My first order was in 2022, when I got a Korg L380U piano. My initial hesitation and concerns fully fade away when this large and heavy instrument was delivered to Armenia in perfect condition. In 2024, I made two other orders including 2 guitars, 2 modeling amps and accessories, all in good packaging and in the quality as advertized. I'm blowed away by the excellence of my HB guitars - TE-62DB and SC 550ii! The only issue I had was a factory defect with the PG Spark Go amp in my last order. It failed to shift stereo/mono in the app and the phone socket only had mono output. Thomann's customer support helped me greately with the warranty related investigation process. As the return shipment from Armenia would be quite costly, they just offered me to keep the defective and shipped another one, new and fully functional. What a great example of an awsome customer care and support!
Caveat Emptor UK buyers beware. Although prices seem good value, when there is an issue and something has to be returned then it can turn into a nightmare. I bought a Marshall JVM combo through Thomann and it developed a fault on the board - confirmed by an amp tech here in the UK. It took nearly 3 months to get Thomann to accept a return and when they arranged a courier to collect it they had to ask me after if it had actually been collected. I supplied them with a photograph of the courier scanning the return label. There didn't seem to be any integrated information with the courier. They then said it could take up to 20 working days (a month) for it to arrive at their warehouse. I waited the 20 working days without any update only to be told after that in fact it had been lost in transit somewhere and they didn't know where it was. They would raise an investigation with the courier company and then revert back to me with a resolution. I'm still waiting for that resolution which they have already said won't involve a replacement. So in summary, they don't know where my Marshall is, they won't replace it, they have the money and I've been without an amp since February. Buyers beware.
I saw an item I liked at a competitive price, I contacted their BRASS customer service to inquire about the product and overseas warranty before placing the order for a Selmer Reference 54 Alto Sax (very expensive horn) - I NEVER RECEIVED A REPLY. No problem, I purchased the saxophone somewhere else. So why am I writing a negative review then? Because, if they do not even have the courtesy and professionalism to respond to a simple message, then, much less would they respond to a more serious matter (i. E. an overseas return from the USA) as so many others have mentioned. If you want to do business in the USA, at least kindly tell the brass section to have the courtesy to respond to potential customers. CJ (ps: Do NOT censure this post please, as I am taking a picture of it and posting in all social media to prove submission).
I bought a flute Prima thumbrest. It came without the adjustment screw or proper installation instructions for the silicon pad. I wrote asking for the screw size so I can buy it locally and asked which way around to install the pad.
The responded with a from letter asking for photographs of what they sent me BEFORE THEY WOULD DO ANYTHING.
THERE FOLLOWED MORE CORRESPONDENCE WHERE THEY WERE VERY RUDE, SAYING I WAS REFUSING TO COLLABORATE IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! - I never write reviews, so for me to do so, the service must have been really bad. All I can say is... "What an awful experience I have had ordering an instrument online from Thomann." HERE'S WHY: It took over a month and when I finally received the package... they had sent the WRONG INSTRUMENT (I found out later that it was due to mislabeling of their product). After receiving the wrong instrument, I had to go through the painful process of sending it back (getting shipping quotes, dealing with delayed customer service emails, taking several pictures of the shipping boxes/labels/instrument, and so much more). After sending back the instrument, I became even more frustrated to eventually get the news that they were "out of stock" on the instrument that I originally ordered. At this point I still haven't received my refund. MY ADVICE: Do not order from Thomann. Just pitiful service all around.

From 1st January, 2021 the UK has left the EU and single market and new trade regulations were introduced following the agreement reached between the EU and UK at the end of the transition period in December, 2020.
As a result, the UK prices on our website are VAT free (net price) and the VAT and handling fees (due to paperwork and customs) are paid to the courier on arrival. We have updated our product pages, shopping basket, checkout pages and shipping pages with this information and we also inform customers on the Order Confirmation emails sent once the order has been placed and prior to dispatch.

I've never put a guitar together, so ordered a Tele kit of thomann, decided to just varnish it, three or four coats and a bit of polish later looked good, right let's put it together, took a couple of hours, including coffee breaks, it all went together fairly easy including the electronic stuff, one screw had to be replaced with a slightly bigger one, but other then that no problems, all done I plugged it in, quite a lot of noise, I'll take of the bridge plate and check the earth lead one day, but strangely at full volume noise disappeared, so I'll just play on full volume haha, it don't take much setting up, and it does sound good, I'm very pleased with it and pleased an old git like me can build a playable guitar, if you want a fairly cheap guitar that's fairly easy to build, get one of these!

The worst customer services I have ever used. They are arrogant and take so long to resolve anything I really cant believe it. I am not exaggerating, my problem has gone on for months, they made big mistakes but did nothing to correct it, they refused returns without original disintegrated packaging that was so bad the product was damaged twice in the post. They accidentally gave me a refund and asked for it over a month later which was news to me. In that time I had been made redundant and didn't received my last 2 months wages and the money was gone, when I offered to send it back they was refusing to accept it, then they changed there mind but wouldn't take responsibility if the package was damaged when I had no packaging and ignoring the fact that the original packaging was useless in the first place. I am struggling to pay and I got some money together and I owe them £10. They gave me a grace period and then took it away threatening to take it to a debt collector! I will never ever use Thomann ever again. They don't show any empathy. Avoid these and use a UK company.

Very bad expirience with this company!
I buy i (try buy)! Some headphones ultrasone pro 900i i make order pay debit card found was immediately frozen at my Debit card, so my bank accept payment i think will be all ok and i get my headphones and next day someone from company write to me mail your order was cancel you must make new order and -pay bank transfer WTF? I pay already Debit card (my found still frozen at my debit card) so i call to my bank and they told me do not send any Bank Transfer to this company
3 days i write mails to real cancel my order and try get back my frozen founds to my debit card, card was Visa!
Problem is how many days i need to wait to get back my founds:/

I have just had the misfortune of order a Gibson guitar from Thomman, which arrived in perfect condition but was totally unplayable due to several problems from the manufacture. Thomman claim on their website that they check every guitar but when I asked they simply take a box off the shelf and ship it. I was told that for them to send me a new one as a replacement they would either need to have received the faulty one back or I would have to pay again. Understandable I suppose, so I paid again for another Gibson, after waiting for 4 days for delivery I checked the scheduled UPS date of delivery only to find out the Thomman had reversed the delivery as they claim that all Gibsons are like the first one I received so I wouldn't be happy. So when I asked if they could credit me for the second one (the first one was still in transit back to Thomman) I was told No they had to wait until the parcel they return before it even arrived at my home address would have to be received back before they would credit me.
Long story short. I chose another make and model and Thomman then agreed to set it up and ship it Express delivery. Which they claim they did. Now they tell me that something must have gone wrong with UPS (blame someone else) and it was on a standard delivery. So still I have no guitar.
Thomman used to be really slick, now I would really think twice about ordering from this company again. Terrible experience.

I have spent over 2 thousand euros withThomann over the last couple of years and by and large the service has been reasonable. However, you only really get to know a company when something goes wrong and you need some help. I recently Ordered a B stock LD Maui 5 go, listed as "may have some slight wear marks". It arrived with the control panel unattached to the body, all the screws were missing and the unit wouldn't charge the battery. Thomann told me I could send the unit back for them to assess. Before sending it back I looked at the feedback on repairs and found a significant number of people saying they sent the goods back using the label thomann sent them and the parcels mysteriously disappeared in transit. They were left with no goods and no refund. Some of these cases have been left unresolved for more than a year! What sort of company sends out products obviously not in a salable condition and then expects the customer to either spend months waiting on a resolution or risk the goods being reported as lost and being left with nothing. In order to be sure that I actually got some value for my hard earned money, I had the unit repaired at my own expense. Thomann haven't even offered a token payment to offset the cost and inconvenience. Is saving a few euro worth the risks of dealing with unscrupulous companies? I don't think so, I won't deal with them again. Before you buy, please have a look at the feedback from customers who have had issues, then decide for yourself

I know a lot of Music Dealer, like the Guitar center in L. A. or the House of Sound in Basel or Music Store in Cologne, but the Best of the Best is Thoman, and i will tell you why that is...
First of all, look wherever you want, you can not beat their sales prices because of their volume that they sell each single day, second is the knowledge of their employees, they just know what they doing, yes they are humans too, so of course they have good or bad days like anybody else,
But if you acting nice and friendly you will threaded the same way, usually i order the stuff that i need online because their location is just too far away to drive to them, but sure i went there a couple of time by myself to see the store, it is just huge, and absolutely worth the visit.
And the service is also very fast, last time i ordered by them it took them only 4 days to deliver it to me, and that includes custom too ( over the border, Germany - Swiss) still unbelivable to me.
And of course you can track your parcel online without a problem, and the always handle their goods nice and clean, and it will arrive in a very good condition.
So in my opinion Thoman is just the best Music dealer there is, online and as a real store in the real world, just go there and see for yourself.

Recently purchased a couple of items for the first time since Brexit, and have to say this company really doesn't like UK customers anymore.
Firstly, the items were supposed to be delivered within a few days, but after a week, nothing arrived, nor did I receive ANY notification from the delivery company.
It turns out that after a week, there was an outstanding customs charge (now due on ALL items from Thoman) that was unpaid.
The items simply sit in a delivery depot expecting the end user to chase them up for a delivery attempt.
Thomann's customer service were useless. I emailed them continuously over a two week period, and not only do they take two days to respond, but they simply refer you to pre printed information, rather than deal with you like a human being.
Needless to say even when I decided to refuse the items, they said that I needed to contact the couriers... so basically they wanted to do as little work as possible... but even when I DID contact the couriers, they said they couldn't do anything, they needed THOMAN to tell them to return the goods back to sender.
I'm STILL waiting after a whole month now for a refund.
