Disappointing
December 30, 2017

I am happy with the product itself. However, it was meant to be a Christmas present. I ordered it 10 days prior to and received it 4 days after Christmas. I called to check in it the Friday before Christmas and was told it was lost in the mail. So you were going to refund my purchase. I then went and bought a replacement gift elsewhere. Yesterday I realized I hadnt received my refund and then later in the day the package was delivered. The whole process was a complete cluster and I am extremely disappointed.

They helped with the questions I had about the board and bindings I was purchasing. I love the board and satisfied with the bindings. They are both exactly as described by the website. It's to the point that if I want anything snowboard or casual apparel related, they are my first stop.

Excellent service

First time bicycle buyer. I bought a Framed fat bike from the house and a cruiser for my wife from another company. I spoke with someone from Framed who explained a few of the models and revisions to me. I wanted to pick up a Minnesota 3.0 and was informed it was replaced by the Wolftrax. The main feature the 3.0 had that made me settle for a 2.2 that was in stock was the paint scheme. The bike arrived a day early and in great condition. With an adapter for the tire stems ($2 from a local bike shop) and an air compressor, the tires weren't difficult to air. The 18 speed offers enough gears to pull a kids chariot through the grass, dirt and around the neighborhood. I'll likely buy another from Frame and the house when the time comes.

Warning: neighborhood kids will think your bike is cool and try to race you. Your wife will be jealous of your fat tires which may lead to sleeping on the couch if you show off all the things you can run over.

I ordered a few Northface shirts for Christmas 2021. It said the package was delivered and I NEVER received the package! I tried to contact customer service several times and no one ever answered the phone. I let the phone ring for several hours and no one answered. Needless to say, I paid for something that I never received! The funny thing is that I ordered all of Christmas gifts online and received every package accept the package I ordered from The House! They suck!

Update!

So update on my last review. The jacket is perfect! The only downside are the cuffs of the jacket where the color is. This part of the jacket gets wet easily but is hardly noticeable when worn over your snowboarding gloves.

I haven't gotten out with them yet because it's September, but so far, I love them.

PROS:
-The fit is just as I expected. An inch or two of extra space, but not too loose or long.
-Water-Resistant, I haven't tested this on the mountain yet, but I dipped the pants in water and they were fine.
-Warm, They were nice and insulated, but not so much that I couldn't wear them on a warm day. Also they have vents and vented pockets if I need some fresh air.

Negative
-Not really any yet since I got them ON SALE; although if you are paying full-price for these, that may be a detrator.

Order a bike, had them preassemble it and ship it. Got it sooner than I though, it would even be shipped out. Came with everything I needed to put the tires and peddles on, though I had the tools at hand. Even Got a packet of information, to tell me how everything works. Overall I give this a 4 star.

Can't rate the exchange process yet because I just sent back my Birkenstocks I ordered because they were too big. Not thrilled about having to pay shipping to exchange them when I could've paid about $5 more for the same shoe AND gotten free shipping at so many other online stores.

Solid bike

I'm 6ft 2 and have been abusing this bike for about a month now. It can stand up to airing out of half pipes, doing 360s, and doing a lot of disasters. Also, it can air out over jumps pretty well. I have yet to replace a part on it but I'm sure I will be starting with the crank. It is a crappy one piece but it has yet to break. Next will be the handlebars and after that the wheels. For the money it's a very solid bike and a decent frame to work around with.

I can be pretty patient, but have my limits. In October 2020 I began shopping for winter wear for myself and my family. I came across an ad from The House and I took a look. I liked what I saw. Since that time I have purchased 6 coats, 2 pairs of gloves, goggles, and some base layer clothing. Everything I purchased was a good value and arrived in a timely manner. I tried to buy two more coats for my spouse who typically only gets a good fit with items that are tailored for petite sizing. When the coats didn't fit I returned them. The House signed for the items on Nov 30. It is now Jan 10 and I still don't have a refund. I have sent 4 emails to customer service which opened tickets... no reply, I have waited on hold so long I hung up. I have live chatted with an agent twice only to hear it is taking longer than normal. This week when I contacted them they told me it is in process and could take 30 days to show up on my statement. That is three times longer than their stated refund policy. Now I am going to have to contest the charges. What a pain! EVO, Back Country, Moose Jaw, Eddie Bauer, all processed returns and refunds within 2 days of a return. The House has some pretty big warts. You better make sure that the stuff you are ordering is going to work.

OUTSTANDING!

I had a super experience with The House and will absolutely return for future outdoor and travel needs. After Amazon sent me a very small version of the Marmot bag I wanted in XL, I searched online and found exactly what I wanted, at a BETTER price than Amazon. I used the chat function to confirm the availability of the bag and it arrived super fast. The whole experience was super. AAA+++

Despite the unfortunate shipping loss w/ FedEx not owning THEIR problem in losing my son's skateboard, Chase & The-House Crew didn't hesitate to offer not only a quick replacement, but provide my son the option to get a better board at the original discounted rate of the lost board. You don't see many company's provide this kind of Incredible Service & needless to say, (especially during a looming Recession), my Family & I are now The-House Fans for Life! Serious Props to Chase for his extraordinary service and professionalism.

CUTEST JACKET EVER

I work at a ski resort so Ive seen this jacket a couple times and I love the pattern and The House is the only place I could find it. Im thrilled, its so comfortable and warm and Ive gotten lots of compliments

I called to get a return label for snowboard boots on January 26th, paid over $8 for the label. Called 2 days later because I hadn't received it, spent 15 minutes on hold. They told me the label was resent and I should see it soon. One week later, call back same story. Called back 4 MORE TIMES! Average of 18 minutes on hold each time. Was told I can just ship it myself. (after I have paid for the label!) I called back today for the 6'th time, finally they realized they were using my P. O. box as a shipping address so the label was not processed. Asked for them to refund me the shipping label because of the inconvenience, stress, headache, and abysmal customer service. Was told no, I could still get my $150.00 back but they do not offer free returns. Nearly a MONTH later! Ridicules. Horrible, I have ordered from them so many times and will never order from there again. Don't waste your time or money. Good thing I am not counting on that $150.

One just went out, CYLINDER is just not working anymore
I called HOUZZ gave them the original order just to get an email telling me the warranty is out and the factory can't PROVIDE anymore.
JUST TWO PEOPLE IN MY HOUSE, me and my wife. Hardly any use, Bar Stool is NEW and now BROKE
Very POOR SVC. And VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH HOUZZ
I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOUZZ

Stay Away from this HOUZZ

686 Jinx jacket
October 11, 2018

This is my son's 2nd Jinx. He grew out of the 1st one and wanted another just like the first. He uses it snowboarding 2 or 3 times a week from the day they open the hills until the day they shut down for the season.
