Target is my favorite one-stop shop for everything from groceries to home decor to clothing. The store layout is well-organized, making it easy to find what I need, and the prices are competitive. I also appreciate Target's commitment to sustainability and their diverse range of products. Whether I'm stocking up on essentials or treating myself to something special, Target always delivers.
I placed a order for pick up at the inver grove heights, mn location. Upon calling and wantng to be connected to guest services on a question. After being connected to this department there was no answer, the phone would ring and ring and then it would disconnect. I tried several times during the day and no answer. Upon speaking to my daughter she stated that they never answer their phone and she has tried many times in the past year to check on things and always no answer. Whats up with the customer service at this store.
When it comes to gardening goods they have an ok selection but i was looking for more, specially online

If I were running Target.com and saw their embarrassing 43% approval rating here (UPDATE: Looks like since I sent them this review they sent their ringers here to up their ratings and pretend they are good now - nice try guys), heads would be rolling. Time to reboot and restaff. We even took out RedCards to get free shipping to Hawaii. They forgot to add, 'if it ever arrives.'
Our first order was just two lightweight clothing items we placed over a month ago and has still never arrived. USPS priority mail would take 3 to 5 days and it's certainly not a weight issue. Instead, for no apparent reason they used UPS who then for no apparent reason handed it off to the Post Office who then shipped it by boat which takes four to six weeks! Meanwhile we got emails asking us to review the items. Really? So their systems don't even know to not ask for reviews on items that haven't arrived? Again, as I write this, they have still not arrived. So we called them and they profusely apologized and said they would express ship a replacement and if the first order ever arrived to donate it. That was ten days ago - they have a peculiar way of defining 'express shipping.' Any eBay merchant knows that USPS first class or priority mail gets things to any part of the country in 3 to 5 days - even Hawaii.
Today we called about another order that had multiple items, all clothing or accessories and again very light weight. Since they break up your order and ship things piecemeal (without telling you), some items came right away like you would expect, others, are still not here three weeks later. Again profuse apologies and they are sending out a $15 gift card for the hassle. Woop de doo!
Here's the absolute capper for this horrible experience, adding insult to injury - we just got an email asking us to send back the items by a certain date to avoid being charged for them of that first order that still has never arrived - the one we were told that if it ever did to just donate the items. Seriously! Obviously one hand does not know what the other hand is doing at Target.com and they don't seem to care about it either. We are done with them.
Tip for consumers:
It's a crap shoot. Be prepared for long waits, conflicting information and a shipping system eBay hobby sellers put to shame.

Well, I purchased a dinning set which came damaged. I contacted the maker and they did not respond or help. I contacted Target for a replacement and return. The replacement was delivered to the wrong house downstairs. I contacted Target and they told me just over over their, open the package while it's standing up and take out a piece at a time for the ones I need to replace. This box was 3 times my width and taker than me. Weights about my weight. I am not taking that risk. The box said lay flat before opening. Target just said too bad. I then called and they just said they will come and pick up both package, the damaged on and the one that is delivered to the wrong place and refund me. Well, they did not refund me at all. I called, chatted, shown delivery proof and was told they have a system. They need to transfer my case to the investigation team, then the research team, then the specialist team and then to processing and such, then refund. Well, they never even transferred my case to any team when a week later I contacted them again. The chat rep told me to just contact my bank. I did and it took weeks more plus a complaint to the BBB for Target to refund me. Then they sent me a collection letter telling me I owe them the money. I contacted my bank and was told they are still under investigation and need Target to contact them directly as I have hand the case over to my bank. Well, Target just won't and keep sending debt collection letters with threat of me not being able to use my RED card again and such. So to avoid any hit on my credit and stuff, I have to send in another payment that I do not owe to Target. Hopefully it's a learning lesson and when this clears, I will cancel the RED card. I started using because I gave up on Walmart, but sadly this year, Walmart online has beat Target new "improved" system for sure. The 5% off on Red card is for sure not worth the trouble. I since then I have do all my shopping mainly on Amazon. The comfort of having decent/good customer services helps me more than a few dollars discount. So beware if you buy anything expensive and large from Target that comes damaged, it's like giving birth each time you contact them.

I placed an order for a gift of 20 candles and was sent the wrong item twice including the replacement items and they all came broken. And I only received half the order. The customer service rep gave me a partial refund, told me target.com messed up the description and said the other half of my order will arrive on Monday and I would receive a call from the target escalation team regarding ordering the original item on Tuesday. Well its Saturday night and I havent received a telephone call But I did receive the other half of the order, which is also wrong and came broken. And the rep tells me its no excuse but we have a lot of new workers and are receiving a lot of orders. Really? So here I am over a week later with broken merchandise I didnt order, half a refund for items I still need, and Half an order that should have arrived last week with the rest of the order that is not only broken, but they PACKED THE BOX WITH GARBAGE. A USED POTATO CHIP BAG, USED SCRATCH CARDS, AND A USED GROCERY PRODUCE BAG WAS IN THE BOX! And when I asked to speak to someone higher up, the rep I spoke to tonight said there is no one higher up, hes already located in the Target corporate building, and besides, we have no control over what happens in our distribution centers so he doesnt know what I want him to do. I AM FLABBERGASTED!
