I bought a TV and good Faith. Knowing that at the time, square trade was a good and fair company about fixing any issues that you may have with electronics TV's that sort of thing, but then when my TV had an issue with having lines and all of these different colors all over the place they informed in for me. Oh, well, we no longer cover that. But that's not a me problem I feel like this company just scams people out of money to buy their warranties and don't disclose every bit of the information of what is and is not covered. I highly suggest if you have a warranty with them, I suggest you call them and get your money back because it's ridiculous. You can cancel your warranty anytime you want with them and they will, give you your money back. I highly suggest you do that because they're complete idiots over there. Not a, one of them will do anything to help you.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
Purchased this extended warranty for a kids toy (retro gaming system) under $40. I figured if something happened to it I would just get sent another cheap toy to replace it. After filing out a claim, these people want me to have a repair facility repair it and they will reimburse me. It's a cheap kids toy from China and no one is going to fix it as it's a hardware issue. Anyways tried chat w zero help. I wouldn't suggest spending your money on this warranty.

Paid for the warranty on my living room furniture. Took a little over a month to get confirmation that they will cover it ( all was covered on my warranty) back and forth to get approved tried to get out of it. Then order the parts and took another 14 weeks to get them in. Altogether 5 months to have my love seat repaired due to the couch material ripping. Don't get the warranty not worth the hassle and time to get it fixed.
After 2 years, the top of my couch is faded and the cushions have completely collapsed. It is very uncomfortable and unattractive. According to SquareTrade, if I spilled ketchup all over it, it would be covered, but fading and the structural failure of the cushions isn't. What a waste of money.
In my experience, square trade lingers on phone support, misguides for steps to take to possibly avoid sending a technician out and after five months has not been able to solve a refrigerator problem. I would spend way more time upfront to try and make the best purchase OR avoid a large purchase and find a work around so you don't need to rely on warranty or tech support OR make a limited investment so you can recoup and justify the purchase.
I intended to trade my phone in through JB HiFi. No contact or instructions from SquareTrade after purchase of my new phone until an email today informing me the 28 day trade in time had elapsed and my credit card was debited without warning.
When I sought to correct it by asking how to send the old phone to them the same day, they refused and I was informed the case was closed.
Could not recommend this company's practices.

Square trade is a waste of time. Bought cover for an ipad only for them to say they havent got any information on my account. I spoke to 3 different people telling me different things and sending me on a goose chase. Do not waste your money or time with this company.
If its a cheaper item, they're great at replacing it right away with the same item. If its an expensive TV. They send parts out and a technician, which the TV was worse off then it was before. When offering a replacement tv, they offer a tv that's about half the price and not anywhere near comparable. After arguing with them, they offered a tv a step right below the current tv saying its comparable. A different processor and half the HDMI ports isn't comparable in my book. Then they throw different brands at you. They wont replace the tv with the same model/series or the replacement model/series of the tv if there's a new series of it. I would rate this place 0 stars if I could.

They did however own up to the fact that there was a miss communication and that I was completely miss informed that the reimbursement could be reversed to a check, WHICH IT CAN NOT!.so I was offered 150.00 because I was inconvenienced! This is totally unacceptable so I lost 353.00...I refuse to used this E gift card that I specifically said I did not want. This company WILL NOT fix their mistake and the call takers are not trained properly and obviously do not know their procedures and protocols so they just LIED to me instead! So me as a consumer has to sit and take this mistake that this company made! I refuse to let this settle! I will call back on Monday.im so glad everything is recorded because when this goes to court all the proof will be there. Be very very careful about claims im sure im not the only one this has happened too!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had extended warranty with them, and when I called they could not find the warranty. The retailer called them and supposedly straightened it out, but when I called back they said they needed the original invoice, which I had sent. Then they said it takes 2 business days to receive the email. Meanwhile I have a broken refrigerator and no ability to get it fixed. Beware this company delays until you get it fixed without them so they don't have to pay. In short don't buy a warranty with them.

I had GALAXY S22 ULTRA and ufortuanetly after 17months I broke the screen. I raised the claim with the SQUARE TRADE and I was advised that they don't have same device in stock to replace so I will have to wait up to 6 working days to recive the phone, as they need to order SAME device.
I accept the fact it will take longer than should but I was happy with the solution so I paid £99.
Few days later I received the phone which was SAMSUNG S 5 MINI. Feels like joke now! There is nothing even similar to what I had. I called SQUARE TRADE and I was advised I need to wait 48h for decision if I will get SAMSUNG GALAXY S22 ULTRA. VERY VERY VERY dissapointed with the service and mistake which they did sending me very poor old quality phone instead! I can't run my business with this device as I lost my 105MP camera and having 8MP now!

I purchased the Squaretrade phone warranty plan through Allstate mid year 2023. March 2024 my phone fell & broke, I took it to get fixed cost $381, submitted claim with receipt & they denied claim saying pre-existing which it was NOT! WORTHLESS WARRANTY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON.

In 2020 I purchased a night owl security system from Sam's Club, along with a warranty plan from Square trade for three years, after the manufacturer warranty expires, something they did not tell you on the pamphlet for your warranty is that it starts the day of purchase not once the manufacturer warranty expires. My night owl security system stopped working in November 2023, However, in my Square trade Allstate account the security system warranty was expired. So the policy would not cover the security system. So basically they cover one year at the same time the manufacture warranty covers, but does not allow claims if the manufacture warranty is still in effect, so the first year of your Square trade warranty is completely pointless. So I purchased a 3 year warranty that truly only covers two years And Not three years after the manufacture warranty expires. Complete waste of money.

The worst experience i have ever had with squaretrade insurance its been a month or so my has lost her phone and they are dragging the case without no reason even she has submitted all the documents they needed she has done police report etc and put on long holds blaming to three that they didn't complete their documentation and three is blaming to squre trade and straight away they said we are not responsible for any thing and they deduct direct debit every month without given us what we want we have done all the documentation each and everything but they dont care …… actually they are scammers three and squaretrade both are doing scam just looting our money ……. Stay back fron them i suggest everyone take back your contract from them and stop be fooling us …. Disgusting they are …
I purchased a treadmill since 10/2023 the manufacture it's not replacing the treadmill that don't work at all,send emails/pictures/videos and they will not resolve anything it's 1/23/2024 still waiting on a empty box supposed to return the treadmill! We purchased a Samsung microwave wall oven combo unit from Costco, a very expensive unit, almost $4000. Little over 2 years, the microwave handle has come loose. I submitted a claim for repair, probably takes a tech 30 min to fix. But, I was told these are cosmetic issues and do not impact the functionality of your appliance. So wait until the handle breaks off. Seriously!
Bought the warranty for my office funiture and don't like anything about it. Will never buy it for any of my purchases.
Have submitted numerous screenshots of the purchase from Amazon's app with the details requested, but AllState/SquareTrade insists they will not honor the warranty. One agent kept me on for 30 minutes and said they will, and "the backroom" office sent an email hours later saying they won't.

SquareTrade refused to honor a contract on the basis that I have filed too many claims with them in the past. Refusing to elaborate what they meant by this they promptly refused to reimburse me for the money I spent to buy the warranty. In regards to making claims with them in the past, if anyone knows video game controllers they will know the wear and tear they go through and can breakdown quite easily. Because I have filed claims with them in the past due to this very reason, they refused to honor my current claim I have about a broken controller. In other words if you actually use their warranties they will simply stop honoring them. I do not remember reading any of this in the fine print but apparently thats a thing. Additionally, their customer support was useless during this whole process and strung me along for a month and a half before finally refusing honor the contract or even reimburse me for buying the coverage. Scam company so beware!

I have tried contacting the corporate office of Square Trade to speak with its leadership. However, Karl Wiley and his team are hidden behind their 1-800 number. The employees in the call center tell consumers that they are not allowed to give out the corporate office phone number.
This range needs to be replaced with one that is usable. I want to be able to cook cornbread, lasagna, roast and other foods, but I can't on this non-workable range that costed me a lot of money.
I am asking that the Federal Trade Commission resolves this matter. I believe that Square Trade has a history of recklessness. I believe Square Trade and Karl Wiley needs to be stopped because they are stealing money from consumers.
This company has lawsuits against them. If I had known this I never would have purchased an appliance from Nebraska Furniture Mart with warrant through Square Trade. I believe both companies offer horrible experiences.

Do not buy. It is a waste of money and a scam. I bought a full protection policy in my couch. They took over 5 months to even follow up on the claim and send a technician to my home to evaluate the couch then said they would need 14 weeks to order parts. When I asked for a better resolution they said no. So over 5 months to get a technician and over 3 months for parts, leaving my house with a broken couch for almost a year from filing and then the parts never came.
Purchased online Walmart Protection Plan powered by Allstate on 8/25/21. As requested. Emailed receipt of purchase also. Filed a claim for sofa repair on 12/6/23 (sofa back pillows warping)As requested sent photo. Claim immediately denied: Why denied? Discoloration, resiliency shown on photo. I am very disappointed. A service person should have been assigned. Reviewing from a pdf photo should not be a deciding factor for denying my claim f/ furniture in home repair! I had the little piece break off of my fitbit 3 days after receiving it. They refused to fix/replace it saying it wasn't a mechanical issue. According to their warranty they are supposed to replace it as stated.
Total scam. Indian call center. Barely speaks English. Did not offer any solutions. I purchased a 3 year warranty. My freezer died within that time frame. They refused to refund, exchange or repair. Total scammers just fishing for personal info. Any company that uses them should be ashamed and forced to backup the warranty.
