Received several inaccurate reviews, they had the nerve to indicate I was lying then demanded proof or a court order to have removed. So guess what, I called me attorney and had to spend thousand of dollars to get it removed.
Reviews should be based on contractual agreements only. Joe Smith should nto just come in and give a false statement. Turns out they were competitors trying to ruin my rep.
Go with Wedding Wire instead. No proof = no review
I ordered a few items for my wedding but it took damn near forever to receive my package... Some of the things were doable... But within minutes of taking the plastic off and opening up "The Knot Expandable Purse File - Swirl" this raggedy cheap $#*! thing tore and the clip that holds the marker broke off when closing it back... no wonder it was on sale... it's a joke! Never again though! And you want a star, LMAO I think NOT...
I am so frustrated with theknot.com. My business is closed. I received a bad review yesterday (from a difficult client I serviced over a year ago), and realized that I needed to take down the storefront. They are not allowing me to remove my listing because "their research" suggests my business is still open... Rather than direct me to prove closure, they sent me a multi paragraph email on how to drum up more reviews. This has been such a waste of time and energy, and extremely insulting. I spent the last two years working tirelessly to change careers, and am now stuck with solicitations (and insults) from theknot brides. Run if you can...
If you are looking for a place to hold a wedding/reception, look no further. Wedgewood Pines in Stow, Ma is a magical place that will provide a spectacular venue for your special day. The setting is idyllic. We held a post wedding reception brunch last weekend. Trish Silva, event coordinator is a hidden gem. She made excellent suggestions and made us feel very special. The food was outstanding from the cocktail hour through dessert. Her chef and staff were wonderful to our guests. It was a seamless event, very reasonably priced and I wouldn't have changed a thing.
Been advertising with the knot for almost two years, haven't book a single wedding through them and I book a good a mount of weddings. They have fake people contact you asking for more information, as if they couldn't just click the link to our website; but not one of them every replies back once we respond. Don't waste your time.
If I could give this website ZERO STARS- I would. We have used this site to set up all of our wedding information to give to guest and to have guests RSVP. For months, I have been sending in complaints that the website keeps changing our date, sometimes multiple times a day! This is unacceptable. If the website were only to have one this working, I would want it to be the correct date! How am I supposed to have guests plan lodging and travel? It is so confusing! The worst part is that in nearly four months, The Knot has not been able to fix the problem, and it has even gotten worse- changing many times throughout the day, even seconds after I change it back. Do not use this website or service. You will regret it. Save yourself the headache.
Be ware to order personalized items on this website. It takes an extremely long time and your order doesn't even show up on their website for an option to cancel within 24 hrs. Then when you take the time to call them and see if they have your order then u fibd out that your order does not come in until AFTER THE event. Of course then u get a very cordial oh I'm sorry can't cancel any more! Won't be doing any business with these guys let alone trust my wedding planning to them.
I honestly could not give this place worse reviews. The product is nice but that doesn't matter because you will be lucky if you ever even see it. It has been over a month since I ordered and it is still "processing". Customer service is rude and doesn't even make an attempt to help. Just today (yes a month after I ordered) I noticed that half of my order was now canceled (yes 2 days before Christmas). Dont worry I dont expect a response or any help from the company anytime soon. giftsforyounow.com is ******* times better.
I would highly not recommend using this website and trying out some of the other wedding website sites out there. Horrible interface, often does not load, the app sucks, and it is very hard to customize all the different sections about your wedding. I did not use the knot for anything besides to make my wedding website and I'm very happy about that. Even creating the website was a hassle, just uploading a cover photo is difficult! I cannot believe this is the go-to wedding website to use. I'd steer clear and try a different site.
Worst wedding planning site ever. Unfortunately, I was too deep into planning to switch to a different site. You can no longer search your guest list or sort it into alphabetical order. Also, I've entered addresses for the same guests three times and they just disappear after a day. When I go to edit the text on our website I can't change the alignment so that it lines up with the header text. The registry page takes forever to update when gifts have been purchased or removed. When I first signed up for the knot, I didn't have any of these problem, then they "updated" it and it's caused so many problems, I want to throw my computer through a wall. At this point I only use the site to allow guests to RSVP because it's too late to change my mind. Otherwise I just have an excel spreadsheet that I use to keep track of everything. And guess what? A blank excel spreadsheet is 100x more useful than the knot has been.
Website has some good pages, but be sure to avoid the "community" forums. Bad software, you can never get rid of your posts (also nearly impossible to remove a wedding page -- no respect for your privacy) and nothing but a catty clique of 'mean girl' Bridezillas and their yes-women anyway.
I have a free listing on the Knot but have been unable to access it to answer inquiries in about 6 months. They did a software "upgrade" and every time I try to access my inquiries it says I must "Claim"my business and update email will be coming, except it never does and the customer service sucks. Still haven't fixed it and I have lost at least 3 weddings.
My daughter found this place, it is a piece of heaven on earth! From the property and grounds to the attention n of the owner Ann Messenger it was perfect. I know this because I paid for the wedding. Loved the big fire pit to make smores at night. I wish I could have had my wedding there 26 years ago. I am one happy dad, worth every penny. Don't look anywhere else, wasting your time.
I spent several thousands dollars advertising for my wedding business with them and got nothing. NOTHING! The company will charge you for very poor leads and you end up paying $$$ for it. Too many advertisers competing for the same spot. Any other advertising is better than theknot. The salesperson will make it sound really good but don't believe a single word. Save your money! Just do a search for "TheKnot Review" and read all the reviews. Mostly 1 star reviews for their service. Very disappointed. Feel like they just stole my money and didn't care if advertisers made money or not. Eventually, people will know and they will lose all their advertisers.
I ordered a bulk order from the knot shop. It was for the wrong amount (120 came in, I wanted 144). I called them within a week of receiving the order. They said there was nothing they could do, I had to pay full price per each additional one I needed instead of the bulk price that I should have received and in addition I had to pay the set up fee AGAIN! They were rude, and not helpful via email or by phone. I wish I could return all of these but I would rather the shot glasses I have to go in the trash then to give them one more red penny. I don't think the company cares about these reviews though, or they would respond... look at the amount of negative reviews.
I too, like some others I am seeing in these reviews, decided to put together a wedding website for my out of town guests. At first I thought it was simple enough. I had accidentally signed up two of my email addresses so I got confused when one website was only half done. I emailed them asking them to help and they took forever to respond. I decided to email them, asking them to delete one of my accounts so there would just be one on there. That was 4 days ago and haven't heard a single thing from them. And the amount of spam I have received after signing up for this site is ridiculous. So far theknot.com has not been worth the headache they have given me. Like I said before, really wish I had read some of these review before signing up. Don't do it - you can find other much better sites out there.
We had a terrible experience with our wedding planner and our band. Both had 5-star ratings on The Knot. After reviewing them closer after the event. Many of the reviews used similar words and phrasing. I'm wondering if there's a service that pumps up reviews for pay.
I researched photographers on the knot. We chose one that was rated a 5 star all reviews I read were good. Its now 2 1/2 years since the wedding and we still have not received everything we paid for. I went to the knot and now there is one review after another stating the same thing. That she never answers calls, emails and texts. But yet she still has a 5 star rating on the knot.
Unethical business and fake promises. Their whole presentation is a fake promise and their sales rep offer you deals that are not written down on a contract and then blame you for signing up. I wish I looked at the reviews before signing up with them. If you are a business, do not do it! Please save yourself. I did not receive not 1 lead from them and most of the messages ended up being fake people.
I think this is one of the best wedding sites out there and their magazine is also a great resource. They list tons of places to get favors, they have ideas for bridesmates dresses and so much more. The community was great as well because when you are getting married it is good to be able to talk with other newly engaged people. So, if I ever get married... again... I will use this site. I saw a bunch of people commenting on this site so thought I would also throw in my 2 cents.
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
The Knot has a rating of 1.7 stars from 390 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with The Knot most frequently mention customer service, credit card and wedding wire. The Knot ranks 79th among Wedding Planning sites.
