My experience with the SupportBuddy tech support has been great. The HP printer that was giving me some or the other kind of issue for the last three months started working absolutely fine in just one call.
Terrible "company"they try to get you to pay extra for services you dont need or really want i lost over 1000$ with them when they said they would refund my money and it all looked very good the numbers were there and just poof gone
I received a phone call this evening. The Indians said they were from SupportBuddy. They mentioned they had received $299.99 from me a few years back. Because they were moving from the United States to Europe, they were required to reimburse me for the $299.99 I gave them a few years ago. I kept questioning them. They went into their bogus bank account... a Chase.com one and showed me a bogus name on account with so much money in it. They asked me repeatedly if I had a Paypal account. I said that I did. They wanted me to accept a payback of $1,000, but I must promise to only keep $300 and sent them $700 back. I said that didn't sound right. They had been questioned by me over and over and over again. Once I questioned their $1000 payback where I would have to reimburse them $700... they got the idea and hung up. I hope when they had access to my computer and darkened my screen that they did not put a virus on my computer or steal any of my information. I do know they had some really crazy ideas and the way they handled things was bizarre. They most definitely were not legitimate. Beware... they are persistent. I think God that I had many red flags and questioned them so much. Sure, I would love to have $299.99 reimbursed to my account but I did not want to lose more than that from some other account. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Gotcha!
No one can support like support buddy. I am saying this because of my experience with Support buddy. They are ready to support 24 hours for any kind of technical issue.
I received a message on my screen that said that I needed to call Microsoft and when I did an Indian guy of some sort said that I needed to pay $199 and that was on April 15,2016 and and then on May 2,2016 I received another pop up message saying that I needed to contact Microsoft again and I paid $299 so finally I thought about it and I called Microsoft directly and I also looked up the The website support buddy reviews and noticed that it was a scam and I asked Microsoft and they said they they do not put up pop up messages saying that the individual is blocked from using their laptop or desktop device. So I called my bank to block the two transactions and the second message that said that I needed to pay $299 said that the first message was a false. The phone number is *******775, *******379, *******467, and *******391 be aware!
I, unfortunately and ashamedly, was taken in by this SupportBuddy for $300.00. They locked up my computer and the tech guy claimed to have cleared up some awful virus called "Koobface". Afterwards I checked a few review sites and found out about their scamming. I called them to stop their 'service' just to have someone on the phone with me for almost an hour extolling their legitimacy. When I insisted on my money back I was transferred to the billing dept, told I would get my refund in 10 days and was given an refund ID number. After waiting several days I called again to check on my refund. I gave the ID number I was given, which suddenly there was no record of. They asked for my customer ID and suddenly again, no record of it as well. I gave my name and as you can guess, no record. After having somewhat of a yellfest, now they found my account. My refund "has just been sent off, and will take 10 days". DON'T FALL FOR SUPPORT BUDDY, WHATEVER YOU DO!
ANYONE WHO DOESN'T RECOGNISE THIS SCUMBAG COMPANY FOR WHAT they are IS NUTS. THEY ARE COMPLETE AND TOTAL SCAM ARTISTS. YES, THEY MAY HAVE CLEARED YOUR COMPUTER OF A VIRUS-A VIRUS THAT THEY GAVE YOU! And by the way-they now have your credit card info! Close out the credit card account info that you gave them and grow a brain. THEY ARE IN NO WAY RELATED TO APPLE OR MCINTOSH.
My computer was updated automatically from windows 7 to windows 10.2 days later as I am still learning the new system I was going to a well known site by typing in the address when suddenly the while screen is taken over warning me that a serious malware had invaded my computer, If I open another browser or shut own the computer, I risked losing all my data and I should call a number. I did and I got a technician from Support Buddy. I spent 30 minutes trying to verify who they were and whether they could be trusted. I learned that I would have to pay at least $179 for them to fix computer one time. That was ridicules. I had Norton protection and never had a problem for over 5 years. I said I would call back. Using my laptop I investigated Support Brother and found this site. 22 #5 ratings, but 12 #1 calling them a scam. That is what I was thinking. I restarted my computer. No problem. I ran a quick Norton scan and found no problem. I then ran the full Norton scan and it turn up and isolated 3 high risk problems. I don't know how Support Brother had access to my computer, if it was through Microsoft or if they were involved with the risk files. It was scary and cost me several hours of downtime. But in the end I didn't need their repair and my Norton handled any problems that existed or had inspired the scary warning from Support Brother. All in all, I think it was a scary scam that prays on people fears of data loss to take their money. But you be the judge! My mom allowed them access to her computer, they immediately hacked her bank account and transferred $50K from her savings to her checking all while remotely working on her computer so she was told not to access the internet (to see what was going on with her bank.) Then they told her they were refunding her money as the company was going out of business but accidentally transferred her $50k instead of $200. Then begged her to go to the bank and wire the money back to them so they poor $#*! wouldnt get fired. She did all the while not realizing that the money was hers from her savings account which was only randomly there because she had recently sold a house and the proceeds had not yet been invested.
This company is MAJOR LEVEL FRAUD and Identity theft. FBI level.

Has been the worst experience ever of my life so far! Instead to fix my computer they have deleted all my data on my computer deleting the drivers... my computer do not recognize anymore my hardrive... I am not able to work anymore on my computer. As business owner is the most frustrating thing ever could happen... And they have told me that is not their responsibility... When it was the technician responsibility... i can't believe!... They had access to my laptop for 15 hours (3 calls x 5 hours each) and did not fix the problem. I asked for my money back which they refunded. NOW THEY WON'T STOP CALLING ME! I ask them each time they call to PLEASE stop calling me since I got a refund and now THEY CALL ME 3x A DAY, LAUGH AND HANG UP.

This is a scam. I found a notice on my computer saying my system was compromised and to contact them right away and to NOT ignore the notice. Stupid me. I called them at *******064. I spoke to a man who told me I was a "nice lady" but that my computer was totally compromised. He told me my credit cards had been used (even though the log he showed me did not have any of my credit card #'s - thank goodness!). He also said there were some pornography sites that had invaded my computer. He said it was a ZEUS virus and started to give me the sales pitch. I called STAPLES tech. Service on my other phone. The technician told me to disconnect from Support Buddy immediately and to bring my computer in to the store, which I did. $170. Later it was back to normal. I called Support Buddy and told them they totally screwed me up. I spoke to "Michael" who told me (his words, not mine), "If you call and speak to someone with a foreign accent you are being scammed - if you hear an American accent, you are not." I told him this was racial profiling and shame on him. He said he was based in Boca Raton, FL and this was legitimate. He kept talking over me and finally hung up on me. RUN, DON'T WALK, AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

My mom used their services today 11/1/16 and low and behold they scammed her out of $569. Do not use this company they totally screwed up her computer and jacked money out of her acct!
I got a popup saying my computer was going to shut down and to call *******2246 to get it fixed. Later do i know someone was hacking my computer while i was on a phone call with them. They even turned on my camera. So i hung up and call again with the name of the agent i worked with only to find out he isnt an agent there. They told me to shut my computer off and he wont be able to work on it anymore. I am super pissed, i called again to speak with the manager and they wouldn't let me apparently if you haven't purchased anything from them you do not have the right to complain. They popped up on my pc I fell for it 450.00 later in September 2016. The other day got a phone call stating that the malware not working they will refund my money. I let them excess my pc. They told me to sign on my bank account then proceeded the refund. The put in 5299. 00 in they tell me oh no we put to much in. Well I told them take 5000. 00 back out. He said I can't I needed to go to Wal-Mart and that's where I stopped him. Then *******. 00 balance said 0. He said if you eant your money back you need to go to Wal-Mart stopped him again told him got my bank on my other phone. Didn't want to hold for bank drove there panicing. Ot was a ruse money still there. I Closed out my accounts. Well the $#*! locked my pc. I called support buddy told them what happened they said they needed access to my pc to unlock it

THIS WAS DEC 15. I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 10 OR MORE TIMES (IT IS NOW FEB 16.) I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CREDIT ON MY CREDIT CARD. THEY KEEP SAYING THEIR RECORDS SHOW THE REFUND AND THEY WANT ME TO PROVE BY SENDING THEM A COPY OF MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT, THAT I NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND. THEY KEEP SAYING THE FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT SENT THE REFUND. THEY CANNOT CHECK TO SEE WHERE THAT REFUND WENT. I NEVER GOT IT.
THEY HAVE STOLEN MY MONEY AND A LOT OF MY TIME. THEY ARE INCOMPETENT LIARS. I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND AND NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THEY WILL NOT DO ANY THING ELSE AND I WILL NOT GET MY REFUND.
