The tips you gave me worked like a charm. Chase is actually a Labradoodle. 4 months, extremely intelligent, born and raised in a barn until I got him. He only had one accident in the house and was completely housebroken in 2 days. His buddy is a Maltese he loves to hump, and Charlie snaps at him every time and growls. I was told it's a status thing on who's dominant. Your tips worked great. Thank you so very much.
I would first like to thank you for the emails. I greatly appreciate them! Your approaches have helped me with King already. When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I'm not sure if that has worked or made a difference for anyone else but it truly did for me. Thank you for free tips and advice. I'd not be fortunate enough to have something like this otherwise.
It would only be a 1 if nothing you told us works, but it sounds like everything you told us is common sense and easy for us to do and should work.
Optimistic and hopeful is what I feel after talking to you.
Leave it should help. He's herding dog and we have to break to break or work with that instinct and we didn't know that about German Shepherds.
Absolutely do it! You'll get great ideas.
What i like most is that some of the challenges I find with Rocky are part of of the course and once I encounter the challenge I slowly teach Rocky what to do. For example, he was barking in the morning before I left for work and I had to go in front of him and show him it's okay and we have no any problem with whatever he was barking at. I did it twice and it didn't work but with time I'm hopeful he will learn. There is a long way to go and am ready for it...
I have found that the information you give me is very helpful I have shared it with the rest of the family so we are all consistent. We are trying to do what you have advised, we know it will take time to see how it works.
I was interested to know that what we are experiencing is call the evening rowdies. I'm not sure that what the trainer said is really going to help. It doesn't sound all that different from what we are doing, but she said it is a stage the dog is going through.
I was hoping for some wonderful and easy solution to our marking problem, but Sally didn't know much to do that we aren't doing. Talking to her did clarify that it is a marking behavior and she gave us permission to scold him for it.
Marking behavior he learned when we were in the process of moving.
We seem to be missing some important details for housetraining, so we talked about not walking around but staying in one spot and not waiting for 40 minutes for him to potty. We feel more confident this will work.
We learned about "leave it" which should really make life easier with our pug.
Thank you so very much for the emails I have received so far. I can assure you that they are very informative and I have so far learnt something very important. Am now looking forward to receiving more information from you so that my dog can be a very good pet. Thanking you in advance.
I used a search engine to find a site that offered suggestions on training puppies. I selected TrainPetDog based on the issues offered in the description. I received emails which addressed the issues I was needing to train my puppy. There were several different options that I could choose to assist me in the training. I was pleased that I could get good results by following the directions given in the reading material.
This was very interesting. I had never heard of the Bubble Theory of Dog Training and I think it is just what I need. I have worked with several trainers for this dog and nobody had an answer like this!
My dog is so reactive to other dogs and to people that I cannot walk him. I am anxious to start working on the Bubble Theory.
I am looking for a French bulldog and wanted to expand my experience before I adopted a puppy. I wanted to understand the basics of training a dog and I feel like this website has help me a lot. This will be my first time owning a puppy and I wanna make sure that I am taking full care of him. I wanted to know what the basics of training a dog and taking care of one was like and I feel like this book will deepen my knowledge.
This is a total scam. You give them money & they do nothing. A recording says someone will call you back, but they do NOT call you. Do not be fooled like I was. I believe this is a SCAM & they should not be allowed to sell online.
I have been very surprised about how I treat Moon Moon and how they were all wrong. The tips you send are very helpful and who does it for free these days? Only you. Thank you so much and best regards to all our Pomeranian loveys. I learned a lot.
We have been reading as much as possible about training before getting a Basenji. Some of the introductions we felt were a little tedious, but, on progressing more deeply, we find the course to be extremely informative and valuable. We shall now approach more confidently, the training of our dog.
So far I keep getting offered more and more things. Why do I need the digital if I ordered the printed version and the DVDs? I also opted out of the free trial for the club. Where do I go to cancel after the 30 days?
I just got a new Yorkie/ schnauzer mix and want to train her correctly. She is 9 weeks old.
To begin training my puppy correctly.
I found the training information reasonably beneficial. I found it hard to keep going as I didn't have the time to look at all the videos and the information tended to be a little difficult to follow without the videos or additional links that were supplied.
I need to get my dog socialized and under control before I take him on an airplane. Sally helped me realize all the things I need to do and teach him, but gave me ways to do it that I think I can do. I feel hopeful.
I learned about socializing my dog, teaching him "leave it" and "floor" and "no bite" and "heel" and "sit" and "stay." Whew! We are going to be busy.
I think it is a great service.
The last 3 days I've read and learnt things that explains dutches behaviour, for instance he's clingyness/biting etc. there are things I need to work on in order to train him in a way that caters and works best for him. So far so good, learnt heaps already as it's my first time owning a GSP.
This was excellent. I had tried and tried to get on a call, but I live on the West Coast and when the email comes in the middle of the night, all the slots are full by the time I get up and try to get a call. I finally got through and the advice was worth the wait!
Sally gave me some really good ideas for teaching her not to jump on me or anyone else and also helped with some other problems we were having.
Emily listens to my questions and gives me excellent feedback and excercises to work on.
She explains the different behaviors, sends me videos to watch and is always looking for updates on how her suggestions have worked out.
I need to distract my dog with treats etc so he won’t start barking at other dogs, scattering them on the ground to divert his attention which is working great.
The walks are so much more pleasant.
Absolutely
I have learnt so much about my dogs’ behavior, I feel I am in control and the dogs are much happier, too
Thank you so much for the imformative information. I am practicing your tips, and I am enjoying the success. I wish I had this information on hand 11 years ago when I got my first Maltese. All the factors you mention in the video, with regards to the attention seeking, I have experienced. It is very embarrassing. I am sure this time round, it's going to be different. Thank you. I am certain, I am going to have a well disciplined bundle of joy soon. It is working well so far. God bless you.
Nala is different then any dog ive ever had. She is loving and playful, but training her is different then other breeds. The information I have recieved TrainPetDog has been a great resource. We've came a long way in just a few days.
Thank you so much for your training course. I've learned so much just with the intro video and your first two lessons so far. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about my dogs until now. I can't express how excited I am about how much I've learned about Poms. I'm so glad I found you and your help so far. Thank you.
No matter what issue we are talking about, Emily has a great suggestion(s) to resolve the issue. She goes beyond to assist us in finding ways to get the behavior we want. P
Redirection of behavior for sure.
Absolutely as we are always running into behaviors we don’t know how to handle correctly. It is so convenient to make an appointment!
Emily was very informative in answering our questions about separation anxiety with Cece. She suggested several things we could try with her and we are doing that. This is evidently a common issue with the Havanese but we are hoping to control it. We really enjoy our sessions with Emily!
She highlighted the importance of puzzles using the Kong toys with treats in them etc. she isn’t particularly good driven but this seems to enjoy the puzzle things.
We would definitely advise them to join if they are new dog owners or have issues with their pet. It has been very helpful for us!
We really want to start our new puppy off right and we want her and our two-year-old to start of right and have a wonderful life together, so all the information you gave us will allow that to happen.
