I bought a TV and good Faith. Knowing that at the time, square trade was a good and fair company about fixing any issues that you may have with electronics TV's that sort of thing, but then when my TV had an issue with having lines and all of these different colors all over the place they informed in for me. Oh, well, we no longer cover that. But that's not a me problem I feel like this company just scams people out of money to buy their warranties and don't disclose every bit of the information of what is and is not covered. I highly suggest if you have a warranty with them, I suggest you call them and get your money back because it's ridiculous. You can cancel your warranty anytime you want with them and they will, give you your money back. I highly suggest you do that because they're complete idiots over there. Not a, one of them will do anything to help you.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
Square trade fraudulently charged my credit card $120.00 on on item I bought on eBay for $400! Tried emailing them but only got an email from a computer generated responses! Beware! Scam company! I'm surprised Allstate insurance is their partner! Probably should beware of them too because of that association.
Tip for consumers:
If you would have had a person answer my emails not a computer

Never lost anything but was charged $120 for insurance on an item that cost $400. I never order the insurance! Fraudulently charged by a company call square trade by Allstate
Spent in excess of 2 hours on the phone and online filing a claim, uploading pictures and multiple follow ups. Our Samsung oven is losing it's finish and the rough edges are sharp. Words like cosmetic, manufacturer defect, and other language gets them off the hook. They lost the claim in process and I had to call back and follow up. Don't waste your precious money or time! I will never use Allstate again for anything. It's pretty much a scam by time you read the fine print. Consumer Reports is right - don't spend money on any extended warranty. Now I know why.
Tip for consumers:
fine print exclusions mean nothing is covered

One call is someone that barley speaks English, the nest makes you promises things are gonna get done, then back to square one, then another non-English person, then an excuse as to why it's taking so long and "oh we didn't receive pictures (BS) send this email send that picture, call this number, press 2, I'll put you on hold for a while and get back to you (click). Like what the heck. I she. Purchased many times and have never made a claim and the one and only time I need it it seems there goal is to give me the run around until it's time to expire and then they'll say sorry we can't help now…. My advice, use a different warranty service.

Not to use square trade

I pay a family plan. I have our 1st claim. I send my phone in on a Tuesday and by fri still no phone. Check tracking and it says it will arrive Mon. 6 days later. It was fixed yesterday, Friday in the am. Overnight would be today Saturday. But of course they'll say we don't deliver on Sat. BS one day crap. A total lie.
Tip for consumers:
I wish they didn’t promise overnight when it’s definitely NOT overnight.
Don't waste your money on this cell phone protection plan. They will drag out the process leaving you with nothing and a broken phone. Allstate (not in good hands). So glad my home and auto insurance is not with this pathetic company. The glass screen was separating from the back of the phone and a green line lighting up the length of the screen. Spent hours uploading documents and sending emails. They take at least 24 hours to respond to each email leaving me without my phone service for more than two weeks. They have only enriched themselves on my over $560 in total in premiums and have not made me whole or offered any kind of payment. Allstate/SquareTrade is a joke. They should be ashamed of their treatment of policy holders.

Bought a GE gas stove and they sold me a 5 year protection plan. The front right burner stopped working unless I light it with a flame source, all others work accordingly.
Square trade says ii us dirty, it is not. It is defective. I will never buy a service agreement again. Shame on Home Depot for not taking steps to correct this atrocious incompetence by their vendors.
The Home Depot on line ordering and square trade!

Got approved for a replacement TV. Nearly one month later, nothing. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. They blame the shipping vendor. They take no responsibility and cannot give you any answers. I never even got a tracking number from them, as promised. I only feel sorry for the customer service people who have to field the calls for the management hiding in their offices and not answering their phones. Don't buy one. Poorly mismanaged…Sad company, only as good as their managers.
I have had to resubmit the same documents 5 times so far and still no reimbursement. The people you chat with are rude but that's not even the worst of it. No wonder a two-year warranty cost me $2. You get what you pay for.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use it.

They refused to pay because they said my tv was not plugged into a surge protector, I in fact have all of my tvs an accessories plugged into APC battery backup/ surge protectors. I sent them photographs as proof. Their literature doesn't even state anything about the requirement
I had over $300 worth of work done on my Galaxy over a year ago. After many attempts and hours of trying to have Squaretrade pay for the repairs, I have given up. I spoke with multiple managers who told me my receipts were valid and the reimbursement funds were on their way. I even sent in bank statements to show them the work was done through the approved repair site. Every time I was told my claim would be covered on the phone, within a day or two I would get a vague email saying it was not, with no explanation. I could have bought a second phone for the price of the insurance I was paying. Writing this to spare you the agony of thinking your personal item is insured when in all reality, it is not.

Did not have access to original email... so could not file a claim on -line. Up-load a generic form with pictures of receipt? No, that would be too easy. Must have an account. Like, we all need more accounts in our life, more passwords. Yep, that' what we need. Not just a mint box, receipt, defective item, ID -- nope, need an on-line account that does not work. Thanks. Please insert my $10 into your "account"
I purchased a warranty for an amazon fire TV. I returned the TV and requested a refund within their return policy. Well its been over 2 months I still have not received my refund yet. The CS representatives keeps saying the refund will reflect on your credit card in 5-10 business days. I've been told that now for the past 4 weeks by multiple SquareTrade CS representatives. Do not trust this scam of a company.
Sadly I had to give them 1 star I have been fighting with them now for 3 months to be paid for an approved claim on my snow blower. They keep emailing for more info or the picture isn't. Centered blah blah blah. This is by far the worst company ever... Stay clear.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Square trade warrenty co.
They use old scrap parts to fix your tv from other damaged units. That eventually go out. Then they make you jump through hoops. 3 weeks, no fix no solution.
I purchased an item and did not install it till after 60 day warranty. It did not work. No problem i had a warranty purchased guess what that did not function as well? This is there quote literally..."Unfortunately, that means the item was defective from the start and has pre-existing issues. We require all SquareTrade-covered items to be fully functional for a set period of time after purchase. Our plans are designed to extend protection of your item for long-term issues, not to cover products that were damaged to begin with. If the retailer or seller you purchased the item from has a return policy, I'd recommend contacting them to return it."
I placed 15 calls trying to place a claim, after trying to file a claim online. Which was next to impossible! When I finally met all the Square Trade requirements… They told me that I didn't meet all their requirements for insurance coverage. I should have expected nothing less from a company owned by Allstate Insurance, which is one of the worst carriers in the country. I will never… ever buy a Square Trade policy coverage again. Unless I want to waste my money on worthless insurance
Extremely poor service and I don't believe they have a clue what they are doing. I cannot even understand them on the phone. I had lines on my TV and they said it was from damage. No way not even a smudge on the TV. They never even mentioned the t-con board or anything. This company is just one big rip off. Reported to your insurance department in the state you are residing in.
I bought the Allstate protection plan on a TV through Costco. According to the Terms and Conditions, Accidental Damage from Handling was included; however, when filing a claim, we were notified that it had physical damage (cracked screen). Therefore, it was not covered. It was a clear selling point for this unit, and now I have a $2,000 boat anchor hanging on the wall. This is disappointing and frustrating. I don't plan on purchasing any further plans from this company.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! It took them days to process and approve my claim. Initially, my claim was closed, then I proceeded to try again. Once everything was reviewed, one of the employees lied to me and said that they would send me a virtual prepaid Mastercard, but instead sent me a gift card from the specific company! I didn't even pay with a gift card! The company is the reason why I used the warranty. I refused the gift card. Unfortunately, they didn't have a resolution. Please don't trust them because they can't get their priorities together.
Tip for consumers:
It's too complicated as this process is a headache.

Horrible! Jump through all the hoops to file a claim, but then nothing. Just sits there ans theres no contact info - no way to talk to anyone to find status or why it's been weeks with nothing happening
If I could go below 1 star I would. They're difficult to reach. The online process failed completely. I had to call in and spoke with Jess. I requested a replacement battery for my laptop, but was pushed into a cash payout that will not cover the cost of a replacement. I was told that a replacement would entail sending in my battery first, and leaving my system battery compartment exposed for 2 weeks while a replacement is found and sent out. In addition, filing this one claim cancels this 3 year protection plan 2 years in. I have other devices still covered under other SquareTrade plans, but will never purchase another protection plan from SquareTrade again going forward.

I purchased a blue ray DVD player on Ebay. It failed after several months. Now 6+ visits to the Square Trade website and 4-5 calls I don't get repair or replacement but $19.99. The insurance cost $2.99. Even at minimum wage I'm completely upside down. This was worthless and a huge disappointment!

I purchased warranty on 9-11,2019. Now I need new battery, Allstate could't find warranty; sent pictures of purchases then they cancelled my insurance. It expires on 9-11-2021! No reason given. Transaction are on Ebay. Is Square Trade (Allstate) a SCAM? It's going to cost me over $200 for an Apple battery, S/H, and service charge! I am 80 yr. Old & don't know how to send pictures I will get someone to do so if really needed.
Tip for consumers:
Check out to see if there is another Insurance for what you ordered; keep all receipts, copy the Warranty!

I really don't want a refund! I want help in getting my MacBook Pro fixed. The computer battery is glued in, therefore they highly recommend that a professional replace it as it could be swollen, it might blow up or start a fire!!! Knowing all that, I have to take it to an Apple provider; battery is $129.00 + taxes, don't know what the repair charges will be! It will be sent away and that will take approximately 2 weeks! Probably will cost close to $300.
Nightmare fiasco! I bought a cell phone though Costco along with a Square Trade warranty. I filled a claim as the phone was water damaged and deemed unserviceable by Apple. It was still within the warranty period. An "unwarranted XR " was not available. I contacted Square Trade 5 times via email and by phone and we're very responsive, but each time they requested something more to do. I even spoke with a supervisor and they said they needed a replacement cost which I submitted in my original documentation.
This was a legitimate claim and after 10 days without a phone dealing with SquareTrade I had to get another phone. The XR phone was not available at my at T mobile so I got another model. I continued to work my claim and submitted more documents. Finally I have given up and will go back to Costco who assured me they will use my evidence to discontinue marketing SquareTrade warranty services
If SquareTrade wishes to rebut my legitimate complaint my SquareTrade claim # is **************
