I am a 67 year old resident of Prescott Valley. While riding a cart, (I cannot lift or push more than 10 lbs, but I walk just fine) and talking to a friend on my phone, shopping in the Prescott Target, I tried to maneuver the cart around a display, and it got hung up. A young female employee came to (I THOUGHT) assist me. As she worried about the display rather than me, I got myself untangled. As I rode off, she said, " Maybe you should get off your phone and use both hands and that wouldn't happen." I stopped, and asked her to repeat what she said. She did. I informed her that it is not her place to scold me for talking on the phone. My friend on the phone asked what was happening, and I told her an employee was "... $#*!ing at me about being on my phone." Twenty five minutes later I was approached by a "manager" named Mike. He told me that he understood there had been an "altercation" between me and an employee. I was accused of swearing at his employee and I was told to leave the store. Poor little thing... Had to actually do some work rearranging a display that got mussed, and someone hurt her little feelings, so she ran to a manager. So in this literal ghost town of a store, I left my cart and walked out. The manager's first mistake was thinking I am a little old lady he can push around. I pushed back with a tongue lashing he won't soon forget. But he thought he was a big man by throwing an elderly woman out of the store. Since this happened to me, I have met 3 other people who were abused by Target management in various ways, who told me they stopped shopping there. This entire situation should never have happened. Customer service is a thing of the past at Target. And soon, there will be no customers left to abuse, and another company who thinks the employee is always right, not the customer, will bite the dust.
Overall, I really like Target the store. It is where I prefer to do my home/book/cleaning/toy etc. shopping. The prices are reasonable and the selection quite large and diverse. The stores are well laid out, look good and you don't feel like your in a discount-building.
That being said, one thing the_stores_ need to fix is their supposed price matching. It is advertised in huge banners that they will match any ad price (and you have to bring the ad). Ok, bringing the ad is easy. I have_never_ had Target actually honor this policy. What it doesn't state is that the ad cannot have a quantity limit, date limit, be a 'special 'buy' -- there is always *something* that prevents them from actually matching a price. POOR service and misleading advertising especially when other stores WILL match the same ad.
The website is ok. Lots and lots of stuff but the search engine needs work. You get hundreds of results that don't match the search criteria. I especially hate having to search multiple areas for the same stuff: I shouldn't have to go search KIds and Games and Leisure and Clearance to find some puzzles!
But, the on line clearance items are amazing! WOW on the bargains.
I do like the wedding registry on Target.com but think that if I'm buying off the registry it should be sent to the bride/broom for free. I only buy items that are shipped free or I go to another store that ships wedding gifts without charging me. I also wish ALL the items in the registry were available for purchase through the website. If I/gift-givers don't have a Target in our town, I can't give those items. Frustrating.
Lots of good, some bad, hence the 3 out of 5.
And on their website you can get great promotions and sales that often aren't available in store with in store pickup available.
Target.com sent the wrong item. So I went to the chat on the website and the person lied to me and told me they couldn't send a replacement, and told me to call a phone number for that. When I called, it was a CALL CENTER and the person there tried to SCAM me out of ALL MY PERSONAL INFORMATION AND CREDIT CARD NUMBER! I hung up, went back to chat, and the person I got the second time processed a replacement ( so obviously the first one lied) but was not helpful at all when I tried to report the scam. Didn't even want to hear about it. Then the replacement order came and guess what. WRONG ITEM THE SECOND TIME TOO! And again, the person said they couldn't process a replacement. I have tried to report this scam, made 4 phone calls, and NO one wanted even to take a report on it. So, obviously Target is working alongside SCAM ARTISTS and deliberately sending people to them, probably getting a hefty kickback every time they succeed in SCAMMING someone out of their information and card number, so they can steal their identity and money! This is disgusting. You are taking your chances if you order from this company. AVOID IT!
I bought a pair of jeans for my bday. They told me it would arrive days before my bday. However it took an extra week ughh
Go in for one thing... end up spending $200 or more. ALWAYS! Never disappointed, LOVE how much Target's Corp. loves to help KIDS!
Love my Red card and knowing that I am helping give back to my local school and getting the 5% off everything I purchase.
On January 31 i purchased an iPad 10.2-inch Wi-Fi 64GB (2021 Model) – Space Gray for my mother. On, Thursday, February 3,2022, I received a package but to my surprise when I opened the package it did not contain a $349.79 iPad, but a $4.79 jar of Tostitos Medium Salsa Con Queso. I, immediately called Target customer care and their response is that since the deliver was successful there is nothing they can do and to reach out to the credit card company, after I had sent them pictures of the box and its contents. There also was no packing label in the box. I filed a formal complaint with Target. I did call the credit card company and they credited the account pending an investigation with Target. On 2-4-2022 I mailed a letter to the CEO and never heard anything from him. Somewhere around 2-8-2022 I received the refund from the credit card company. On 3-1-2022 I received a letter from the credit card company stating that because Target considers the delivery to be successful they would be charging me for the iPad (the jar of Tostitos). I called Target again on 3-1-2022 and was told by a rep that they would refund my money in 24 hours. On 3-3-2022 I receive an email stating that because the delivery was successful I would not be receiving a refund. I called Target to file a formal complaint and explained that I did receive a package, but it did not contain what I ordered and to voice my extreme disappointment that not even the CEO felt it necessary to give me a call back. I filed another complaint and on 3-4-2022 I received a letter from the Executive Team at Target saying that because the delivery was successful there was nothing that they could do and that in their minds the case is closed. Customer Service is not a hallmark at Target and they apparently learn it from their top executives. I've shopped at Target for over 30 years and will never step foot in another store or go to their website ever again.
I ordered something they claimed was an overbed desk, which i need due to my disability, but the item they sent is not an overbed desk at all and is only a standing desk which is the opposite of what i need. Since they charged me for a product i did not receive and sent me an unrelated product that i didn't order (the exact opposite of what i ordered, actually), i'm legally entitled to a refund without return. In this case i told them i'd be happy to have it picked up anyway since it's wasting space, but i was informed by the target representatives that they would not provide me reasonable accommodation for my disability and pick up this item, and they said the contracted company that sold the product through their site, spreetail, would also not do so. Even though i told them i could not return it without assistance such as pickup from a carrier (which is pretty common now rather than making people return things in store due to covid), and they refused to provide such reasonable accommodation, they also still refused to refund it without return even though I'm legally entitled to a refund without return since the item i ordered is not the one i received. They said it was up to the spreetail to process such a refund, but they refused to call the company on my behalf to arrange anything. Then when i contacted spreetail they claimed that they needed to talk to a target representative but also claimed they "could not" call target themselves because they "had no outbound phone line" (concerning for other reasons too, like these workers' safety, please investigate or forward to proper company) and i would have to have target call them. I repeatedly told them that i already asked target to call them but they refused. So basically these 2 companies are in a scam together to defraud disabled people in particular and also not provide reasonable accommodation to them as per ADA requirements nor to follow FTC laws.
FRIDAY NIGHT, 3/24/2023, AT THE TARGET STORE, ******* WEYBURN AVE., LOS ANGELES, CA *******. A BLACK MALE EMPLOYEE BEHIND THE GUEST SERVICES COUNTER WAS HORRIBLY RUDE, INEXPLICABLY REFUSING TO HELP ME. GUEST SERVICES! HELLO?! I REPEATEDLY ASKED THE JERK WHY HE WOULDN'T HELP ME, AND HE SAID HE COULDN'T. WHY?! WHY?! WHY?! A GUEST SERVICES EMPLOYEE WOULD NOT HELP A GUEST! AS AN IDENTIFIER, HE HAS A BLACK, VERTICAL, THICK, TATTOO STRIP ON HIS FOREHEAD. I TOLD NICE TRAINER JUAN ABOUT THE RUDE-$#*! EMPLOYEE WHO SHOULD NOT EVEN WORK THERE ANYMORE!I
WEEKS AGO I WROTE THAT I WAS SO GRATEFUL TO EMPLOYEE BRIANNA FOR FINDING MY CREDIT CARD WALLET THAT I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED IN THE STORE ON THURSDAY, MARCH 2,2023. I WAS SO UPSET, BUT THEN BRIANNA SAVED ME. THANK YOU, BRIANNA!
But this Target has no dog leashes in stock, so I had to buy one somewhere else.
And a pink-haired female employee at self-checkout is harshly rude.
PREVIOUSLY I WROTE...
Employee LANGSTON was extremely nice and helpful to me.
I am quitting Target after at least 20 years of patronage because of the rude associate I had to endure at the Woodhaven, Mi. Store and because of their lack of knowing how to say "thank you". I never hear a simple "thank you" when they hand me my receipt. I hear "have a nice day", "here you go", never "thank you". I purchased two decorative pillows at different times and returned one with the receipt and didn't realize until I got home that they didn't refund the receipt amount. When I went back a few days later, Mary, was so rude to me. She said they refund the least amount you paid and when I protested and showed the receipt stapled to the return amount, she said I didn't have it at the time. I told her I wasn't going to argue with her over less than $10. I wrote a letter to the CEO, Brian Cornell, about the rudeness, the wrong return amount and their lack of thanking their customers. I also sent him my last 3 statements totaling over $3000 so he would know I valued his business. I received an email from guest relations which was a standard reply about being sorry for not meeting my expectations which was full of grammar and punctuation errors which lead me to think it came from another country(I also sent him a copy of the email). I sent Mr. Cornell a second letter (marked confidential and personal thinking maybe he didn't see the first letter) expressing my disappointment in his lack of interest since I felt I was doing him a service (I would want to know what was happening if it was my business)in letting him know what happened. I enclosed my cut up Red card advising him I would be shopping in the future at Kohls, Meijer, Carson's, Macy's, Kroger and local stores since it was obvious he didn't care about my patronage. I never heard back from anyone so I guess they really don't care.
Hopefully this doesnt happen to many but i didnt get my package they said it was delivered now im in a dispute
LEAVE OUR CHILDREN ALONE! Take the trash out of your store. Avoid bringing children unless you want to deal with them questioning their gender.
All they have are black people on their commercials. Where are the BROWN, WHITE, RED AND YELLOW? I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!
From their "Red Card" to their shopping cards... Oh, and their fresh produce... Target can't compare to ANY OTHER store!
I do too much shopping at Target, and getting 5% off of everything is too sick value to pass up on
Target is clean and fair priced
I am not a big shopper
But my kids have lots of fun in target
I hear people rave about Target. I have always found them to be over priced and limited on stock
With all kinds of home-wares and decor as well as linen it seems like they have one the race
Answer: Looks like Target has sent a lot of ringers here to up their ratings in the last few months. Nice try guys but your whole shopping experience is still subpar. To answer this question, IT DEPENDS on where you live and what you order. If you're right next to their warehouse, SURPRISE, it's there in a day and you think they are fantastic. If you live far away, the item is no longer in stock or they are slow to fill it, it could take six weeks. It did for us on a couple of occasions, SO it's the luck of the draw and certainly NOT better than Amazon.
Answer: Sure! A'ja; glkjadlgj 'alkd'g a'ldkg a'kl ;d ; aljdgl kajdl; kgja'dogja' ldgj'aljgd'aklg' aklgd'aldkg a'lgd
Answer: Be careful. If the item suddenly becomes unavailable that you already paid for you will have to wait 30 days for your refund.
Answer: Sometime from other sites, malware can be picked up to track your internet history. I don't think target's website would carry that!
Answer: I'm sorry. I ordered a lot from target.com and never had a problembefore, but when I finally did have a problem... hours and days on the phone. One of the service techs put me on hold for 30 minutes. Another put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up. Horrible.
Answer: I was unable to purchase a prepaid phone card with my gift card. This fact was not disclosed in the product description so I found out at the checkout when it was too late. Now am stuck with the useless gift card. I am very disappointed in Target shopping and will never buy anything from them ever again. I do not recommend Target shopping to anyone. Spare yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. Enough said.
Target has a rating of 2.2 stars from 1,742 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Target most frequently mention customer service, gift card and online order. Target ranks 7th among Department Store sites.
