First of all they steal from customers by saying they can not return money and they they hang up. They employees not speaking Englesh and not allowed to help juts to create the illusions they will do and most rude ever. This company and service will disappear soon. I went with the police to Walmart to get my money back because they said it's company policies to not give you money back. $#*! on sale and then you realized you got scammed at Walmart. The most $#*!ty company that need to disappear.
We had auto refill on the phone. We canceled one phone then put it on a different phone. This is my sons phone. I did not realize he was paying with his credit card I pay the other credit card We continued to get charged for the phone that was canceled When I put a dispute and a block on the card the payment was sent through because the price was changed a few cents. I was told yes companies do this We thought canceled or block would stop the charges. Any phone company can see if you have used their service The canceled phone clearly wasn't used until my son thought he was using hotspot His boss told him this phone is on. He uses hotspot for his job once a day Because this is wrong I will be looking for a different company for the phone he is using when a company keeps telling you they don't see that you are being charged then changes a price when you put a block on them so they can continue to charge you this is so dishonest As I see it it is theft
The only way to fight these corporate thieves is to file complaints with the FCC and BBB. More important we must request an investigation into the company and make our issues heard. Straight Talk is not reputable I've had similar issues with AT&T but at least at&t had a smidge better customer service. I'm now looking to dump straight talk but I'm not leaving without causing them some trouble
I Bought the 2nd line plan as my wife and i have been using StraightTalk for well over 5 years. In Sept 2023 I purchased the two line option. I was unable to load the plan on the 2nd line. I called the help line three times. Three times they said they would fix the problem, they didnt. I wrote a letter to the address provided by straight talk. As of three months later, my request has not been honored and the money I spent for the 2nd line has thus far been for naught. Based on my experience I recommend staying away from the more complicated transactions with Straight Talk.
I have been a customer with these people over 5years. I never really had a serious issue until now. Starting July 2022, I went on a trip and I couldn't use my gps, my phone wasn't working or anything. I called straight talk over 10 times about the issue and they couldn't do anything. Here it is the end of September and I'm still having the same issue. I've called these folk over 50 times since July literally and they seem to not give a care in the world. I'm officially switching service's because I'm wasting money paying for 4 phone that we can barely use. I also asked to speak to a supervisor and they all tell me they can't transfer me to one. DO NOT deal with these people. They are a ripoff and need to be out of service.
For someone on a budget Straight Talk is a decent option, Verizon and contract companies are overpriced even their prepaid plans are out to compete with Straight Talk, when I went to my local mall and visited Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile they all claim to price match any company no matter what, when they ask what carrier I currently have I said straight talk they just smiled they couldn't price match it. My experience with straight talk is good, There customer service to transfer my service from my Samsung Galaxy s8 to galaxy s9+ was simple as soon as I received my sim card in the mail, i contacted them via online chat and they handled it quickly. And my phone was up and operational within minutes. My LTE so far is fast and video runs smoothly. If you have an issue with calling them use their online chat.
My son phone wasn't suppose to go off till February but it went off in January the lady I talked to on the phone was no help at all... So I had to repay my baby bill but I think I'm finna change them to another phone company
My 90 year old mother had a hellish time trying to resolve her not getting calls on her phone. She called for almost two month and every time she called they reverified all the info and issues and nothing was resolved. She switched to Consumer Cellular and NO ISSUES!
I purchased data and can't use it for my work! There's no upgrade available, they just want me to buy a new plan. I can't find "hotspot prohibited" anywhere on the documentation. That's idiotic.
Customer service is horrible. They are rude and has no knowledge on how to help customers. I was with straight talk for 12 years I am so happy to leave them behind
Don't waste your time with straight Talk. Go to any other service but this... horrible customer service if you can even get someone in the line within an hour. Service is spotty.
You should not be able to call the company like 6 times in a month or two because of the data or the phone itself. Like I called about my shipping because it was a defective phone, and I call them saying "hey my phone isn't working like the way it's suppose to" they be asking me for my email adress and I give them they send a form of what to do THE EMAIL THEY SENT DIDN'T EVEN WORK. So I called them again saying hey the email didn't work. At the point I called them and they said " Oh yeah we have to send you the box". Like dude I have it in a box and tapted up and all that. So, I had to Untaped the whole thing and wait for almost a WHOLE month for the thing to come. It's just to frustrating to deal with. 👎
I bought a phone from straight talk had it two months and the screen would not work at all called them and got three diffrent stories and a run around was told they were email a airbill never did then said they were mailing it never did was told i could go to the nearest ups store and turn it in and they would have a replacement there and that was a lie and they wont let you talk to someone higher up cause they know all there doing is lieing to you
I have been lied too, hung up on, still waiting for my phone service to start. I am sending a letter to the company president and hope that will help.
As a long time Straight Talk customer I am posting this to let everyone know that the company is NOT what it used to be. Yesterday my phone service was cut off, supposedly because my card didn't have the correct expiration date, which is BS because it did, and I didn't receive a notice that it was expiring either. So now, because I had to enroll in a NEW version of Autorefill I'm paying $5 more per month than I was. It looks to me like they deliberately conned me, and to make matters worse once I logged into my account I had to talk to a CHAT BOT to try to get it back on, and couldn't because the bot didn't understand what I was saying. Is this quality customer service? Not on your life. The person I was able to chat with (who never even told me his or her name) finally got my service back on, but as I said it's at a higher rate. So bottom line for me is that I'm going elsewhere.

I bought a $90 card with 2 lines and didn't use the 2nd line fast enough. They said I had to use it within 7 days. So I just lost $50. That's called stealing.
Horrible! 2 hours on hold only to be able to hear everyone talking in the back ground and no response from the call taker! When I started saying hello the phone goes blank but the line is still open!
My son had just cancelled his Straight Talk service, of which I was unaware. I thought he'd forgotten to pay it. Since I was unable to reach him, I called the automated svc line & paid $50 for an add'l month. Once I became aware of the cancellation, I called their Refunds Dept to request my Refund & THEY REFUSED to issue it, even though my payment was made in ERROR. That's called THEFT! THANK YOU WALMART! I WILL NEVER, EVER RECOMMEND SUCH THIEVES TO ANYONE!
Do not purchase an iPhone through them. They make it look like you do not have to use their service, but you do! I have been waiting 2 months for my refund after returning my phone! I just spent 30 minutes with customer service trying to find out why I had not received my refund yet, only to get a ticket number. I am suppose be receiving my refund within 48 hours. I will post some additional comments if I dont!

Answer: Cheaper than ATT for a landline. I never thought of the problems I am having trying to get service started. I don't know how they stay in business considering the gift fact that Verizon owns them.
Answer: I've been pretty consistently able to get a hold of them. As far as them being helpful not at all.
