My life, auto and renters all in one,the app is fabulous, adding and updating a policy with ease, great customer service, great rates, they just don't say they appreciate your business, they show it.
I been with StateFarm for years! The last 6 months my monthly payment has gone up $56 dollars! I made a claim on my boat and they told me I was covered! Took 37 days for them to send someone out to look at the damage! Then they decided I was not covered and denied my claim! I try to call but nobody will talk to me or return my calls! No choice but to get a lawyer! It should not have to go this way!
A couple weeks after starting insurance with State Farm, I received a letter that my original insurance quote was incorrect and I needed to pay $311.31 more. I spoke to two agents and no one would explain the reason for the increase. I quickly jumped back to my previous insurance company which was cheaper than State Farm. What a complete waste of time.
These 800 bill pay people don't know how to work a computer or understand English. They screw up our accounts all the time. We all have our own accounts under one roof and they change my payment info whenever my kids call to make a payment.
Adjuster screens calls through voicemail and doesn't respond to my attorneys. Its a simple auto claim. I resent having to sue and if they don't respond, we'll have to go after the driver. So what good is it for him to spend on insurance if they hide when called upon. They're a terrible partner in driving. PS. This is going on for a year

They dropped me after 20 years because my house was vandalized and I made a claim. I can not believe I gave them money for all those years only to be dropped. Now all the new companies I apply for ask if I have made a claim in the last year. As soon as I say "yes" they say 'no thanks'. Thanks State Farm for kicking me right in the nuts. You guys suck!
Usually Chris Bruce is polite and respectful when I speak with him but that Michelle/Morgan or whatever name customer service rep is very rude and unprofessional. Not only was she using a rude tone with me like but she kept cutting me off and eventually hung up in my face! I have received poor customer service before but this tops it all, I've never felt so disrespected as an adult and even a human being when you're frustrated and confused and someone starts talking to you like you're nothing because after the holiday weekend (less than 10 days) you forgot to take a course. The link got lost in 20,000 emails, that does not mean I deserved to be ridiculed and cut off and a phone hung up in my face like I don't matter. When I respectfully asked her to stop being so rude and asked for Bruce her solution was to hang up in my face yet here I have been bragging on how great State Farm was. That lady has no respect.
My 30 day old car car was stolen and State Farm refused to cover repairs. They approved the installation of defective 'reconditioned rims' and would not approve the same repairs identified by three different repair facilities. Car is diagnosed as 'Unsafe to drive' and State Farm has refused to fix it or pay me for the totaled car. When I asked for them to approve another review and diagnostics of identified damage, they said 'we don't do that. That is how people commit fraud." Stay away
Lie and cheat to get a claim, they tried to give us at fault to someone who hit us with no license no insurance no registration also tried to get us to admit we hit him when he hit us and has evidence of side swilling someone else this was insurance fraud and I want justice for what happen.

My son was a passenger in a car in Charlotte, NC. He was shot 2 times by a Road Rage driver. He is lucky to be alive. StateFarm did not require the driver, who is their customer, who had full coverage on the car, to even have his car (full of blood, interior bullet damage, bullet hole in the door) to be inspected by police. The driver didn't even return the calls to the police or the detective. StateFarm should have required that due to the type of accident this was.
Their negligence, aloud the shooter to get away with this. They did not cover any of my sons medical expenses, loss wages, NOTHING!
My wife and I live in town for 24 years we had been using a no name insurance company for twenty years with no problem. Our goal was to get a known name insurance company, unfortunately we picked the wrong one State Farm. Everything was fine till I had an accident they ended up totaling my car and when charged me increasing over the next year and a half Allstate saved me over 100.00 use them State Farm sucks
I don't think your advertising staff realizes the ad which features two people and the guy who says he will Never get married, never have children, never live in the suburbs, never own a minivan - and for all these "nevers' he does exactly what he said he'd never do. Following his track record, the last never is "never let you go" where he is sitting with his wife and two daughters on a couch; well since all his prior "nevers" to which he swore he would never do - he did each and every one! So what is that telling you about his last "never" to "never let you go"? Follow the pattern and you can assume he will in fact "let them go" eventually. Think about it advertising geniuses...
Had State Farm For around 40 I believe it was my first claim I turned in I was treated terrible. I turned them into the Attorney Generals office etc. That just made them mad. I had to Go on high blood pressure meds. What I have read about them Delay deny and defend its true. I really was happy with State Farm till I put in a claim.
6:30 AM on 11/27/22 my daughter was in an accident where she saw the other car driving erratically and increasing speed on a dead end road, so she pulled aside and stopped her car. The other car continued almost as if aiming for her car. The other driver admitted to staying out all night and falling asleep at the wheel so clearly admitted fault.
My daughter hit her face on the dash and will now have a permanent scar on her face. Horrible!
Unfortunately, she has the same insurance "State Farm" so State Farm is running all my daughters claim thru my insurance. This is wrong. Deductible out of pocket? They are clearly low balling the car as well even after I've submitted 100 receipts of car parts we added to the car when we rebuilt the engine to enhance the value as a high-performance engine.
So now she's out her car and permanent scar, and they want to low ball me and short me by 5K on the car.
I'm really at my wits end with the fact that they are running the claim $#*! backwards.
They will never do anything for your car! Your agent will ignore you and write to you whenever he feels like it! For towing you'll have to wait 12 hours! They never put a supervisor when asked to speak to one. They hang up on your face! Poor communication! They don't care to give you any status of your roadside assistance! On top of that raise your monthly payments whenever they feel like it without notice! This is the most trash insurance company you'll ever get! I'm contacting the news tomorrow because I am going to warn people about this State Farm scamming insurance company. I called them for towing at 5:42 pm now they are telling me my car will get at 6am the next day

What a crappy company. I've been with State Farm for 3 years and my driving record is clean, my car is getting older and I've no tickets.
Yet this company has the audacity to raise my insurance by $26 a year. Surely the older the car gets and the cleaner your record wouldn't you have thought that one's insurance would be less. Am I missing the point here?
Tip for consumers:
Another company that treats you like a piece of garbage the longer that you stay with them.

After a devastating barn fire which spread to my home... State Farm has been better than "a good neighbor"! My adjuster, Jennifer, is stellar in understanding my loss and works majic getting things going. Always answers my calls expediently, very knowledgeable and explains things in general terms. Couldnt be happier despite it all.
So a month ago my son was driving home in the dark and ran over someone's muffler that was laying in the middle of the road and punctured a hose. We towed it to a garage filed a claim and Statefarm had it towed to one of their facilities to have it looked at or so we thought.
The tow truck driver they hired caused significant damage ripping the bumper off and so they wanted to total the car when they caused most of the damage.
Well then they said we could have it looked at by anyone we wanted and get an estimate from them so they towed it and this time the tow truck punctured his door.
Now we find out my son only caused 1,100 worth of damage and the 2 different tow trucks caused between 7 -8 thousand dollars worth of damage. They're getting a third estimate and won't give us a rental. We've gotten told sorry this shouldn't of happened but that doesn't help anyone.
I was parked well off the road. A driver who knew he was having "rolling blackouts" was driving at high speed on the wrong side of the road. He sliced off the whole side of my car. There was a witness. My insurer, State Farm, did not even try to get compensation for me from this criminal driver. Instead, they lied to me repeatedly and awarded me only $1700, which they claimed was the value of my car. Then, unknown to me, they declared my car "salvage." I was unable to repair or replace my car. DMV refuses to register it without elaborate repairs and inspections. Cops are threatening to tow me. Because of this I may go completely belly-up and have to live as a "Bag Lady." I am urging everyone: do not ever give insurance companies a nickel more than required. Over the years State Farm received roughly 20k on this policy. And now what I am doing is holding the sack!

My family was canceled by State Farm. We had a few accidents. Two at fault and one not at fault. At the time my stepdaughter had her accident, she didn't reside with us. I've had State Farm since my first car in 1985. My wife had them for 24 years. We had a bit of bad luck, and the underwriters canceled us. Years of a clean record and on time payments only to be put out like trash. I guess longevity doesn't mean anything with this insurance company, nor empathy. I can understand if I hit them up with a claim every year. One would think they'd see if there's a pattern to accidents claimed over a period of time. Not a small time frame compared to the number of years a person has been good with them. They don't balance out. What a shame.
I HATE giving a star at all... they can't even explain their bill Rude, got hung up on 3 times, they have no care for customer service or support. How they going to send my info to penndot stating I had no insurance but try to bill me for the same month! WTF
They call they leave a number and you call and leave your number multiple times and get no replies you call you agent he says he will get to the bottom of it and still no answers your home owners policy is worthless, after a month still no calls Alexis claims adjuster must get paid for doing nothing if another month goes by I will pot her whole name on.
I stuck with State Farm and State Farm - Brian G. Youmans Insurance Agency Inc. for 25 years. I asked him multiple times to go to bat for me. He refused, over and over. I have been fighting with them for over a year. Now, I have to pay 7 thousand dollars to fix my hail damaged roof. This is a legitimate claim. State Farm makes it impossible to speak to someone that can make a decision. They will not call you back. Don't make the same mistake I did, leave State Farm NOW! State Farm wants me and the contractors to ignore multiple MN codes.

I have had three claim from 1980-2020 first had to do repair on my own them had to hire lawyer to get them to pay. Second claim hired a structural engineer to make them pay. Third car damaged when parked at grocery store claims were not helpful in helping the made me pay high deductable even the body shop commented it was too high in price of deductable said it was an accident. Would not classify as uninsured motorist as it would be half the amount of my deductable. State farm has low rates but if you have a claim they want to pay the least possible to the client. It's there business plan. Don't be lured in by low rates. You will have to fight them to pay your claim.
This was a while back but I have a friend who recently had problems. Because of State Farm my insurance went up so high that I couldn't afford it, after of course they dropped me after one accident. Then called me to tell me that I would be culpable for a portion of what the woman was owed. They didn't fight for me at all. I hired a lawyer independently, told them that the woman had a walker in her car. I only got the ticket because I yelled at the cop for not listening to me. My car was completely sideswiped, the evidence that I was already on the road when this woman hit me was so frustratingly obvious. I won my case, the woman only got her liability covered. It was discovered that she had tons of preexisting conditions. State Farm did nothing for me, aside from take my monthly payments, and screw me when I really needed them. I've had tons of insurance companies since, all better than them.
I waited from 7:30pm to approximately 3:30am for a tow. This is the second time this occurred. I am in the process of cancelling my insurance. During these difficult times we must continue to hold people accountable for their actions as well as the representative of their company. I will not continue to pay for a service at a company where I don't feel respected.
Very crappy insurance, not helpful and would say you are not paying enough here and there. When theres trouble they would always look for excuse, oh no you are not under this or that... Not very helpful neighborhood
