I enrolled in auto refill because of a discount offer of $5.00 per month. After signing up, I did not receive the discount. I added my credit card information and the offer "magically" disappeared. I called customer service and no less than 3 people hung up on me when I tried to get the issue resolved. Now, I am trying to get a refund for my entire service and disconnect my service. Please be careful with this company. They are extremely unprofessional. UPDATE: The problem has been solved. I was given what was previously promised and 2 months free service for the inconveniences. All is well. Thank you!

I've been with them for years and recently i had to get a new phone. After the upgrade I lost my data connection. The phone would show 4 to 5 bars but data mode showed disconnected. Customer service chat just gave me the runaround. Kept doing the same thing over and over. Don't sign up with these people. Service is poor and customer service is horrible.

For over three months I've been trying to resolve the problem that my phone can not connect to the towers (no data or text available) twelve different times I have called the customer service spending on average 2.5 hours each time and talk to up to five people each time because they escalated the case to a supposedly higher technical people.
At the end of the long wait and repeatedly turn off the phone, check the settings, reset the this and that, look for such network parameters they hang up while waiting for the last step that finally will solve the problem. Then I had to start all over again or they tell me that they will call back and when I answered they hang up. IT IS A SCAM.
You can hear on the background the chickens and dogs barking when I call.
Finally, I end up getting another service provider because I was fed up with the lack of response.
Tracfone SUCKS, they lie, incompetent, thieves. They stole over 3'ooo min. & days of service because they failed to activate my new phone that they provided.there isn't enough bad thing to say about them!
You can't reach them by phone. Brought up chat online there was no "send" button. Bought a 365 day +400 minutes card that won't add to the phone's minutes no matter which option we select, and then you can't reach them to rectify it to save your life.
Was with tracfone 6 years and purchased unlimited card, decided to auto pay, FIrst thing they do is disconnect your services so you lose all data. When you look on comments on tracfone they always give the same lousy number, They avoid all issues, Don't go with tracfone
I was just on a call with Tracfone. A customer service rep hung up on me. Prior to that, I had waited on chat for over 30 minutes before someone connected with me. One of the worst 'customer service' experiences I've had. The phone service itself may be good; certainly the monetary cost is good. But in my small sample, customer service is horrible. (The actual phone, which I bought through Amazon, had a problem; Amazon's customer service was Excellent.)
I have two Tracfones. Pros: I pay only $20 every three months for each, buying the cheapest card. I use wi-fi almost entirely for data, so don't need to pay for any above the minimum. After several years, with rollover, I have accumulated over three solid days of talk time on each phone. If I could stay awake, I could talk around the clock many times. The phones I bought from them are refurbished, very cheap, and work well. Cons: Their website is very basic, filled with urgings to buy plans and phones, and has gotten worse lately. I have a hard time navigating it. Their customer service is adequate when buying things and a bit less so when needing help. Bonus codes seem to be disappearing. Overall: Cheap, usable, probably not for heavy-duty phone users. (I have Mint Mobile for more major/vital use.) Still, four stars.

After many hours over many days of dealing with under trained representatives to switch my minutes & phone # to my new Tracfone l finally contacted the FCC. They sent a letter on my behalf to complain about their pathetic service. A representative from Tracfone corporate contacted me a day later & my minutes & # were switched. If anyone else is tired of the merry-go-round game, they are playing, the FCC # is *******322. The # for Tracfone corporate headquarters is *******169 Ext. 1120. Good luck!
We're a split household and neither house has a land line. I bought my son a TracFone so he could call his dad when he wanted to or call me when he wanted to without asking to use our phones. This phone... Not worth the money at all! It freezes up, shuts down randomly, will lose total service just sitting in one spot, etc. I'll be ditching it for something better. I do NOT recommend this if you're looking to have something available in cases of emergencies or if you're giving your children a way to reach out if they need to. Completely unreliable. Stores shouldn't even be selling it.

I've been a tracFone customer for years. Recently my phone stopped working and decided to switch carriers. After 4 calls to TracFone and almost 3 hours on the phone, they still won't let me port my number. They keep asking for me to use my defunct phone to get it done, or ask me for an account number that doesn't exist under My Account. Even though they sent a verification code ot my email, which I gave to them, they still wouldn't give me a transfer pin, except the one time they emailed one and ATT said it didn't work. When they conclude they can't port it, I ask for a supervisor or to escalate it, and they say they can't. If you ever think you might want to drop TracFone, switch to another phone carrier and keep your number, you'll be out of luck.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. My service dropped for no reason and the customer service lady basically got mad at me randomly even though I was being polite and ended the chat. Like lol who does that? I'm switching to Verizon. Tracfone has the WORST service and the WORST customer support out of any company. Thanks to them, I've just wasted my money, don't make the same mistake and go with a different company.
Trying to unlock a phone I've had active for over two years without interuption. Customer service is out of the Philippines and hard to understand. They will not listen just state what their computer says even though it is wrong. Will not transfer to supervisor or department to try to rectify problem with their data. I would find a different carrier for my caller needs. I absolutely would not recommend them and warn customers to stay away from them. Worst customer service I have ever experienced

Ok but it's sunset on June 12 2023. On June 9th the charge posted. Yet it says clearly on the order receipt that one will not be charged UNTIL it has shipped. Yet, they haven't even fulfilled/located and packaged the phone and the tracking number is blank/not shipped... Already annoyed and lied to but ok. I need a quick emergency phone, you don't know what people have going on. I ordered Thursday, a business day. It processed Friday a business day. It's still not shipped Monday today, a business day. Three days to send a phone, not to mention the days waiting for it to arrive, yet I've been charged. Watch me rip-rip that receipt and refuse to pay-pay.
Tracfone will consistently and randomly "lose" service, either data, texts or calls. To try to fix this, you will be placed on endless holds, get transferred from one unhelpful person to another, often calls will be dropped in these transfers and if the person cannot fix your service the phone will go silent and you will be expected to give up and hang up... Ive experienced this for a year. Im finally done... like I say... worst customer service ever...

I have bought two tracfones and have a phone that qualifies as a bring your own phone.
I have purchased a 1 year service plan from them with 1200 minutes.
They have failed to activate any of these 3 phones in a night mare that has been on going for over 2 months.
They win, I gave up and purchased a Go Phone which has worked first time.
Save your self a whole lot of grief and don't buy a Tracfone.
I had my phone hacked on Saturday lost my number. I contacted tracfone they transferred it back to me. But the minutes still gone after 4 calls a supervisor could see that I had missing minutes. They credited me 8000 saying that is all they could transfer in 24 hrs. They said will call back next day and credit more. They never called. I called them a few days later and the tech person kept saying they can't send me to a supervisor I called back they said the same thing this company is a terrible company as they have no way to track or see anything in your account. Not happy with this company.
Customers service sucks, most of their workers you can't understand they read the same script over and over. Not because of my fault, February 2022 all old tracphone service quit working. Instead of them send everyone new phones that would work customer service kept asking for a charge card number, why, phone free and shipping free. I was on the phone for over 4 hours either person. Chat. Or website. Not a service that I would recommend.

Over the past 10 years, I had accumulated over 13,000 rollover minutes, over 9,500 texts, and over 4GB of data. They disappeared. They offered me 30 days of unlimited as compensation.
I've just spent almost 3 hours on the phone explaining to four people, I was disconnected each time, what happened. They were belligerent, telling me that it could not have happened, essentially calling me a liar, repeating over and over and over that I had used up my balance. They looked at my recent usage, it was only a few calls and texts, yet they insisted that I had used up my 13,000 minutes and 9,500 texts.
The phone service works as advertised, but if you have a problem, they are worse than horrible..

The phone lasted about 9 months. The company gave me the run around for over two months about returning the old phone and then they'd send a new phone. It NEVER CAME. They kept saying it'll be there in 3-5 business days. I finally stopped calling and switched to a different company.

My phone is no longer supported by their system so they offered me a free phone. After spending countless hours on the phone (my landline) in Canada with various reps, repeating the problem over each time, the verification code to prove I was legitimate cannot be sent to Canada. All this for a $50 phone. Don't bother wasting your time!
I had Tracfone and everything was fine until the first of the year. Finally dragged out of them the fact that 5G and LTE service was updated and all past Sim Cards needed replacing. We purchased new cards and you could only Text but no calls and Data that failed. I tried over and over again but no one could come up with anything. I got cut off from their Tech support so many times it make my head swim. I left them and went to another company only to find they were on T-Mobile which is crap in the South so I went back to Tracfone to see if maybe coming back would make a difference. Even worse. They can't help you with the initial Rep so they try and transfer you to the next station of Tech Support only to drop your call every time. You can't get anywhere with these people since they can't even operate land lines!

Have been with Tracfone for over 25 years and things were OK. Lately customer service has gone down the tube, they are rude and inconsiderate. They are always trying to sell something you already have. Had over 6000 minutes and they wanted me to buy a card. They turned my phone off when they were supposed to be taking money from my account to pay the bill. They wanted to sell me another card to reinstate the phone and when I refused, they hung up on me. So much for customer service.
For 3 months now I've been trying to get a replacement Phone from TracFone to no avail. They have my broken phone and been giving me the round a round for 3 plus months. In my opinion everyone there is incompetent and fail to realize my problem. First they send my replacement phone to an incorrect address, Second they take up too much of your time over the phone without resolution,Third I reported them to the FCC and they still haven't resolved my issue. I wish I could put them out of business, they're customer service is below standard.
I paid automatically with a credit card for over 3 years.
They cancelled my service without notice, kept my 2,456 minutes and then told me I would have to reactivate my phone, buy another phone card and minutes to start over and only then would I be re-enrolled in the auto pay program.
This only 5 days past payment due date, and again, without any notice whatever.
I have no credit card changes to warrant this action.

I have been a Tracfone customer for several years. Although I had some issues, I stuck with them because it was the easy thing to do. Now I'm changing to Consumer Cellular. Here's why: some time ago, I had purchased 3GB of data as part of a plan Everything else went through, but the data did not. A tech support person figured the problem out. No harm, no foul. Flash forward to today. I purchased a plan with 8 GB of data last week. I don't stream or play music, so this should have lasted me for a while. At most, I generally use 2 or 3 GB a month. Today all the data was gone! The customer service representative said I must have used it all, but there is no way that happened. It was a $40 plan I had purchased especially for the data, so I was out a wad of money. I don't trust their data services to be reliable. Also, they don't track daily data use, so there was no way to prove my point. Consumer Cellular it is. Their plans look better anyway.
