBMIT PROOF OF PURCHASE WHEN YOU GET THE WARRANTY AND MAKE PAPER COPIES

Bought a phone at Walmart with the two year protection plan. SquareTrade is the protection plan, and when you go on their website they say replacement but when you call them with a claim oh we don't have that phone we can't replace it you can't take it back to Walmart because there's damage,... So the first time I called the solution was I'll give you less money than what you paid for the phone. No that's not working for me so we hung up and she called me back in like 2 minutes, and made the exception of will you can't get it fixed because it's too damaged you can't get it replaced because we don't do that which was a lie according to what's on their website, but we will send you what you paid for the phone by check in about a week. They should overthink their policies on this because who can go without their phone for a week?! By All rights I should have been able to take this phone back since SquareTrade didn't have a phone in stock, I should have been able to go back to Walmart have them call Walmart and get my phone replaced immediately and just pick up another phone. Never again will I buy a protection plan for anything that I buy at Walmart! I am extremely unhappy with the way they do business, the lies that they tell and the "Oh, we'll send you some money but not what you paid for the item?! What a horrible way to do business, and what a terrible protection plan this is. I would like for the CEO of the company or the board members to go without their phone for a week because the protection plan that they may have on their phone does not replace a phone if it's unfixable.
Sent my item into square trade and they kept it wouldn't fix it they're an awful company. I would advise that you do not use square trade. In my item was an xbox series X that I could not replace.

The plans are good but you better know your rights! Any time I've had to execute a plan (rarely, hey life happens), it's been a race to the finish line with these people. I've had to threaten them with legal action each and every single time.
Thankfully I'm a paralegal (freshly graduated and going back for another certificate), so I know what rights I have. I am easily able to nail them each time on the terms of the contract. When they tried to refuse to fulfill a claim (which they tried to weasel out of each time), then I just told them they were in breach of contract, in breach of the arbitration clause, and that in court I could get them for said breach.
It's amusing to hear it in their voice when as a consumer you start rattling off state statutes, then these low-lifes start rolling over. Simply because they know you have them simply because of a contract clause. If you don't let them push you around, then the company is okay. The warranties are okay for the products.
At the end of the day: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS as a consumer.

I had an issue this time with my printer.
I paid for this "insurance" in case my Air Pods needed protection, they started acting up. I reach out to Square trade, they have me go to my local Apple store since it's an approved retailer, I send the documents I was given from Apple store saying both Air Pods are needing to be replaced to Square Trade, they say those aren't acceptable, Ha! WHAT!?
Then I go to Geek Squad at Best Buy they deem the AirPods damaged, I take the document provided to me and send to Square Trade, they ONCE AGAIN tell me it's not complete. If you deem these businesses "approved retailers for service" why the HELL are you telling the customer they need to go again since the document provided aren't sufficient.
Your business is a complete sham and stupid.
I want my refund and I'm happy to share to everyone I know NEVER to buy Square Trade insurance since clearly they don't know what they are doing! I freely give this review.

I had a Samsung laptop I sent in to them because it was covered under a 4yr accidental plan. I needed the touchpad replaced. I get the laptop back and they replaced my touch SCREEN, not the trackpad, and the screen was defective with "phantom" touches. Needing it fixed fast, I had a friend who owns a local repair business fix it but even after he gave me an invoice/receipt SquareTrade refused to reimburse me for the repair cost even though the plan said they were supposed to.
I paid like $200 for a 4 year accidental plan and like another $200 out of pocket to get my device fixed by someone else. Learn the difference between a touch-PAD and a touch-SCREEN, goobers.

Had to call the company to get updated info for my son's Nintendo switch because I had purchased a warranty on it and found that they couldn't fix it so they are going to refund the purchase amount but not the taxes or the warranty amount. This is bad business in my opinion. I have to pay taxes and the warranty plan extra from thus company so why don't they? If this was a decent company they would not be half-assed on my return. Big companies always get away with things like this and im just one costumer. Just think how many other Americans have to pay and loose a portion of there money on a item they thought they had protection on. People are better off to get a extended plan through a different insurance company for real and true protection. This place doesn't like to communicate with there insured people and doesn't have to take responsibility for what they sell and claim to protect. Bad business and I will make it known everywhere so others don't get fooled by there deceiving company.

I'm out $50 for taxes and warranty purchase because they don't refund everything like i was led to believe by there own company.

I was making a purchase on Ebay August 3rd. 2021, SquareTradeUs was offered as a 3 Year Warranty plan on the product I was purchasing, so I also bought the SquaretradeUs 3 Year Warranty. Later after my purchase I was notified by the seller on Ebay they couldn't fulfill my Ebay purchase as ordered because he (the seller) had already sold part of the order/advertisement to someone else. They made me a counter offer or told me I could cancel the purchase. The counter offer didn't meet my needs, I cancelled my Ebay purchase. I then was stuck with a warranty from SquareTradeUs I didn't need and SquareTradeUs did not refund my money as I requested. Buyer Beware of this!
