Theknot.com is pretty overwhelming. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, this website makes it even more stressful because you realize all of the beautiful things that you cannot afford or have time to plan for your wedding. That said, it is a good source for all things wedding. And, I will be using their website for my wedding website, mainly because after looking at several sites, it was the prettiest, easiest, and allowed us to customize it to how we liked. For that it gets 4 stars. Thanks!
I had high hopes for The Knot as it seemed to be "the" place to go for a wedding website. However, my hopes were dashed. The Knot is only for those who have a lot of time to expend on navigating this bizarrely organized site. Not much is easy to do (not even registries/charities), and the customer service is nil. If you have time and enjoy piddling around a wedding site, go for it. But if you have a life, you may want to look elsewhere.
You cannot - I replete CANNOT trust the review on The Knot website. I recently reviewed my wedding photographer on their site. Shortly thereafter my review was disputed by the photographer and the review was taken down. It took about three weeks to get it back up after an extremely vigorous verification process. While I appreciate that they want review to be authentic, what I've learned from this experience is that you cannot trust the ratio of good to negative review on their site considering how easy it was for my "negative" review to be taken down and how difficult it was to get it put back up. I imagine whenever a vendor doesn't like a review (say, anything under 4 stars) they likely dispute it and cross their fingers that the reviewer is too lazy to go though the never ending process to ensure the reviews authenticity.
I joined the Knot a few weeks ago and the site was very easy to navigate through. I was able to set up my site, edit and change as much or less as needed to. I can't wait to finish adding to the pages.
I advertised with the knot for a year under contract. I received NO paying business from my advertising and the communication I did receive from inquiries was a complete waste of time. Customer service did a near 180 degree turn as soon as I was under contract for a year. This was a complete waste of $900. I would NOT recommend spending your money to advertise with them.
They have tons of vendors advertising in the same spot. I have been online advertising for nearly 20 years and theknot.com is the worst investment I ever made. Beware advertisers. It was nothing like before.
Everything from the articles to the message boards are phenomenal! I've been on the boards for over a year and keep going back to the boards for advice and support throughout my wedding planning process. Where else will 50 or more women, listen and give great feedback to you?
Do not use this service! I ordered $149.00 gift first of all they mark it up. Then I did not receive the shower gift. So I call their customer service number 4 time no answer and left a message it said they would call you back with in 24 hours they did not call back. So I emailed them 3 days later I received a email that said it had been delivered directly to her. I never asked to have it sent to her. So I called her and asked if she received it. She said I received a gift didn't know who it was from. They did not put a card in the box to say that the gift was from me.
TK is a really great place to go to get answers about your wedding. I love being able to talk to other brides in my area or even internationally about wedding related topics, as well as non wedding related topics. I have learned so much about everything related weddings: etiquette, DIY ideas, music, and how much to tip vendors! It's a great resource to have.
Three sweets cake creations did my wedding cake on 04/22/17 and it was absolutely beautiful and tasting amazing!
I always have her so cakes for my children's birthdays and anytime I need them and she does such a great job!

One of our friends used this site for their wedding. We booked our hotel room through the site and we were charged double the block rate. We've been trying to get in touch with someone from the site since we booked through them and we've reached out to every "customer support" option with no success.

Brides and mothers, think twice about using this site. I have been trying for 3 days to get a response from them without success. The only real person I could "chat" with was someone who said she could only help with the knot "shop" and not knot "services" and everything I asked was a problem for the "services ". The gift I contributed to was on sale on amazon prime day for $129 LESS than on the knot/amazon link. So items are apparently overpriced to begin with because had I gone directly to Amazon it listed at $159, not $199! I wanted to cancel the contribution and amazon wouldn't do it even though it was an amazon charge on my credit card. I have left phone messages and emails with the knot and they claim they will contact you in 24 to 48 hours and they have not contacted me by any means, neither phone, email, nor msg. If I ever have to buy a gift again and the recipient is registered with the knot I will look at the list and buy directly somewhere else.
I have used Marquis Florals by Kim before, I Never have to worry about the flowers, baskets etc…that we pick out. They are True Professionals and know their"stuff". Kim and her staff including her sister Joanne are a Pleasure to deal with. I would Absolutely use them again and recommend them highly.
*Attention anyone who has a contract with Wedding Wire*
If you're looking to cancel your contract early with Wedding Wire, you will not be able to do so. But in speaking with customer service, I learned that if you dispute the monthly charge with your credit card company, Wedding Wire will cancel your contract. You will not be charged for the remaining months in your contract. This is NOT something they tell you upfront. I found this out when they renewed my contract for another year... automatically! Save yourself some money, and dispute the charge with your credit card company now!

Vendors should think twice about advertising on The Knot. It is very expensive (around 5 grand per year for good placement) and they do not appreciate your business. I have experienced many problems... over billing that took nearly a year to fix (I was refunded over $2000 in over billings). Eighteen months after this my ad was deleted from the site after winning one of The Best of The Knot Awards. I was off the site for 4 weeks while they fixed the problem... less than 3 months after this my front page placement was goofed and they have dropped me to the back pages of the site and no longer marked me as winning The Best of The Knot yet they continued to charge me for front page placement. Not worth your time or effort to advertise on this site unless you love very poor service.
As a vendor I would not reccomend advertising on this site. I advertised with them for several years and at one time it was worth the price of advertising. However now they are not getting my company any business. I tried to cancel my contract with them and they would not even allow me to cancel. Are you kidding me. That is the respect that I get for advertising with you all of these years. Stay Away don't waste your money.
Sure wish I had looked here before I placed on order on 12/1. Great cyber Monday deals. Mine are still "processing" as well. Please please please look elsewhere before ordering anything from these people they are not relable and simply do not give a crap
I placed an order for numerous items and was assured that it would arrive in less than two weeks. After the two weeks had come and gone and the charge to my bank account had lapsed and not gone through I attempted numerous times to contact them about my order. They assured me I would have it in time, and that they would overnight it. Then they stopped responding. Next thing I know they start cancelling items from my order and then charge me $30 MORE after cancelling items. Tried to dispute it with my bank but I'm waiting for that to finalize. This company is awful, and nothing more than thieves. I made sure to let everyone I associate with know how awful this company is.
I made an account on theknot.com specifically to find venues in my area and to help me choose where to get married. Zero wedding venues in my town are listed on this website at all. Even when I searched with my zip code and city name on theknot website, only venues from 30+ miles away showed up. I did better research on my own! It was not difficult to find these wedding venues on my own through google search. I would think theknot staff could easily add them to their website - and if not, my guess is that it's probably because they want to charge the wedding venues an arm and a leg to advertise on their site - and to me that's bad business anyway. So this site was absolutely useless to me and I give it a 2 stars.

Do not hesitate to check out this venue for weddings, showers or any other special occasion in which you need a beautifully located venue. Oyster Point is picturesque from the outside thru the inside. The food is amazing the staff is incredible. The process of planning our event was effortless with the help of the Hotel Catering Manager Lauren who made it quite easy and very much anticipated, she was always there to answer our questions. Then the day of the event we had the pleasure of having Nicole as our Matre'd and she was the best. She was always there to make sure everything was exactly the way you wanted it. Do it!
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
