I got a free trial to TasteCard and have gotten a lot of use out of it, mostly thanks to how handy the website/ iPhone app is at making it easy to find participating restaurants. Only addition I might like if there was a way to get alerts for when new restaurants are added, but still really good.

The title only goes part of the way to describe my experience with this company. As demonstrated by other customers, this company uses the same tactics as the scam centres in the Far East rather than civilised business practices and customer service.
I cannot stress enough how poorly this company operates and would ask that this be taken into account by anyone considering membership.

Simply put: I purchased e-codes for the cinema, they wouldn't work, they were cheaper through the cinema directly, the exempt cinemas were totally unclear during the booking process.

I requested a refund as they didn't work, I never redeemed them, the whole process was unsatisfactory - I wrote and explained the customer service and I was told to 'do one' pretty much. They don't care about their paying customers, they charge a subscription but once they've got your money they couldn't care less. I was told nothing is refundable, they kept contradicting themselves, the whole thing was laughable.

The fact that a large organisation couldn't even offer a paying subscription customer a £30 refund - greedy. No customer loyalty, no values. Don't support this utter scam of a company.

Tastecard decided to take 47.88 from my bank account with absolutely no warning and refused to refund me. They trick people into signing up for 3 month trial then conveniently forget to remind customers that their trial is about to end before just taking money out of bank accounts. Be warned. Don't trust manipulative companies like this one

I got a free trial to TasteCard and have gotten a lot of use out of it, mostly thanks to how handy the website/ iPhone app is at making it easy to find participating restaurants.

Only addition I might like if there was a way to get alerts for when new restaurants are added, but still really good.

This company knows exactly what they are doing by not allowing members to cancel their membership from the app and instead make them email in. They then refuse to refund you when you ask on the day the money came out for the membership. Fraudulent company. Do not go anywhere near them.

Signed up for a 3 month free trial through the NHS discounts website. After 2 months money was taken from my account. Tastecard said that's what I signed up for, despite my showing I'm a doctor, and that they still have the 3 months free trial on the discounts page so why would I sign up for a shorter free trial? They will not refund the money they've stolen. Appalling customer service - rude and utterly unwilling to help in any way. Stay away - awful company.

Cancelled the membership with TC a few weeks ago, including checking my standing orders and direct debits. Then on renewal they take another payment and end the card in the same month that they have just taken payment for, for the year. How is this logical? So will have to contact my bank to see how they are getting access to my funds.

I cancelled my card pretty soon after I opened the trial. I never used it once then today they take money out of my account. There's no number and the person who got back to me on social media told me they couldn't help me. I will be taking this to the fraud department with my bank. I received no email or indication they would be taking money out. It's appalling and a scam. Please stay away. Giving 1* because I have to.

Thieves!
They charged me!without any notice! After the free trial and when I asked for a refund (literally minutes after they charged my account) they refused to refund it!
Never used their service, and never will! They stole £50 from me!

Ongoing dispute with tastecard to get my money back. Cancelled my membership and they said it hadn't worked due to "app issues". Provided with clear proof i had no active membership and they just apologised and took my money anyway. Ignoring rights to cancel and if the app was having problems and I was past the cancellation time I would still be within my rights to a refund. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling off period in which you can cancel any service you've agreed to either online, over the phone, by mail order, or outside of the trader's premises. If you've paid a deposit, you should expect your deposit to be returned to you.

If i could give 0 stars, i would give them -10 stars.

This company is a scam. I do not remember subscribing to anything at all, but i got charged an amount and got in touch over a month ago and nobody has replied to my email, so this morning i got charged the same amount again. I checked what tastecard is about, and was so confused why i'm being charged money for never seeing or hearing of this company in my life.

They are theiving people and i will be taking this further as they don't care to reply to emails or refund their customers. It's such a waste of time. This is against the law and i sure will be taking this further.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Took out a trial as their was a restaurant near us. However when we contacted them to book they said they hadn't used Tastecard for 6 years and were sick of telling them. Tried cancelling but as we were 1 day outside of the free trial they have charged 39.99 and refusing to refund. The woman who replies to their complaints emails Donna is useless, she just hides behind copy and pasted t&c's, and refuses to help. No phone numbers to complain too, no wonder. Luckily the bank have refunded me and are pursuing Tastecard for the money but the amount of stress these clowns have caused, they are just interested in taking money and providing zero service. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I tried to use Tastecard to get cinema tickets. I clicked "get offer" and was asked how many tickets I wanted. There was no instruction about how to use BOGOFF so I entered 2. No price came up and I found at the end of the transaction I had been charged full price for each ticket, no discount at all. I complained to Tastecard and they said I could not get a refund. I won't be using Tastecard again, a complete scam!

I totally agree with all the 1 star reviews. The choice of restaurants is negligible. The website is so poor it's laughable. They take monies even though you have requested to cancel and then refuse to refund. DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT.IT IS A SCAM SITE.

You will find it completely impossible to cancel your account, they will end up taking a years fee off you without telling you in advance and will hang up on the phone to you when you try and get your money back. Most of the places that you can use your taste card, already have offers you can utilise without the need to pay the ridiculous cost of £30 a year. COMPLETE SCAM

Tastecard is a scam!
I bought two E-codes for the cinema, I have never received an email with the purchase order, I have never received the E-codes ( I haven't received them even after writing to customer service), and when I contacted the customer service they told me "sorry, but the E-codes are not refundable".
I paid for a service that I couldn't use and after that to find out that I can't have my money back either.

Ditto to all the reviews that have said this company is a scam. Their company won't refund the subscription fee no matter what. And disputing with your credit card won't help as these companies' policies dictate that a subscription must be cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the renewal date, so there won't be anything you can do about it.

This business is surviving only through a legal loophole that basically allows them to trick £40 out of as many people as possible till finally the word gets around enough that people wise up. Slimy model.

Plus, as others mentioned, there's very little of worth here. In Sheffield, there are hardly any decent restaurants included. And the chains, like the pizza places, as others have observed, you can find the same deals online. The cinema tickets are okay if you plan ahead and don't go on the weekend - that's it.

I feel sorry for their customer service people. It must be so stressful to be a part of a business with no integrity and no care for its customers. Their customer service department must eat up well over half their budget. If Tastecard would shift their dishonest "we got you - too late - hah, hah" business model, they could focus on expanding and verifying the companies included with their card, thereby offering a product that people would want instead of being tricked into.

I hope someone will finally stop this con artist company. There are hundreds of reviews that all say the same thing: they are scammers.

TasteCard are a horrible and fraudulent company with absolutely no ethics or morals. Not only are the deals offered now completely lacking, meal discounts are pretty much Mon - thu if you can find anything you like and you can find similar offers on the restaurant websites yourself. On top of this if taste card have your payment details they will use them without your permission or provide you with a single reminder even if you accidentally signed up for auto renew a year before it was just due. Now I would've been forgiving of this if however on the same day and literally hour I saw the fee leave my account I contacted TasteCard for a refund and cancellation and was met with a no, which goes against my rights. I tried to fight the claim internally with them and they were rude and obnoxious. I would've taken them to small claims and won however they are preying on busy people like myself who just haven't got the time. I can see a lot of people have had this issue and if the only reason they are still in business is by nicking/thieving peoples money then they should be trading. I understand if it had been a month or maybe even a week before contacting them for a refund but an hour just goes to prove how disgusting they are!

If I could rate 0 I would. I mistakenly signed up for this. As soon as I realised you would eventually have to pay I cancelled the membership and deleted the app. I still had 39.99 taken from my account last week. I emailed the company who told me they had sent stuff to me and email reminders, none of which I have received. They told me I couldn't have a refund, even though I've never used it and deleted and cancelled straight away. Under consumer rights, customers are entitled to a refund 14 days after purchase if they are not satisfied. I am certainly not satisfied. We are already struggling financially, we don't really eat out or go the cinema etc so none of this is any use to us. If I did want to go the cinema it would cost me £20 for my family, cheaper than the £39.99 they are charging. Also restaurants etc have their own deals which are better anyway and save more money for yourselves. This whole thing is a scam. The money can be returned they are just choosing not to. Charging people for something they have never and will never use especially after cancelling is just disgusting. Telling people they haven't cancelled when they have seems to be happening to a lot more people than just myself. Clearly a scam that people need to stay away from. Since I have asked for proof they have ignored all my emails. Also there is no way to speak to anyone on the phone which if someone is taking my money I would like to speak properly to an actual person.

Absolute scam. I cancelled my suscription before it ended but they still took the money now they are claiming the system did not recognose this. I have contacted my card company to report this

I wanted to give zero stars but it's not allowed.

Contacted Tastecard on 26th August as I tried to use the card in a restaurant and the app wouldn't open

Followed this up the following day by removing app and downloading again still no luck

Contacted Tastecard again and was on phone for over 30 mins then just got cut off

Followed their guidance to get a new password and re activate it, still no joy and no reply from Tastecard

Emailed 2 further times on 29th and 31st August, got no reply, called again on 1st September and after 45 mins waiting it cut me off again

The app is still not working just shorting out when you put in log in details still no reply from Tastecard and when I tried to call today they have taken down their phone lines, totally disgraceful behaviour

They take your money and don't offer a service, it's now been unusable since 26th August and they have made no contact whatsoever what's joke

Iv asked for a refund got no reply at all

Don't buy it it's rubbish and not worth it
