First off, Punta Gorda is a Tropical Paradise. It's a small town on the West Coast of Florida on one of the largest natural harbors in the state. They have a nice little marina, lots of inviting little shops that are reasonably priced, boat rentals, plenty of sight seeing tours and some of the best restaurants in the state.
The Wyvern is in the middle of it all. Our room was very large with an ocean view and we only paid $115 per night. Unbelievable!
Check-in was a breeze, the staff is super helpful, our room service and cleaning crew were outstanding. Parking isn't great because they're in the middle of several small businesses, but then, walking at night felt very safe. Apparently, Punta Gorda has some of the lowest crime rate in the state
