I can't believe how low the quality of these t-shirts is!
I had ordered from this shop previously and the quality was very good. This time, the fabric is very thin, smells funny, seams are unraveling and the t-shirt feels like it's going to fall apart after the first wash.
There is even a leftover bit from the original tag that they had ripped off from the t-shirt, before ironing on their own tag!
This is absolutely unacceptable. A t-shirt of this quality can be ordered from Chinese websites for less than 5$, including a custom print + shipping.
See the attached photo for comparison, the old, hi-quality t-shirt is the one with the blue bit. Notice the ripped off tag.
I am extremely disappointed, don't order from this website if you don't want to spend 20$ on something that is worth less 5$ and will quickly fall apart.
I ordered a hoodie through Artist Shops for one of my customers and it's not going to make it in time for Christmas. I ordered it 10 days before the shipping cut off date and its going to take 12 days to ship when it should have taken 2 to 5. That makes this order 18 days late. That is unacceptable. I am a new business that is trying to build a customer base. When they don't follow through with deadlines it affects my integrity as a business owner. Not only have they lied to me, they make me lie to my customers. They have also put my own lively hood at stake because I rely on income to be generated from this product. I lost money on this transaction. I reached out to customer service and it took them two days to get back to me. Then they said it was coming by Dec 28th! I responded to them very upset that this product will not arrive on time and they never responded back or apologized for it being late. Threadless should be ashamed offering this faulty product to business customers. Do better.
I purchased a shirt on Threadless that benefitted a non-profit organization. I ordered what I thought was my size based on their description and size chart. When I received the shirt, it was tiny and looked more like it would fit my toddler. I was confused because I thought I read the sizing correctly and chose this shirt based on that sizing. I emailed customer service and was amazed at how quickly they responded. They did say that the cut I ordered was more of a junior shirt (it should be called that online), but offered to send me a replacement shirt in my size very quickly. They took what could have been my first and last purchase with Threadless and turned it in to what will become repeat business. I am very impressed with their customer service!
LOVE this site - even if the "pre-paid customs shipping labels" sometimes don't work out right money-wise. Had to pay an extra £11 once for customs, even with the pre-paid label, but the shirts are a genuinely nice quality so you don't mind that much:)
Do what I did and wait til they offer free Internation P&P and spend a good few hundred dollars on tshirts - you won't regret it! Quality prints, nice unique designs and soft cotton shirts!
It's not worth it, at least not if you have to pay shipping extra costs. My sweatshirt didn't fit at all, even though the sizing details said it should. If you really must order Threadless clothes: One size larger, as soon as you are anywhere on the upper middle of the size's scale.
Its print also didn't look good, kinda grungy/ grainy. It's not disastrous or unrecognizable, but underwhelming.
The transparent sticker I ordered is supposed to have some text on it, but it is barely readable. The letters aren't complete.
Don't think I'd call Threadless complete garbage, but I definitely don't recommend it.
Received our T-Shirt today and the quality was just OK. Not as cool in person as it was on the website. Wanted to return it but on the invoice in Super Small Print. There is a NO RETURN POLICY. Can't believe in this online world of ours there is no way to return an item we are not satisfied with. I'll never purchase anything from Threadless again. You've been warned.
So I order 2 masks on May 3rd 2020 Today is July 9th 2020 and they just arrived. I the meantime I have had to buy others because they ones they give out at work make my face inch. They masks that arrived cost me 35 canadian (about 50 American) and they are small and have no nose clip at all! I would not order again very disappointed customer!
Hi Catherine,
Thanks for sharing your review, and we are very sorry the masks made your face itch! The masks are made of polyester with latex in the elastic as well, both of which some folks are allergic too. If the masks didn't work out for you for any reason, we'd be happy to replace or reimburse those items for you. If you haven't already, please email our support team at help@threadless.com. Keep in mind, our support team is backlogged a bit, but you can expect a response in 3 to 6 business days and we'll be more than happy to resolve this for you. Thanks again for sharing, and we're sorry your order experience was disappointing.
Ordered two 24x36 prints from Threadless for $65 each. The product description states that each print will have a 1" border. One print is great but the other print they sent me is just a 17x23 print on a 24x36 piece of paper, and on top of that the print is messed up at the top. Did I really pay an extra $30 over what they charge for an 18x24 print to receive an extra large border on a large piece of paper? I immediately contacted customer service via their website, and have received no reply in 4 days. On social media they respond saying "they'll look into it" and also do literally nothing about it. Their customer service is literally non-existent... if you're going to order from them, just understand that if anything is messed up, you will be left holding the bag.
Hello Pri,
Thanks for sharing your product experience with us, and we're sorry to hear you were disappointed with one of your prints. It looks like the additional border was added and intended in the design file, but we'd be more than happy to help get you something you'll be happy with. It looks like Kitty on our support team is working with you to help find a resolution. We definitely never want you or any of our customers left holding the bag on something they aren't happy with. We appreciate you reaching out and giving us a chance to make this right.
Trying to stay away from the dreaded Big A so I ordered $300 of Christmas gifts from Merriam-Webster website (supplied by Threadless.) Submitted order (and paid) on December 12. One shipment arrived on December 20, the second on December 24, and the third won't arrive until January 3, or 22 days after the order was placed (and, needless to say, well after Christmas.) Tracking updates (shipped w/DHL) were completely useless, such as "we don't have any information to give you." Threadless customer service was chirpy and inane, "hang in there, it'll be shipped soon!", again completely useless.
The products that have arrived have no consistent quality control whatsoever: a ladies small is the same as a ladies medium is the same as a child's large tee shirt; the hoodie had obviously already been washed and shrunk, leaving unremoveable sticker glue all over the fabric; the tote bags aren't cloth but are some kind of plastic-feeling "unwoven fabric". The mugs aren't here yet (those friends got a Christmas IOU) so who knows? Expectations are not high.
So much for trying to avoid Amazon. Guess I'll have to keep looking for independent vendors because I will never order from Threadless again.
Update: Contacted by Threadless customer service, who tell me I need to send them PHOTOS of the problematic items before they'll "make it right." Wow, talk about adding insult to injury. And their response to the slow and erratic shipping? "We've experienced delays due to high demand." High demand during the holidays. Who'd a thunk it?
Hello Jean,
We're sorry to hear about the trouble with your order. Unfortunately we have seen some shipping delays as a result of increased demand over the holidays and complications arising from the pandemic. We apologize that the shipments in your order were impacted.
We're always happy to work with you on any sizing or item trouble! Your hoody certainly shouldn't have arrived marked with sticker glue. We see you've been working with Amanda from our Shop Support Team on a resolution. They'll be reaching out again shortly to make things right!
If there was a zero star rating I would have selected that. I have been a long and loyal Threasless customer for over past 10 years... no more. I have just received my latest consignment of 6x mens tshirts and the quality of both the tshirt material and print is nothing short of appalling. The quality control has slipped enormously from even 18 months ago when I placed my last order... and the quality was already going downhill then. They literally look like $1 tshirts from a joke shop and are not fit for purpose. I would be embarrassed to wear them and have emailed demanding a full refund as I have literally been robbed on this order. After 10 years of loyal custom I say farewell to what once was a great little start-up company and is now just scam. Like a beautiful looking car with no engine under the bonnet.
I love this website since the first time I visited it. The concept itself, to promote self designed and unknown designers T-shirts, it's just amazing. The designs itselves are indeed great and fun. The price ist afordable as well. There's just a but and reason why I don't give 4 stars... Last time I tried to order the best T-shirt ever and my truly #1 fav, it never arrived, they re-send it, and still didn't arrive. So they gave me back the money (thank God), but seems I can't order from my address anymore... it feels kinda of banned. I ahve to use another address.
And my size runs out so fast!
I love it it taes a little while to get the goods all the way from the USA but it is worth it a few prints are not perfect but that is the charm of a hand printed T! I am sure they would have no problem returning things.
Ive found this site just recently whilst surfing and apparently its similar to other custom tshirt sites, nothing much pretty different i guess. But what i like bout this one, is that they have a permanent slogan for typetee competition. You can add a new slogan everyday for voting which takes place for a week, and if you get highest votes then you get $2500 cash + $500 for every print of that slogan tshirt +$200 cash or $500 voucher to use in store. So its really great for everyone who has a creative fun streak and can make a new slogan everyday and be in with a chance of winning fast easy money. Their slogan direct link is www.threadless.com/slogans
Go check it out... if youve got what it takes... :))
Ordered 2 pants and 3 t-shirts on May 13th. Now it is June 10th. And I have received only 1 pair of pants and 1 t-shirt. Customer service does not answer. And now am leaving the address where the order was supposed to be shipped. So I will never receive the products, even if by some miracle they arrive. Will customer service ever answer? Will I get reimbursed? To be continued but right now my advice is STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
Hi Anne-Catherine,
Thanks for sharing your order experience with us, and we're sorry to hear some of the items were delivered incorrectly. Julie Anna from our support team is reaching out to work with you to help find a resolution. I apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate you reaching out and giving us a chance to make this right.
I ordered a sticker. It took like a month to get here and they have it on this vinyl stuff, right? Well, unlike a regular sticker, between the material and the crappy perforations, it's basically impossible to peel off. I ended up having to peel off the sticker and the square of material surrounding it then tear off the excess along the perforation, going around the perimeter. The result was that my sticker was warped at the edges and now peels and has unfixable bumps around the perimeter. It's a $#*!ing sticker. It shouldn't be that $#*!ing hard.
I love the idea of community-based designs. Sometimes the runs are small and they run out quickly, but you can let them know your email address and be notified when they're back in stock again.
I'm a little sad seeing the negative reviews. I have ordered a few times from Threadless and have received t-shirts of pretty normal quality. If you do not wash the print like the instructions say, then yes, the print is going to crumble and peel. They post explicit instructions in the packing slip and on the t-shirt itself.
I also ordered my last t-shirts the wrong size, yay me! I contacted Threadless immediately. They responded promptly and professionally the very next day and replaced my products with speed.
Everyone upset about their return policy:
The shirts are printed for your size with the print you request. Contact them (politely, y'know, because they're humans too?), they respond. Don't sit at home and scream on the Internet.
Everyone upset about delivery:
I get my products in two-ish weeks time. About a week for the order process and printing, 5-ish BUSINESS days for shipping.
Most of the complaints and negative reviews I'm seeing appear to be a result from not reading what the website states.
I was a long time Threadless customer, over 10 years of purchases made. I loved their screen printing, and use of American made textiles. I especially would order a good amount yearly for Christmas gifts, it was my go to.
This year, the shirts that arrived were just horrible. Blurry screen printing, off center prints, peeling images, and seriously crappy tshirts.
After weeks of me having to send badgering emails, (the first reply which said the screen printing issues were due to the shirts having a "vintage/distressed look"... bull. A vintage shirt does not peel, and look like mush, and the extra fancy expensive soft tees, were crappy cheap shirts from China), I did end up getting a refund, and a chore of donating said shirts. What a complete waste.
Sure, I got my money back, BUT I had to find a bunch of gifts days before Christmas, I'm now assured this company is extremely wasteful, and I will never order again from somewhere I had ordered from for 10 years.
It's honestly a bummer. But, I would never suggest anyone purchase from them, and I feel bad that I suggested it to friends.
After 19 days, still getting nonsense replies to my queries about why I haven't received the shirts and why there is no indication on the tracking sites that the package was ever sent.
The quality of goods for the money spent was disgusting. I thought I was supporting a much needed movement and got taken big time.
Bad joss to all who support this travesty.
Answer: Hey Danielle, if you email our Artist Relations team at artist.help@threadless.com with your account information, we can look into this for you.
Answer: I bought clothing in July. I've been going back and forth through email with someone named Nick Etheridge. It's October and I still don't have what I paid for around $85. At this point I don't think I'll get a refund or the merchandise.
Answer: Having the same issue but it's been past 5 days and the super unprofessional support emails can basically say they don't care.
Answer: Threadless doesn't care about customer value, the marketing and constant sales really puts a hole in our pockets. While I feel they need to be sued
Threadless has a rating of 1.6 stars from 81 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Threadless most frequently mention and customer service. Threadless ranks 380th among T Shirts sites.
Hello Michelle,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! Because all of our products are made for you when you order, they do have a processing time in addition to shipping. Due to high demand over the holidays, our processing time is currently 3-8 business days, which we mention at checkout and in the confirmation email when you place your order. Shipping times depend on the method selected at checkout and demand on the postal network. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.
We see you've been working with Amanda from our Shop Support Team on a resolution. We'll be reaching out again shortly. Keep an eye out for an email reply!
