Very easy to book! I even had to change the airport I flew out of and it was a quick 15 min phone call to get it sorted. The agent was extremely kind and helpful.
The site is easy to manage and navigate, and it really is the best option out there for reasonable flights.
The extra pricing for specific seats meant I spent more than I thought I would. I did not appreciate the price increasing by almost $100 due to hidden extra payments.

-Booked tickets no worries.
-Then covid hits and couldn't fly out, was told by them they keep the credit for future travel and that I had 12 months to rebook. I ASKED for a confirmation email which I never recieved.
- called them later on before the end date and once again they confirmed credit is there not worry, again I Asked for confirmation email which never recieved.
-called them a month later only for them to tell me the credit is lost now. What a piece of $#*!s!
I didn't learn the first time so I went with them again, Booked new tickets but they made a typo in the name, called to correct it and said no worries that would be 30 bucks, a day later I get an email that they now want to make a new booking and for me to pay the difference of 300 dollars as the airfare is more expensive now. What a load of $#*!.

I've heard and read a ton of horror stories about student universe which initially had me quite nervous, but my study abroad program offered me a flight voucher that could only be used through them so I had no choice. After booking my flight through studentuniverse, I received 2 confirmation emails but I didn't hear anything after that. The one thing I would suggest is making sure your ticket is validated with the airline via your respective airline website. For me, I flew united, so i was able to check through the website & app on my phone. Once you see "place confirmed" or something of the sort, you're officially in the clear. But overall, I had no problems. After your ticket is confirmed, everything else can be done via your airline (changing seats, requesting a meal, viewing capacity, paying for baggage/additional baggage & etc). Flights both to & from Paris went smoothly. Thanks studentuniverse and CEA-CAPA for providing that flight voucher. Saved nearly $1,000+ on a roundtrip non-stop flight ticket.

Different airlines publish different types of fares; for instance, basic econ class does not allow change/cancellation. Other types may allow change/cancel for a fee. Therefore, we suggest our customers double check the information we present in order to select the type desired. Took me three attempts to buy tickets, but after that the process was good. I just don't know what it means when the website said "The airline couldn't confirm the flight."
I'm not sure of the total was supposed to be but it wasn't $50, ended up being closer to $150. Not really mad about it though as it's still cheaper than regular last minute flights.
Every time I refreshed the website flights would disappear it would never have the same flights which made it difficult if I was looking for something specific

Our fare update comes from the airline itself that is why our system checks for the current ticket price when you hit "select". Please note that prices are dynamic and may fluctuate in accordance with airline inventory. Purchasing flights online are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We cannot guarantee the fares and seats unless they are charged and ticketed.

For my very first international experience, Student Universe made my travel planning easy because at first I didn't know how to book a flight because I had never flown before, but after having the best travel and study abroad experience in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I'd definitely book another flight using Student Universe. I was so grateful to have gotten a birthday discount on the purchase of my flight the day I booked it, which was on my birthday.
I had booked a Basic Economy flight on American Airlines a few days before the Coronavirus pandemic struck the US. A couple of days before flying, things got very chaotic and flight policies were changing by the day. I tried to contact American Airlines directly but they were completely unreachable. I then tried to contact StudentUniverse and although I wasn't able to reach them by phone, I left a message on Facebook Messenger that I wanted to cancel the flight.
Eventually, 5 days *after* the day of my flight (by which point I had almost given up hopes of receiving even a partial refund), Studentuniverse contacted me on Facebook to let me know that I have a travel credit for the entire amount available with them (that I can book any time before Dec 31 2020). I am really impressed with the dedication of the Studentuniverse team since they have been able to resolve customers' problems even during these difficult times!
