The tips you gave me worked like a charm. Chase is actually a Labradoodle. 4 months, extremely intelligent, born and raised in a barn until I got him. He only had one accident in the house and was completely housebroken in 2 days. His buddy is a Maltese he loves to hump, and Charlie snaps at him every time and growls. I was told it's a status thing on who's dominant. Your tips worked great. Thank you so very much.
I would first like to thank you for the emails. I greatly appreciate them! Your approaches have helped me with King already. When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I'm not sure if that has worked or made a difference for anyone else but it truly did for me. Thank you for free tips and advice. I'd not be fortunate enough to have something like this otherwise.
I have a new puppy and want to make sure I am doing things right. Sally was very helpful and gave me pointers on things I didn't think to ask about as well as the ones I did.
Housebreaking and play biting
This was great! I learned how to finally completely potty train my dog and how to teach him not to pick up everything on a walk and how to quit barking at people who come to the house!
Potty training a one year old dog.
The name game and the potty advice.
Yes they should
It has been a challenge with a 6 month puppy who has the attention span of a flea. We are working with him for 10 minutes at a time. So far so good. Your tips have been excellent.
I haven't received my dog yet but in about 2 weeks time i will receive her. I am so glad for this now i can learn my puppy nicely and also whats is best for her and us

So far all I've done is print out the subjects that I was interested in but I would like to download the course and put it in my computer for later when she gets older and in case I ever get another dog it was very informative what I had read I learned not to give my dog chocolate she loves it but I guess I'll have to stop thank you so much for supplying a training course like this in depth l I checked out training classes and they were very expensive and wasn't as much of the depth as this course is
I have really enjoyed reading your information and it has taught me a lot on why my dog acts and does the things. I thank you and I look forward to more information from you.
She answered all my questions and gave me great tips for training
Associating one word while rewarding for 30 days
Very helpful tips on potty training and other ideas that I'm going to implement.
Using the turf potty training. Good for inside and outside.
I would recommend that they sign up. You need help like this with a new puppy!
I felt excited to have the correct help and direction with my precious little Flint.
Helping with the call or come command and the crate training with tiny bits of dry food reward. That is amazing and also has worked so far this morning on Flints little walk.
Its worth the money and time.
I had talked to Sally several times a year or so ago, so I wanted to talk to her in particular. Again, she was very helpful, so I have some things to try!
Separation anxiety
I get frustrated and can't maneuver the website. I can't figure out how to find videos I want or how to read other people's questions and see the answers.
His age can impact behavior and it's time to bring back the crate training.
His age can impact behavior and it's time to bring back the crate training.
Yes, although website can be hard to use.
This has been wonderful! Sally had such good ideas for helping my dog not to be so jealous of my new granddaughter I am babysitting.
Helping my dog not to compete with or be jealous of my new granddaughter I am babysitting.
Very nice call! Talking to Thomas was a very good lesson.
How to get my dog to not whine at night.
It was reassuring to talk to someone and realize I am expecting too much too soon. She also gave me pointers on how to train "stay" and how to get him to stop pulling on the leash.
We talked about stay, come, and walking on a leash.
I am not keen on the continuing requests to upgrade. I sincerely hope the original offer is as good as represented. My budget doesn't allow for the upgrades.
TrainPetDog is a very reliable and interesting site. Throughout my experience, their advice has been very helpful, and me and my dog enjoy the whole process. Thank you!
Getting to talk to a trainer who understands my dog's breed is a real plus for this website! I found the trainer to be very knowledgeable and helpful.
My newly adopted dog's barking. We discussed how she would use that barking in herding and how she is perhaps trying to get attention by barking. Then Sally explained how to teach her "quiet."
Yes, I think this is great.
Thank you so, so much. I am excited to try the new things I learned tonight and to share them with my husband and daughter so we can all work with Daisy on "heel" and "leave it."
Our Lab is lunging at other dogs on walks. I learned how to teach her to "heel" and "leave it" so she behaves better on walks.
I think it is a good program and I value getting to talk to a trainer.
The call was very much appreciated, and Thomas eased my worries.
Where my dog should be at for potty training.
Absolutely.
Nice to talk it through with someone who knows what they are doing. I was doing things halfway instead of all the way. I wasn't demonstrating the commands.
I learned that commands need to be demonstrated with the dog when you are teaching them like closing the dog's mouth for "no lick" or pulling the dog to the floor for "floor."
This was so helpful! I can't believe how we have approached things "all wrong" with our beagle. (We gave away the coonhound that this call was originally for.)
Sally helped me realize how I am the only one our Beagle really obeys and how he is alpha over everyone else. Her 4-H background gave me some insights into how the girls and my wife can change their interactions with him and help him learn to obey and respect them as alpha. We definitely have our work cut out for us, but Sally gave us good, easy-to-teach and use ideas and specific instructions.
This was tremendously helpful and the instructions were simple but to the point and will change our interactions with our dog.
It was good to get new ideas from a trainer who knew what they were doing.
How to help our dog burn off their energy.
Yeah, they should.
We have issues with our younger male Weimaraner and both felt that Sally was able to give us some things to try that sounded fairly easy to implement.
We talked a lot about both of our males jumping on us when excited and the younger one biting and nipping when excited. We learned how to teach "floor" and "no bite" and that it is okay to use a time out.
We are happy we talked to Sally. She gave us some ideas to help our dog warm up to the husband and how to curb the barking now that she has found her voice.
Teaching our dog "quiet" and "no bark."
Great strategies. We feel much more confident. Some of the things we have been doing are right and we feel confirmed for those and know how to change the ones that were not right.
Housetraining strategies, sleeping through the night.
Getting to talk to a trainer is a wonderful thing and the course is really good.
Helpful. I don't know a lot about my dog and felt she had had bad experiences previous to my having her. Sally gave me ideas for socializing her and helping her have better experiences.
Socialization - places to go, things to do and not to do
I am encouraged after talking with Sally about training my male Poodle. She also promised to help me with listing my puppies for sale and to give me ideas for training a service dog.
We talked about my rescue Poodle's fears, lack of potty training, and overall lack of attention and obedience. Sally outlined a training program that sounds very doable.
I've really enjoyed the call. Sally was great. She knew the dog breed and helped my understand my dog's behavior and gave me ideas of how to channel my dog's energy.
I learned about dog allergies and how to help my dog.
