STAT/AMERISHIP, is a 'pharmaceutical ' delivery organization, domiciled in Texas, serving bordering states as well. The company routinely hires 'contractors' to make pharmacy and many other delivery parcels (clothing, vape and other controlled and regulated substances) to area residential and business. STAT, requires that each 'contractor' follow its rules and procedures, wear its uniform, install and use its ever-changing driver application and answer to its managers. One cannot distinguish the employee/contractor relationship. The scam begins with an unconscionable contract, whereas the company expects waivers for work comp, that the employee/contractor carry it/his or her own insurance and to allow deductions in payments for forced placed insurance, payroll processing and other made up fees. The deductions amount to just over $200 monthly. Imagine, being labeled a contractor with zero sutomomy, on the clock with no way to seek compensation if their negligence causes injury. The forced placed cargo insurance is a scam because a policy is taken out in the name of the contractor, naming STAT, as the sole beneficiary. The next part of the scam is to get the contractor to agree to a flat rate pay, say, $150 daily. There is no compensation for furl, mileage, wear and tear, as the vehicle is the private auto of the contractor/employee. The company has an unlimited delivery requirement. If the employee/contractor is assigned 10-110 deliveries in a day, there is no additional compensation under any circumstances. The employees expenses meanwhile in fuel alone, double and triple om any given day, without compensation. Yet another part of the scam is that the contractor must accept and never reject any delivery for any reason and if there is any disagreement, the contractor/employee pay is withheld or deducted. Once they played this game with the writer of this review, we under the UCC and Texas law, impounded their deliveries. They screamed and yelled, withheld payments and even called the Police in several jurisdictions, withholding from the Police that the relationship was not employee/employer, but operator and services were by contract. They tried to press charges for 'theft" and ended up looking like fools angering both the Sheriffs office and McAllen Police. Ultimately, they paid what we'd demanded, the drug portion was sent in advance to the shipper, not to STAT, so that there would never be a question of what was missing, (the medications are important to recopients and it isn't their fault that STAT, ended up scamming its drivers, so ethically, we decided to not withhold the medical portions of the deliveries) lies & misinformation. It was also important that their shipper be made aware of how they conduct business and that they, the shipper, may also be liable. We notified their original shippers, we did not withhold medicines, they were sent in advance back to shipper at our expense, even though STAT had threatened and was withholding compensation. The company is unethical and has injured countless, unsuspecting delivery personnel. The greed and fraud runs rampid. I would not advise or recommend anyone even consider either using or delivering for Ameriship/STAT.
Tip for consumers:
Operates throuought Yexas, threatens violence, threatens law actions, is untruthful and unethical.
