Target is my go-to retailer for its combination of affordability, convenience, and variety. Whether I'm shopping for groceries, household essentials, or clothing, Target consistently delivers quality products at reasonable prices. I appreciate the ease of shopping both in-store and online, as well as the frequent deals and promotions available to Target Circle members
I was an avid Target fan years ago when they sold brands that people actually liked and wanted to wear. Then for some reason, who ever they have as buyers lately, are totally missing the mark, esp on clothing. I never see anyone looking (or buying) their clothes these days. I only buy here for my 5% off w/Red card purchases on certain items. Have no idea if they can 'recoup' as they've been 'in the dumps' now for years imo.
I recently had recently had a stolen red card in city where I reside I stopped at Target to report stolen card and I was given a 800 number to call. After several attempts calling this number I was unsuccessful. I then I then looked up another customer service Target contact number. Once again I did not I was not able to reach a customer service representative for a stolen card. In fact what I was told by recording was to please enter the number on my stolen card. Since I did not have that information I was unable to contact anyone. This run around went on for 30 minutes as I was not given the opportunity to speak with anyone on my attempted phone calls to customer service. On my third attempt at contacting a person to speak with at Target customer service to report my red card stolen, I was able I was able to speak with someone regarding my stolen red card. Upon completion of my conversation regarding stolen red card I asked a customer service representative to speak with his supervisor immediately following our conversation. Needless to say I did not speak with anyone from Target regarding my situation as I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Please make customer service more customer-friendly in the future especially for those experiencing stolen cards.

I have not had problem buying in the Target store.BUT ONLINE ***DON"T buy. I bought three ONLINE orders from Target - three of the items I bought online from TARGET were sent by *OTHER" COMPANIES and were defective and Target said - "even though the merchandise was defective they would NOT issue a refund because Target had no control what the vendors on the TARGET web site send out and cannot issue a refund even though the merchandise was DEFECTIVE.
** THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW - PREVIOUS REVIEW WAS POSTED BEFORE BEING COMPLETED**

I have always loved target but I am done. First problem was I had returned and item by mail and didn't receive a refund after it was received. This is system glitch that had happened before. I talked to a very rude customer service rep. I asked them if they understood WMS and what I was talking about. He took it as an insult, cussed and me then my returned was denied a hour later. I am not finished with this issue and plan to take it further.
A few days ago I used my target circle money on an online order. Before it shipped I cancelled the item. I wrote a customer service rep and asked why the full amount of the reward was not used on the item left. He was nice and said the remainder would be in my account in 24 hours. It has been a bit longer so I wrote customer crevice again. I had screen shot the whole conversation and sent it to this rep. I also wrote her what had happened. She said no that it was my problem and a miscommunication. The screenshots show it was not a miscommunication. It is only $12.00 but I am over it. I known there is a shortage of finding people to work. Target is lucky because they have one last customer.

Made an attempt to use on line order. Notice an error in delivery address made several attempts to change through app guidelines, which did not work. Attempted to message, email and call customer service during business hour received no reply.
Target still processed my orders although I kept trying to flag my order in a span of fourty-five minutes and then informed me I couldn't cancel my order through the app any longer and would have to instead wait until my order is delivered to the wrongs address and the addressee send it back.
On top of this the customer service app (not an actual person) advised I contact the shipping company for my items that are all still in the target warehouse with no shipping tracker number. The shipping company has informed me that target has flagged my items where only they can change the address on their part, as I was willing to pay for a delivery change through the shipping company, but unfortunately I can't do that only Target can. Which makes frustratingly funny that they don't answer so I can rely that message
Not trying to be a nag, just wished to share my experience so that others can be weary when attempting to either order online or use customer service. :(
Tip for consumers:
Shop in store, inquire from actual guest services hopefully they will be much more capable of understanding and dealing with situations.

This company is overpriced and just plain expensive. The clothing shrinks and they rarely have sales. When they do have sales, the price is really the regular price. And I thought Walmart was bad.

If you have money to burn this is the site for you. If you want to order something and let them send you whatever they want too, this site is for you.

I came to the store at 5am revcieved a ticket for a hatchimal and was told they give out as many tickets as hatchimals. So it's pretty safe to say I have one right? NO! I get to the store at 1030 and they tell me they don't have enough anymore and they can't hold them all day for people. I'm sorry the store opened at 7am I didn't realize 3.5 hours was all day. Some peoplexamples work and have a life. I have never been so upset. What a joke and calling customer service is a waste of time because all they do is tell you they are sorry. They don't care because who cares if they lose 1 customer they have millions more, what a joke.

I tried to purchase a PlayStation gift card with a gift card but they said no, because you can't pay a PlayStation gift card with a gift card. How stupid is that.

In Canada we expected the same merchandise as in the US... Not!
We expected lower prices... Not!
And so we didn't shop there and that's why you are closing down stores in Canada.

There is slow delivery, high prices. But products are of great quality. Delivery often come late and prices are unnecessarily high. But I admire the good quality of the products

The prices rival walmart, but the store is neat and clean and the quality of stuff is by far better than walmart. I'd buy clothes at target, i'd rather go naked than buy clothes at walmart.
Date of experience: March 3, 2015
They are a little pricier than Walmart for some items to be almost the same quality, so I tend to shop at Walmart a little more. Even though I like Targets atmosphere better.

I just purchased two items from Target.com and was charged twice on my credit card, the same invoice number, but two different amounts. When I called about it, I was told "they didn't know why that happened, but I could dispute it with my credit card co." I asked to just credit my card as if I returned it, but was told they couldn't do that. Some credit department! JUST BEWARE TARGET MAY BE HAVING A CREDIT CARD PROBLEM AS BEFORE.

Went to Target on 4707 Pacific Ave, stockton found two pokemon box that was also on sale from gamestop.com and so I went to go check out at register and ask for price match, at first employee said they don't price match gamestop, which i told them that it's one of their store listed on there site that they price matched for. Waited for manger for 10 mins and a supervisor comes over and just scan the item and says that its not from target but a different supplier and that they can't do price match, which i said its in your store your target and you guys have the price matched guaranteed on ya website, still didnt get no price match no sorry or anything, told them i need corporate number and call them, talk to one of their representatives and he told me that I needed the actual recipet from gamestop to get the price match, its their policy. In my head I was like why the hell I'm asking for price match for if I already purchase from another store not helpful at all and $#*!ed $#*! policy

I like shopping at Target.com and also the retail store. Sometimes I go online to look at the products I want to buy and then go to the store to see it before I buy it!

I ordered a coat rack that's only available online. At the time I ordered it, i was given the option for free shipping if i had it shipped to a Target store near me instead of directly to my house. So, that's what i went with. Sounded easy enough. I received emails saying that it has shipped and i could track my order. When it said that it had been delivered, the Target store i had it shipped to said they never received it.
I called customer service for target.com and they said they'll ship another one. Same thing: said it was delivered to the store, but the store had no record of it. Called target.com AGAIN, and they said that they have no idea what happened or where the item is.
The nice customer service person at the actual store did her best to try to locate it, and she even called target.com to investigate. They told her some b. S. story about me putting in the wrong address. A total lie! The store's address came up in my order pre-filled in. But even if that was true, this still doesn't explain why the item is totally missing, and they can't even account for it. I double checked the address on my order with the address of the Target store, and they were the same correct address.
What a pain in the butt! They finally refunded me the price, but gave me a Target gift card online that i then had to go and mess around with in order for it to be used at a store.
Then they send me an email to review the item, but when i clicked on the link, it said it expired. So I couldn't even share my experience! Seriously, I expected way better from Target.

I have bought everything from a car to shoes on the internet and my latest purchase at target.com has been the worst experience by far. I give them 1 star, because the ease of finding items and purchasing them was acceptable by current standards. After the purchase, everything else has been a nightmare. They sent me the wrong items, and when I called customer service to get it corrected, the agents were only marginally fluent in English, and it was difficult to understand what they were saying. They told me I had to arrange for the return shipments, and that they would immediately ship the items I had originally ordered. This all only took about an hour of waiting on hold. They emailed me shipping labels, but when attempted to print, the function wasn't allowed and a message instructed me to contact the same customer service agents to resolve. On the shipping papers it said I could return the items at a Target store, so I took the items there to avoid the call in customer service, and the manager at the store spent an hour on the phone with the same customer service and after that I was told I couldn't return the items at the store, but that I would have to ship them back to target.com. I just found out yesterday, that they never sent me my original order as I had been told by customer service. Thank you target for taking my money, time, and patients. Clearly, customer service is not one of your priorities.

I was racially profiled and placed under surveillance by a black male loss prevention associate. This occurred at approximately 3:05-3:10 pm at the Target store located at the Crossroads shopping center in Cary, NC. Forcing black males to follow and harass black females is the new face of racial profiling in retail stores. This is a new trend with an old twist... divide and conquer. Retail stores manipulate their black workers because black people can't discriminate against black people, right? WRONG! Since these black workers are under the direction of white managers and executives, then yes, it is STILL racial profiling and discrimination against black shoppers. All I did was return an item at customer service. Afterwards, I walked into the ladies room and when I came out, there was a black man standing in the entryway to the store staring me down and watching me walk out of the store. Yes, I walked out with the Louis Vuitton handbag that was on my shoulder when I walked in and got into my 2017 BMW SUV, neither of which was stolen or acquired by any illegal means. And, I am a 50 year old homeowner in Cary. I am going to post this message over Instagram and my other social media platforms, as well as send it to the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network. What happened to Starbucks could very well happen to Target and probably should. I cannot be the only black person in Cary to have been treated by Target in this manner.

Taget is the same as walmart just with better products and wider selections. The food section is way smaller though. Target is a little bit more expensive then walmart too.
