As a former employee, I would not trust this company for quality food. All meats come pre-sliced and frozen and are thawed 2 days before use. Bread is overproofed and baked anyway, resulting in flat, deflated loaves. Cheese comes in presliced packages as well as the wilting lettuce. "Black Forest Ham" is really just plain ham; this is basically a false advertisement - real Black Forest Ham comes from the Black Forest region of Germany. The tomatoes at both Subways I have worked at usually arrive rotten and soft if not close to decay.
In addition, employees are overworked and often work alone, resulting in longer wait times and poor service.
I personally refuse to step foot inside a Subway restaurant, but I wouldn't mind being banned. Subway's Human Resources department made the call to fire me for scratching the snow off of a *snow-covered license plate (It's illegal to have a covered plate).*
In my brutally honest opinion, Subway does not value its customers or its employees and is just another corporation out to make money and cheap food. Do yourself a favor and go to Jimmy John's, Quiznos or Firehouse. Anywhere but here.

Tip for consumers:
Try Jimmy John's. You may not be able to super-customize your 8" sub, but meats and cheese are sliced daily and veggies are always fresh.

I ordered a melt from the Spring Arbor Rd, Mi store. Apparently on half of my sandwich they felt I didn't need bread(1:13 pm on August 26,2022).

It is so disappointing to go to subway anymore,I remember when they had stamps and boom quick redemption.Now they show ad after ad about bogo.Look subway yer customers are not dumbasses.You show bogo forever,now have event to buy several sandwiches and now it's conveniently not available. Bogo is buy one get one,but with you it's what day it is.I can't tell you how many times I have walked out and left food behind.Went into local wally and you had buy 2 get one free.They made my sands up and said$25,no I said it's buy 2 get third free.Oh we don't know nothing bout dat,the said.Instead of honoring the commercial they let me walk in wally and I bought 3 subs brought home and loaded up and boom 3 sands loaded at home for$15 way to go Wally.Quit jerking peoples $#*! or promising to and then change yer mind and the rules.You better stop this crap or people will count on you to being liars and bait andswitchers and yer parking lot will be where you can land a chopper.All yer customers are not all fools,one day you are going to need some integrity.My friends have exsperienced the same thing and just walked out,yer staff doesn't offer a solution and yer app is hit and miss.You better get a truthful program or folks are not going to patronize a hit and miss.I am astounded yer staff has no clue to specials,commercials,or making a bad situation better.Myself and others walk out of yer restaurant planning on eating there or food purchase and leaving empty handed and bewidered!

Placed online order. Veggie sub only allowed one cheese selection. Called store, requested all cheeses and they denied request. Told me I had to make another order. Asked to place that other order. Told me they were too busy to take order. I asked what their name was. They hung up. Had my daughter call back to make sure they cancelled my order because my app said that I picked it up. They said yes. Two to three days to see the money back.My daughter asked their name and their managers name and they hung up on is a second time. For fifteen minutes oir drive all the way to that store they just wouldn't answer their phone. Completely ignoring us all together. We get there and there's at least three employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. Lobby empty and no customers there eating. I took a video of the rude and disrespectful person running the show. Guy with the pink hair. Very snappy. Seemed.to be a controlling individual. I asked why he did what he did. Hang up on customers and then ignore them completely all together. He then stayed I was rude and disrespectful. He and I both know I wasn't but I'm sure the other people only know what he's stating aloud. So after i questioned him and he claims to have cancelled my order that my app says I picked up I then requested to place an order. I was told no and that they reserve the right to refuse service to anybody. I know this is true so i just turn and walk away. Through our entire conversation he refused to tell me his name or his managers name. This was absolutely the worst customer Service i have ever come across at any Subway. The way they were all just openly hanging out, the way pink hair lied and said i was rude and disrespectful over the phone, the way pink hair lied and said he was too busy to take my order he said i had to place to get a sub how I wanted and worst of all how he continuously hung up on me and my daughter and then completely ignoring the phone all together. This person does not belong as a lead or dealing with customers on a professional level

Avoid this Subway all together.

Never coming back to the Subway on Standiford/McHenry (or possibly not any Subway at this point, they're all stingy on meat portions, bread is smaller and prices higher). The manager at this particular Subway, who is hard to understand between her thick accent and plexiglass wall/mask made me wait through a few customers because the gift card SHE gave me two days before didn't work, she also refused to take a coupon she said expired (most fast food places still take those) I said for the trouble of making me wait she should at least take the coupon and she refused so I asked for my money back on the gift card she messed up and told her I'm not coming back. I also couldn't help but notice she is hiring people of her ethnicity... same as Pollo L0co... preferential racial hiring shouldn't be allowed especially with fast food chains; does Affirmative Action only apply to white business owners? **The comment from a few people about the same manager yelling at a Latina employee (no longer there) several months back I also witnessed. Apparently she is only hiring people of Indian descent now. She should be reported to the BBB.

I ordered online. My meats were placed by a server with orange hair but the remaining part of my order was done by a VERY RUDE skinny girl with green hair. She did not acknowledge me just started literally tossing ingredients on my order. I asked if she was alright. I asked for her name after pointing out a heaped glob of mustard when I indicated "less" when ordering. She did nothing to try to fix this error ( not even apologize) just continued throwing things onto the sub. As for responding when I asked for her name she said "ain't got to tell you nothing". I asked the other server she said she didn't know she just works with her. As the green hair girl was wrapping my subs she one handedly gave no support. Ingredient were falling out… bread was tearing up… customers behind me commenting about how "young people want pay but don't want to work" and how sloppy it was. I asked for a bowl to put the sub into because it was more of a salad by that point! She got mad and says "I didn't ask you to put all that stuff on there. That ain't my fault" I called the police for a report. The police suggested getting a refund. When I asked for the refund, the green haired girl initially stated she wasn't doing it. The orange haired girl said she didn't know how. I suggested calling someone to find out. The green haired girl then came over and said I know how to do it. She asked for my receipt (which I took pictures of prior to giving her). She opened the register and gave me money. I never signed anything to indicate a refund. My order number is D5DF4B52-96.
This was the absolute WORST EXAMPLE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN.

First time going to this particular Subway's & I can't say anything good about their service or food. The person who waited on me was frustrated that I didn't go to the correct side of the line, though there was no sign indicating where I was to go, but after she corrected me, I could see she was busy training someone (this trainer could use some serious training of her own). I ordered a large 'hot italian'. The 'hot was sliced pepperoni (no capicola here, also no mortadella). I had said a large but she heard a small & started to put the deli meat on the half until I told her large and she went and grabbed the other half she cut and used both (no class). Also her idea of toasting a sub is putting it under a light and having the cheese melt (that's not toasting anything). I ate it home and there was something in there that just wasn't fresh-- maybe the lettuces or tomatoes, I don't know but I ended up feeding my trash can with most of it. This Subway's won't do well if it's not already obvious. The 'trainer' needs help, someone trained her poorly and she's training others to be just like her, and that includes leaving food out that is not kept fresh or replenished. I'll never go in there again. I also hope I don't get sick later from eating some of that God-forsaken sub she made for me. I used to love going to a Subway's--- elsewhere--- but since I moved here I have been trying to find places I can feel comfortable about going to whenever I want to grab a bite to eat after a long day out. This Subway's will never be my choice-- ever again! I deserve to get great customer service and even greater food that I entrust someone to fix for me. There are other nicer, courteous and better tasting sub shops around this neighborhood-- don't waste your time or money here!

Avoid eating at this Subway. You deserve better service and fresh food!

DO NOT ORDER! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR $$$ & NOT GIVE YOU FOOD. This is twice now. My stupidity for thinking the first time was a fluke. I ordered online without issue. The money was taken out of my bank. I get there and they don't have the order they say. I show them on the app where I placed the order and that it was pending. They didn't care. Actual words were 'NOT MY PROBLEM'. Went to my account to show them the store number listed with the transaction. Just to find that they had taken the $$$ out twice. Still, not there problem. They told me to cancel it on the app. There is no place to do so.

I ask for the phone number to corporate and the district manager who was in store told me they do not have one. I ask him who he called when he had to speak with someone in corporate. He doesn't ever call them he says. Refused to refund me or make my order.

I immediately found corporate customer care # online. I did get a msg that they are moving customer care to online but I hit zero to transfer to an operator. Not much help.

The Customer Care Associate said it is up to each store whether to makey order or give me a refund. I explained how rude and that they would not. Her only solution was for me to go through my bank to dispute the transaction. In the last 30 years until Subway I have had to dispute one transaction. Now in just a couple of weeks I have had to dispute 4. I only ordered twice but was charged double both times.

I mean The store doesn't have much going for it anyway. With the exception of being in front of Walmart. It's nasty half the time, the tables the bathroom. That's why I don't need in the store. The workers were childish and very impressional in the way they acted in front of customers the few times I was in there before. But I don't have to deal with that if I ordered online. But they are thieves and I am sick of this contacting the better Business bureau and I won't stop.

If you want Subway here in Elizabethtown, go to the one that is it located at 809 East Dixie or the one that's on mulberry Street. Do not go to the one in front of Walmart.

I love Subway but this was the most horrible order I've ever obtained at any Subway from anywhere. I've been buying from Subway since they opened their doors in 1969, when my youngest child was born, and in several different states, including Alabama, California, Illinois, Iowa, and now Georgia, and I've always loved their salads, so fresh and tasty, including and that's saying a lot! My son is now in his fifties and a chef cook who does not complain about other people's cooking because he says there are always extenuating circumstances that could prevent something from being exactly the way you intended.

But here recently, I've noticed a very marked change in the way the sandwiches are less than what is advertised, especially the tuna sandwich. When you see the Subway ad it shows a delicious looking tuna sandwich with real tuna showing atop the veggies. I tried one the other day. I ordered Ordered for pickup two footlongs and requested the advertised price of buy one get one half price, but had no code or other way to indicate the special price on the order. So, I asked when I picked it up. Cashier told me there was nothing he could do because order was already paid. I asked him can't they do a refund for the overcharge but his answer was a flat NO! I told the cashier while I was in the store that I will never order from them again.

But this review is not just about the treatment by the clerk but about the order itself. Two sandwiches cost $25 plus tax because double meat was requested on the meat sandwich, with added bacon, and and extra veggies but only one serving of meat was given and barely any veggies even though extra meat was paid for! Extra veggies were asked for on both the meat and the tuna sandwich but nothing extra was added to the sandwiches at all! Hardly any lettuce or onion on either sandwich. Requested no cutting but both sandwiches were cut in half. The bread old and the top was crumbling off. What lettuce was on my tuna sandwich was so little it was wilted just from being near the watery tuna tuna! I'd Requested no cutting but both sandwiches were cut in half. And my son even complained about the meat sandwich he bought. I was shocked.

Regarding the tuna: What I received was a far cry from what is advertised! The tuna looks like salmon, and it's smashed so into the bun that when you look at the sandwich you can't even tell what kind of sandwich it is unless you open it up and check under the veggies at the bottom where the tuna is smashed into the bread! I've included photos so you can see what I mean. And the taste? It's awful! It tastes like that cheap watered down tuna you can buy in the can, dressed up with vinegar and something other than mayo and any kind of veggies, egg or anything else! Thanks, but no thanks Subway. No more tuna sandwiches for me.
