I wish I could give 0 stars.

I ordered several personalized items on 12/1, when their prices were fantastically low (~80% off!). When you have such an amazing deal, as the business, you should expect a huge quantity of orders rolling in. Clearly, they did not prepare; I've been tracking my order since 12/1 and it's only ever said "processing". I checked again today and one of my items stated "cancelled". I check my email again to see if they sent me an email to notify me that they have cancelled an item, and nothing, not even in the spam folder.

I called customer service and Tina says, "we have experienced a higher than normal volume that we didn't expect due to the low prices over the last few weeks". Really? You're telling me you didn't expect orders to come in droves when you mark it down 80%? She said "at this point, please don't expect your items by Christmas". All I could say was that this was horribly inconvenient. What else can you do? She also said "we are only human, we are doing the best we can". That's great, then don't promise things that you can't deliver on, it makes for very upset customers.

As much as I wanted to, I didn't cancel my order because I got such a great deal, but my family may just need to receive wrapped pictures of what we are waiting for in the mail, totally lame but what else can I do!? Honestly, I think the knot should shell out for overnight shipping once the orders are complete. It's your mistake Knot, try and at least do something that shows you care; but at this point, that is not the impression I'm getting. Really, it just feels like you sold as much as you possibly could with no regard of man power or inventory. We as customers would much rather see that something is sold out rather than ordering and then be told (or discover, not even notified) that it's not coming till after Christmas, or not at all.

I've never had such a terrible time with online ordering for Christmas, maybe I should just stick with amazon.

I cannot believe how terrible the free wedding website is. Every single time we try and update information it doesn't save it, the site collapses or weird things don't work - today, the delete key won't work. It takes them weeks to answer emails. Their employees don't seem to speak English - which means there are a lot of misunderstandings, that play themselves out over months. And they will make parts of your information publicly available.

It is also ugly in a weird way. On some pages, for example, when you insert a link to a website, a separate link box will appear that your guests can click on. But then, randomly, on some pages when you insert a web address to link to, it will just include the whole clunky awful looking address in the text. And that's if you can get the information to save at all.

But this is not the worst of it. They misinterpreted an email of mine and deleted our entire account and the website.

I have since set up an account with a different service and can say with certainty that one does not need to tolerate just how bad the Knot's service is. Other sites give the choice, in plain English, up front, whether you want your registry and website findable through search engines. Even when set to 'private' the Knot will list your registry and wedding details publicly. Other sites actually work. And other sites have numbers you can call them on and people who actually answer emails.

I regret having had our invites printed with the Knot wedding website address on it. I cannot recommend strongly enough not using this service! Unless you want your free wedding website to be the single most stressful part of getting married DO NOT sign up for a website with the Knot. There are plenty of other, better, free services.

My daughters wedding on 3/25/2018 was beautiful. Her ceremony was held outside, and the reception was held in one of the ballrooms. When she booked the wedding it was with Allison who awesome, she worked within my daughters budget, which made her dream wedding come true. She was personable, any information my daughter needed was sent swiftly. She was a people person, then she quit a few months before my daughters wedding. Ashley was the replacement, so opposite from Allison. When we met up with her to finalize how we were going to plan the ballroom and the outside ceremony, we could feel the immense tension radiating from Ashley. Any questions you could tell was grating on her nerves, if she could roll her eyes she would. And she even confided to us she cant stand girls. Very awkward... Two days before the wedding when my daughter gave her the final count, it turned into a nightmare with Ashley trying to get another 800.00 out of my daughter. My daughter had to talk to Ashleys supervisor in order to straighten it out, but by then my daughter was so upset. On the day of the wedding my daughter was running behind and Ashley kept pushing and pushing being totally negative. A bride doesn't need that. This women does not do well with women. She should be a golf tournament planner instead of weddings. The venue is awesome, the food is delicious, if we didn't have to deal with Ashley it would have been so much better experience for us. The men at the valet area, were awesome, patient with us while we were bringing In decorations for the wedding. Helping by bringing us carts so we could roll towards the outside ceremony. During the reception Shirley was so helpful she was sweet, her attitude was great and really made our reception run smoothly and fun. Im writing this review not to stop anyone from having their dream wedding here, but just be aware if you get the wrong employee who handles weddings it can tarnish the experience. My husband & I decided to ring in the 2018 New Year at the Marina del Rey in the Bronx again this year. This was our 2nd year. Prior to this I had hosted NYE in my home for a whole lot of family for past 16 years!

Last year we had a table with close friends & family and it was great.
This year those friends & family members couldnt commit but my husband & I decided since we had such a wonderful time last year, we still wanted to go again this year!

Joe Orzo was hosting and he in fact is the one that booked our reservation. He set us up at a great table and everything was just amazing! His hospitality, the food, the service, the staff, the music, the atmosphere-EVERYTHING!

My husband & I joked when we planned this that this would be our date night since my husband & I are expecting our first child in April!
Joe truly made our night special! We didnt know not one other person of the hundreds that were there and he made it a point to come over & check on us several times throughout the night to make sure we were happy!

So, we want to give special thanks Joe for all you did to start our 2018 in a great way! Unfortunately, it is not often you get to meet people like Joe who is professional, respectable, and personable and so when we do we need to express our THANKS!

Happy New Year to Joe Orzo & the entire Marina Del Rey staff!
Hope to see you again next year!

"The Knot"
January 4, 2017

I was one of the many, many victims which it is clear from the many negative posts about the Knot! I am not a member and do not pay for advertising with them only for one reason... I am not comfortable bugging my brides to sign onto their site to write a review. Instead my brides and often parents of the brides mail me thank you cards and notes that often come with photos from the wedding. A vendor that I dealt with recently (not in the wedding industry) charged my credit card and never shipped some items. This happened to nine of us that all ordered from them, paid by credit card and only then to be charged and have nothing shipped. After three long months, we were finally able to get our money returned from the credit card company and the credit card companies awarded us the dispute in every case. In retaliation, she said that she would shower my business with negative reviews which took place via the Knot. A completely false review was written by someone that we never met, never heard of, never talked on the phone with and never did any business with. The review also included many mistakes about us taking a last minute cake which we never because we book out the entire season! We also never hold tastings in our studio so fact after fact was false. When I sent in a dispute to the Knot to look into it, I was told that they can't tell what is the truth and what is not so they just leave them on. I am guessing that if I was an advertiser, they would be much more helpful! What a joke these reviews are. I have some from brides on there that i know the brides and I appreciate them taking the time to take the steps to post a review but if someone decides that they have a grudge or they are upset with anything at all, unrelated to my business, they are completely able to fabricate anything at all that they want to and post it. Now I am finding out that if they decide to punish you, they will even erase your good reviews and leave the bad posts! Thank you "The Knot" for being a dishonest and horrible company to deal with. I will make sure that anyone and everyone we knows hears of not only our experience but that of others! Hope that your business suffers as you let vendors do the same due to fake reviews!

We purchased our save the dates from the knot. We had a good experience from krista at first, but there have been some issues since. We put our website on our save the dates but the knot added a character that you're not even allowed to use. If it was something not allowed, they shouldn't have caught that. Even the IT department we talked to said that. We have been calling constantly and Jaico was horrible. She basically said everything was our fault, and they wouldn't do anything about it. When we are contacting them, we are asking how they are allowing us to even print something with characters not allowed. My fiancé has been calling their office constantly and they are not calling back. So we have lost all faith with the knot. We will not sure them at all, and 3 pairs of our friends just got engaged, and we're letting them know not to use the knot. And we will continue to let everyone know. You can't become a huge business and forget about customers who got you here. Highly disappointed and social media can go far with negative reviews…

I was looking to receive additional exposure for my wedding photography business. Despite the hefty price tag each month, I was sold on having a "team" of people there to help me and properly advise me on how to best setup my page so I could engage the potential traffic as best possible. Unfortunately, you're given a hard-sell when they don't have your money; when they do, they give you a half-hearted effort.

I was told there would be two different sections of people reviewing my page before it went up to ensure it was optimized for presentation. There was a drop in communication. There was a need for me to follow up to get a response from this team. There was supposed to be a weekly or bi-weekly check in to see how I was doing and advise me on things I should change. Instead, you have somebody who calls you to say "Just checking how everything is going, oh and maybe you should change this one picture."

Half the problem is you're being sold on packages that dozens of others also purchase. A "Featured Vendor" spot is not really that great when you look how many others are also Featured Vendors. I absolutely believe in my work going above others in quality, but not only am I missing potential customers because of the sheer volume of Featured Vendors, I'm being undercut by average Joes who purchased a cheap SLR and charge a fraction of what the real professionals charge.

I received no real advisory. The team promise is an illusion. They're not just advising you- they're advising your competition to, so you can all fight for the same traffic. To pay $170 each month is beyond ludicrous. You get no lift over others, you share the First Page with people who pay less than you, and you share it with dozens of others in your market who were also suckered.

If you do try to cancel your contract at 6 months, beware- it will only cancel your Featured spot, but not your store front. Yes, you need to purchase a store front so you have something to feature. Ridiculous. Stay away, find somewhere else to put your money.
