Target has a rating of 2.3 stars from 1,739 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Target most frequently mention customer service, gift card, and online order problems. Target ranks 3rd among Department Store sites.
Target is my go-to retailer for its combination of affordability, convenience, and variety. Whether I'm shopping for groceries, household essentials, or clothing, Target consistently delivers quality products at reasonable prices. I appreciate the ease of shopping both in-store and online, as well as the frequent deals and promotions available to Target Circle members
I was an avid Target fan years ago when they sold brands that people actually liked and wanted to wear. Then for some reason, who ever they have as buyers lately, are totally missing the mark, esp on clothing. I never see anyone looking (or buying) their clothes these days. I only buy here for my 5% off w/Red card purchases on certain items. Have no idea if they can 'recoup' as they've been 'in the dumps' now for years imo.
Thinking of buying some of these (they look a bit expensive though) Nature Babycare Eco-Friendly Baby Diapers Case; anybody out there tried them please?

I have not ever had a less than perfect experience with Target & I have a redcard with them as well. I love the brands they carry and they are fast in delivery!

I gave target.com another chance recently, actually a few chances, and it was as different as night and day from what it was before. They sent the orders immediately and they arrived very fast, I think it was overnight after the day they were shipped. Unfortunately, I had to return the items, which were mostly clothes because they turned out to be different to what I thought I was ordering and also were the wrong size, but returning for the most part was super easy and free. I shop at target and took them with me and got immediate refunds. I only had one problem incident when some people didn't know how to do returns of rings and told me to return them to the manufacturer (as though I'd know who that was) because there weren't any barcodes on the rings and they clearly didn't believe I'd bought them from target. I didn't realise at the time that there was a return barcode on the receipt for them to use, but they should have known that. The only drawback to returns is having to take them to ups if you don't go to target. It's free for the shipping label, though, and since I happened to have ups coming to my house at just the right time, I got them to take that return with them, and once ups verified that they had the returned items, target emailed me that they were refunding my money.

Where do I begin? Although I like shopping in person at target, the experiences I have had buying from their website have never once gone smoothly. I have bought folding bar stools that were sent to me already broken or otherwise damaged, which had clearly already happened before they sent them to me, with a major hassle sending them back. I've bought a warranty for an mp3 player at the same time as an mp3 player which was faulty and had to be returned, and I never did get back the cost of the warranty for it. They wouldn't just refund it the way I paid for it online. They refused to do that. They wanted to put me through so much aggro and time-consuming inconvenience, sending all sorts of paperwork to them by snail mail, that it never got done. I think that was the goal they wanted to achieve. I ordered a futon that arrived with damage, and I had bought it on sale. They wouldn't just replace it. They will only give refunds. I was supposed to order it again if I wanted it, and I wasn't going to get the much better price that I'd paid when I got the damaged one. I bought some cushions on sale which got damaged en route by fedex and which were returned to target without anybody ever notifying me, and if I hadn't been following the tracking, I wouldn't have known what had happened to them. Once again they wouldn't replace the cushions. They wanted me to reorder them, and in the meantime the price had gone up by quite a bit. A live chat person told me he would give me the sale price if I reordered them, but I didn't trust him because I'd had that happen before with an item when they still ended up charging me more than the price I'd paid for the damaged item I'd received. I'd bought another futon, trying again, and it had broken legs, so I had to go through a huge hassle getting some replacement legs, not from target, who wouldn't get them for me, target wanted the entire futon returned to them, but from the company who distribute the futon, and that was after a major struggle with them. The cushions were the most recent, and I told that man on live chat who had claimed he would honour the sale price if I reordered, that I had had enough of target.com. I was also expected to wait for the refund for quite a while. There was another instance when I was sent an egiftcard because a purchase I made on target.com that I was never able to use in a target store. I was told various things by various target online support staff about whether I could or couldn't use it in a target store, they told me opposite things, and I ended up having to use it online because I could never find a way of being able to use it in a store, which was where I really wanted to use it. There was another occasion when they were having a sale on their website of some food bars but the sale price was only on their website and I had to go to a target store to collect them in order to pay the lower price. They turned that into a time-consuming hassle and long wait at the store. These are the main things that come to mind right now. Terrible, terrible website. I don't plan to ever use it again.

I ordered an ipad this year on Dec 24 to ship to a store nearby. It says the item will arrive Dec 29-Jan 2. Since I am only on a trip here until the 2nd, I figured that would give it just enough time. BUT NO. The website sneakily updated the arrival date to Jan 4 a few days later. I called customer service to ask where the ipad was, and nobody seemed to have an idea. I said I would not be able to pick up after Jan 2, the staff offered to re-order a new ipad for me honoring my original price (it was on sale during christmas) and ship to Hong Kong for me for free. Great. Then I had to talk to two more people of different departments, only to be told that since they don't ship digital items internationally anymore, there's no way they can do that for me. I asked if I can get any reimbursement in one form of another for my lose (shipping to HK by a friend) and the frustration in all this, she just flat out rejected me. Really? This is the $#*!test retail store there ever is on earth. Big fat corporate mongol lying and stealing hard-earned money from our pockets. I wish they go bankrupt ASAP. NEVER SHOP THERE, unless you want a load of troubles and have extra cash to drop.

We ordered a TV on the 8th of December for pick up at a local store. We were given the location and a time of 8pm. We didn't receive the email it's ready for pick up. Instead we got an email stating it will be shipped and delivered by Thursday at that point we were annoyed but not mad. We called target and they said to call a different number they have no way to check on delivered products. When I called the provided number I was told it has not been shipped and I can wait a couple days to see if it ships. Then was told since we did the delivery option which we did not pick we can't go pick up at any store. They have been paid and said if we start the refund process it will take 7 to 10 business days! I have heard from no one and have had no help in resolving. This was the most unethical transaction We have experienced. We are hoping to have the TV in time for Christmas. This is an experience will not have again because we will not buy from them again! I will recommend to all my family and friends to avoid Target as a whole! In store and on line!

I used Target.com and opted for Store Pick up. I used two coupons when I checked out. It seemed to go well until I got an email saying a couple of items couldn't be found at the store, so I opted to have those shipped. Once we got to the store to pick up the items that were there, two were missing. The store claimed to have no record of them despite us showing the order summary. I came home to an email saying that we had picked up the items and how much our card was charged, which was $10 more than the order summary stated. $10 more and we didn't get two items in the store or the three that were shipping later. So, we were incredibly over-charged. I went online to the chat person who offered a refund of the two items, but could do nothing about being overcharged, but then she couldn't process the refund because it hadn't been 24 hours. She told us to call and that they could process it right away. When we called, they told us that they could do nothing for us until they spoke with the store and then we would have to call them back in 24 hours. So, as of now, I have saved absolutely no time, I don't have the five of the items I purchased and my card was overcharged. I would definitely not recommend Target.com to anyone.

I have bad experience at Target South Bay Guest Service.
The employee name Deliza provided a poor guest service.
I bought wrong size of clothes for my daughter, and I needed to exchange to the right size. I lost one of the price tag but I have receipt with me. Deliza did not check the receipt and the price tag on the same product that I wanted to exchange to the other size. She asked me with her rude voice and face gesture that I have to have the price tag that I lost. After I explained to her that she can check the receipt and price tag, she did the return for me with nasty attitude. She slapped on the price tags, that I gave her which I did not loose, to throw them on the floor.
I love Target and like to shop here. I think this employee needs to be trained about customer service skill and she also needs to be professional.
I tried to do the return survey on the Target survey website, but it said my survey is expired although it just happened yesterday, and on the receipt appears that 02/24/2020 and expired on 05/24/20.

I recently made a shopping trip to Target as it was the only retail store that had an item I needed. I was at the University store in Sarasota and was amazed at how clean and bright the store is as well has how friendly and helpful the staff are. I was asked by several clerks if i needed help finding anything and they were smiling and more than willing to help. I thought it may have been just a good day so I went to back there again this week and had the same pleasant experience. Personally, I am sick and tired of attitudinal clerks in a major competitive store, where I feel unwelcomed and as if they wish I wasn't in their store at all. Those reviews that state that Target is racist is certainly NOT true by what I saw. I am changing my weekly shopping to Target and I am darn sure the other store will be glad not to deal with me. By the way, I never ask for help itn that other store, I am just glared at and blocked by store clerks stocking the shelves. Nasty way to treat your customers. I'll update my review after I have shopped in Target for awhile. Really looking forward to being treated well and getting my shopping done at the same time.

Fast delivery and products of good quality. The only problem that occurs at times - the delivery can be delayed. Yes, something luike that - its fast but rarely can be delayed at some circumstances.

I am a regular due to convenience. When I have time I go to Walmart. I want to patronize your store.
You didn't have at least 8 items. Your ad promises a $10 gift card when you buy 2 super/jumbo boxes of diapers. I selected 2. I asked the checker to verify that they'd qualify. One box of pull ups did, one didn't. I asked why. He looked in the ad, called the back, another employee walked up and gave a suggestion. He LEFT to go look. She checked my other items while we waited for him. I apologized, I didn't mean to cause a problem. She said he was having a bad day. He returned and said that it wasn't a super/jumbo box. I pointed to where it said "super" on the box. He was becoming rude. I said I just wanted one of the boxes. My kids and I wanted to go home. I gave him a few coupons. He said he couldn't do one. I said, "No, I'm sticking on this one. The item is pictured on the coupon. It's not expired." He slammed the coupon into the drawer, slammed the keyboard, and angrily said "whatever!" and walked off. The other employee gave me my receipt. The $3 from the disputed coupon is not on the receipt.
You don't have what you advertise, won't honor the deals you print, won't take manufacturers coupons, and your staff is aggressively rude. I'm not sure what I can expect from this, but I won't be back until it is resolved.

I just ordered a product that was not accurate on their website. I literally have wasted an entire hour. The first picture of the product showed the label ingredients as accurate with the bottle. I was so happy because I've been on the internet looking for hours trying to find this exact product. Then I see after I ordered thar the second picture shows a newer version of the product with different wording on the bottle and completely different ingredients, which is the one I DIDN'T want. I chatted with a representative, but he couldn't tell me which one I'd be getting and that if it wasn't what I wanted to return it to a store (1/2 hour away). This was not his fault of course, but who wants to waste an hour online ordering/chatting, waste more time waiting for a product you're not sure you're getting, only to waste more time and gas returning it. Unbelievable. You'd think Target would figure out the pictures shown would be the same product. Please get organized so your customers and your employees won't have to take the brunt of your mistakes. I'm ticked.

I ordered a bed frame online and was trying to find the shipping date. I couldn't get a shipping date until the order was processed. As soon as I saw the date was two weeks later, I cancelled the order within 2 minutes. I received a cancellation email indicating that nothing had been charged to my account and would not be charged since the order hadn't been shipped. Two days later, I see pending charges from Target on my bank account. Craig at the *******169 told me that a hold would drop off of my account in a couple of hours. He couldn't answer the reason for placing a hold on my account for a cancelled item, especially when a charge isn't supposed to be placed until the item is shipped. He suggested I contact my bank to free up the money. He kept repeating that nothing had actually been charged to my account, but spoke with a foreign accent and kept repeating that I should contact my bank to get the Target hold released. He didn't seem to understand that a hold on my bank account means I don't have the ability to use that money. I would never purchase another online item from Target. I couldn't get basic questions about shipping answered before check-out and placing a hold on my account for a cancellation is ridiculous. I gave him the option of fixing the problem or having me write this review. He chose the review.

Target online shopping is so bad its almost criminal.
The website is terrible as it is but the inventor is ridiculous, if they don't have the item they should not sell it, so many times I am delivered half the order I will never order again.
I tried to cancel my account, which is up in Dec. 15the, you cannot get any refund nor use your account if you cancel today, you have to call back on Dec 14th.
If you miss that day they will charge you anyway and not give you a refund... ALL THEY DO IS BLAME SHIPIT. Ship it does not run the Target website or stock their shelves.
HOW IS THIS NOT THEFT?
TARGET AND CEO, BRAIN CORNELL SHOULD BE ASHAMBED!

For a couple shower we received a kitchen aid mixer which was awesome! When we opened it there was cosmetic damage to the unit so we brought it to the Target in Minnetonka, MN. There the manager and returns associate were useless in tracking the order and made us wait 45 minutes while they discussed with an "online" associate like they worked at seperate companies... After wasting 70-80 minutes they said that we would have to take the unit home, print out the return label, drop it off at UPS and then the replacement would be sent when they received the return! What a joke. I was at their store with the item and we had to atke it home and go hrough all that work...? Isn't that the reason you would have brick and morter locations? Finally when we got the email the link did not even work so we wasted 30 more minutes trying to fumble through their messed up process. Target as a company (not online vs. brick and morter) is terrible and going down hill. We cancelled the remaining items on our registry and moved them to Amazon. Do not waste your time with this company because they are not challenging themselves everyday to make the customer experience better.

I think face masks being mandatory for customers and employees two months after a pandemics starts is ludicrous! Target is smarter than this! Why be a sheep falling in line with a long list of ridiculous "protection" policies for a virus we all need to gather up immunity for anyway?! So a few pompous idiots are making a deal about it? Stand strong and be proactive and safe but be wise Target! There's enough craziness going on besides a store trying appease the "crazy". I think due diligence in knowing some real educated information is great but plexi guards, gloves... and soap and water is ENOUGH. Face masks mandatory for guests and employees is just not necessarily. Especially now at this time! I refuse to shop (or work) where I'm being forced to go against what I believe and it's a violation of our constitutional rights as an American!
There are enough safeguards in place without making this mandatory, it should be optional. This is NOT. A lethal virus to healthy average people and the ones who aren't should be quarantined.
STOP THE INSANITY AND PANIC TARGET, you're better than that!
