I bought a TV and good Faith. Knowing that at the time, square trade was a good and fair company about fixing any issues that you may have with electronics TV's that sort of thing, but then when my TV had an issue with having lines and all of these different colors all over the place they informed in for me. Oh, well, we no longer cover that. But that's not a me problem I feel like this company just scams people out of money to buy their warranties and don't disclose every bit of the information of what is and is not covered. I highly suggest if you have a warranty with them, I suggest you call them and get your money back because it's ridiculous. You can cancel your warranty anytime you want with them and they will, give you your money back. I highly suggest you do that because they're complete idiots over there. Not a, one of them will do anything to help you.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
After writing a review square trade customer service call me and agree send me 100 to fix my iPad some where's Else. And air pod they found the proof of purchase. And warranty both pairs and cash out the broken pair.
I call square trade to get my daughters iPad pad fix for screen, it was send before 3 time. Today 6-8-21 i call to get service they will don't honor the warranty even with 6 months before warranty expired. They said cause I send it to get service before. That's the reason you send it in to get fix if you have warranty. I told the lady I had 6 more months to go. I also tried to file a claim for my daughter air i pod and want proof, i told her I had send in a copy of receipt. Some how it disappears from there files some bull$#*!. They want me to go to Walmart and get a copy. How stupid is that. They had all the information since I first bought them, so i won't have this issues with square trade. After going through a $#*! show of them saying my account didn't exist and not being able to find my protection. I was finally able to get in touch and put in a claim to them. They then decide to refuse my claim on something that was covered and try to give me a $7 dollar refund for a $200 product. This was after having to call multiple times because of people hanging up on me. I will never use SquareTrade again and if this type of service is what I can expect from someone under the Allstate umbrella I will never use Allstate either. I hope it was worth it for them to spend $1.4 million to give bad experience.

My television broke. I had an expensive warranty I called. They said they would send a technician out. I took the day off work. Technician never showed called again and now they want me to wait another two days. Unbelievable this is totally taking advantage of the consumer.
Xmas gift failed. Sent Square Trade a copy of their receipt for the "insurance". Obviously they had to have been involved with the original purchase before they created an insurance document. They continually refused to pay because there was no receipt for a several year old Christmas gift which was identified. Save your money if you are giving a gift.
I bought AirPods and protection plan at Walmart. The AirPods broke. Apple replaced, gave me the documents to claim. Squaretrade approved the claim, but use delay tactics and won't pay out. I keep calling, texting, emailing, they assure me I'll get payment within 1-3 days, but it's always "in process". I have not received my claim, it's been close to a month.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid squaretrade. I advise getting applecare instead bc they really do take care of you. Squaretrade ask for paperwork, lose it, want it again, promise payment, don’t pay out, each time you contact them, you have to start from the beginning to explain to them their file. They exhaust you with their incompetence.

I purchased a Squaretrade warranty for $120 at Costco when I bought my cell phone. The coverage included cracked screens. I needed a repair and filed a claim. I was told that the $120 insurance plan that I had purchased applied to a $25 cellphone case I purchased when I bought the phone, not the phone itself. Seriously. This is a disreputable company and don't expect them to honor your warranty if you buy it. Waste of money.
I bought a camera on ebay and purchased the SquareTrade protection. They put in a tracking # which doesn't make sense since there is nothing to send. Seller lied and said I had cancelled purchase. Eventually, at my insistence, he changed that and said that the final unit was damaged when being packaged which also doesn't seem truthful since the one item was a lens so what final unit? I have written to SquareTrade asking for a refund since there is nothing to warranty since the camera was withdrawn. Am not getting an answer. In response to their original email, I only get a notice that the return email address doesn't work.
PLEASE don't waste your time purchasing a square trade warranty. They are completely garbage- horrible. My daughter was asleep in her bed when the bed collapse and screws were out. She's 6 years old and 65 lbs. I sent over several pictures as they asked and yet they continued to say they needed more pictures. I finally called and was told send over more. When in reality they were trying to avoid sending a new bed. I decided to purchase another bed from Walmart without warranty. Horrible company
I been a great customer to Walmart and SquareTrade. I am very dissatisfied that you claim that I will receive a 150.00 check in so many days. First of all, I paid 169.00 for my furniture. I started this claim on the 9th and had all kinds of misdirection's and problems. Instead of my money going back to my payment method, they say a check for 150.00 not what I paid, but 150.00 is offered and it's in a check form which supposed to be sent after some review, then it will take 5 or more business days. I have cancelled my other protection plans because I don't plan on using this service again unless I see improvements. I have not had this problem in the past when my fireplace stopped heating my room. They issued me a reimbursement of what I paid and delivered that payment to my payment card.
Do NOT purchase SquareTrade or Allstate protection plans for Apple products. They are now offered at Costco in place of Apple Care. They do not repair the devices and replace parts with cheap knock offs which devalue the decide for trade in value. They are NOT available 24/7 and it is a painful process to file a claim. And then you get bad results.

I drove 45 minutes to the repair shop they made me go to only for the repair shop to have never even heard of square trade and the repair shop actually damaged the phone further. Bought the plan from Target. When I tried to redeem they depreciated the value of the item because I had it for 11 months. When asked how that was allowed when the pamphlet I got says nothing about this, I was told it was in the Terms and Conditions sent to me 11 months after the purchase! How is that even legal! Worthless program built to steal your money!
I purchased a HP computer from Walmart on 9/26/20. At that time I was assured by the representative that it was "ADH" protection, and this claim was also on the Walmart Website. On 2 occasions I called Squaretrade for problems with my computer. The first time I called because every time I used the white board feature it created a "fan of lines" across the screen. The representative informed me that it was a problem that they did not cover. On the second occasion I called when my monitor fell over, and was then informed that I had a "standard plan" and not an accidental plan. In any event, they do not cover anything and unfortunately, you do not find out that information until you call for repairs. It is honestly a complete waste of monies.

I was sold this plan at Sam's club as phone insurance coverage and told it would fully cover my phone. It doesn't cover loss or theft. While my phone is not lost it doesn't give me piece of mind that if I do lose it I am out of luck.
The reps are not helpful and it is horrible that I cannot even schedule a repair without upfront payment. My screen is cracked and while in the past Asurion was a pain to deal with it was a 30 dollar deductible. This warranty is 129 and I cannot even get proper service. They deduct money from my account every month but cannot setup a future payment for Friday.
I've had their policies for years and never had an issue, until NOW. After holding a 4 phone policy for two years, a dropped phone led to catastrophic damage on my iPhone 14 pro max. The agent said to go to service provider- Apple, only 2 stores in my state (Alabama) but ok- done, get the work order, ok- done. Speak to agent- replace with an out of warranty phone for 768.00, done. Now- I owe AT&T for $850, fine, charged the $768 to my Apple CC, turned in all documents: then WHAM- SquareTrade sends me an email for $633.00 AMAZON GIFT CARD!
What the heck is going on!? Just don't do it.

These people are simply scammers. Opened a claim on a vacuum cleaner that played out on me at the 92 day mark. Walmart would not refund, so went to file claim with SQ. They said they would refund by email with a gift card. That was five phone calls and two months ago. Said they lost my email plus other excuses. Scammers, plain and simple.
I only gave 1 star because I had to. This is the worst company to deal with if you file a claim. They give you the run around and you will spend hours and days trying to process your claim. You will get disconnected multiple times. They will put you on hold and talk to the " team" whatever that means. I had a policy I signed for that stated 4 claim maximum. I put in a claim and it took about 20 hours ( I'm not exaggerating) to finalize the claim. I was told I had only 3 claims left if anything else would happen to my phone. Well I cracked my screen... now 5 hours later ( again not exaggerating) I am told I have maxed out because they replaced my phone already. No where in my original contract did it state there was a once replacement. It stated only 4 claims no money value mentioned. They are an awful company to deal with. I have never wrote a negative review before but this company is that bad. Please save your money and time get insurance else where.
The laptop was cracked. They fixed part of the crack but not the hinge and sent it back. We had to start over with another claim and send it back. It came back with the g&h keys not working. A quick google search shows the culprit is an improperly seated keyboard ribbon cable. Now we have to send it back again. I will NEVER buy or recommend Square Trade to my clients again.

When I called back to follow up, they said there's nothing they can do to help me I was polite and did not raise my voice, but was hung up on while trying to explain the situation. HORRIBLE experience. Would get a negative rating if I could.

I have had a terrible experience with squaretrade. It has been over a month since I sent my phone in the mail for repairs and the team never proactively gave me updates. All of the timeframes I was given have been extremely delayed with no explanation. I have been offered no compensation or resolution for anything. I have had to call 3 times for updates and everyone I spoke to provided me very little support. I would rather pay full price to repair my phone than deal with this process again. I definitely do not suggest you pay for this service unless you are happy to wait months and months and spend countless hours following the team up.
Stall you, won't pay for repairs always say they didn't get the repair bills, bad company to deal with on the phone, sent paperwork in at less 10 times and they say they didn't get something, run around
Have a warranty bought on an induction range
They assign the repair to a local company. The company supposedly puts the job on their website. They say the have hundreds of technicians. Since no one wants this job, nobody signs up. Called squaretrade and they tell me someone will sign up soon. It has been 10 days since I filed my claim. No one has showed up yet
My phone is not working anymore, I have taken the squaretrade insurance recommended *******@MEDIAMARKT and for literally NOTHING. I am without the phone, no one gives me a solution cause my insurance policy has been lost in their system... great! Is it my fault? If I pay for a service I expect something in return...
I am leaving Spain tomorrow... without the phone, without any help from them. I am asking not for a reparation anymore... I want them to give me a new phone and that's it... it's too long waiting already.

I bought a car amp for 99 dollars off amazon. The Amp has had a bad channel 1 since day one. I've sent it under warranty twice. 1st time they fixed nothing told me check speakers. Second time they resoldered a circuit allegedly. Problem still exists. RCA inputs are bad and they just return item saying "customer needs to check speakers". Speakers are fine. They work well with another amp and I've tried 3 different speakers and 4 different sets of RCA cables. Everything works fine except when using this broken amp
The techs are incompetent to properly troubleshoot or repair electronics. They lazily slap a check speaker response and send back to me. At this point shipping is exceeding value of the item. How does it make sense to inconvenience me 3 times now and spend more in shipping than the value of the item? Don't buy anything with a square trade warranty. Buyer beware

Purchased many ST warranties (over a dozen active) but have never used one (luck + good shopping practice). For starters, whatever warranty term is stated, subtract one b/c ST will make you go to the manufacturer for the 1st year. In addition, the amount of time spent trying to complete/receive a warranty replacement would be better spent buying a better quality product (unless your hourly wage is <$5/hour). Finally, if you care about quality, instead of replacing 1:1, ST has the option of replacing with an item of THEIR choice. Turns out Square Trade warranties are not so square - more like obtuse.
