The tips you gave me worked like a charm. Chase is actually a Labradoodle. 4 months, extremely intelligent, born and raised in a barn until I got him. He only had one accident in the house and was completely housebroken in 2 days. His buddy is a Maltese he loves to hump, and Charlie snaps at him every time and growls. I was told it's a status thing on who's dominant. Your tips worked great. Thank you so very much.
I would first like to thank you for the emails. I greatly appreciate them! Your approaches have helped me with King already. When he's jumping and I simply ignore his behavior, as you said, he stops within a very short amount of time. Also, praising him with just simply saying good has worked great. I'm not sure if that has worked or made a difference for anyone else but it truly did for me. Thank you for free tips and advice. I'd not be fortunate enough to have something like this otherwise.
I am so relieved to know that we can teach our daughter's Bernadoodle to walk on a leash without pulling us everywhere.
Walking on a leash without pulling.
You guys are super informative and although it's new I am using the tips and tricks shared for my little Soju!
I had no idea there was such a helpful service available to help me with my puppy. I loved talking to Sally and got so many tips and pointers.
We discussed housetraining, leave it, come, and sit.
Emily has been so helpful to me and Lily. We are doing scent training and she does scent training. She gives me lots of good ideas.
She thought it would be good for us to take time off from scent for the winter.
It is helpful for so many things concerning dogs and training.
Client feedback - "The call was quite helpful. Look forward to talking to you again soon"
Tips to help dog feel more comfortable in someone else's house. Provide ample space, time and distance. Keep the environment as neutral as possible
Helping with the fireworks tonight!
I enjoy talking to Sally because she has trained and taught agility, so she has lots of ideas for my training Lily in agility.
Getting Lily to do the A-frame and Dog Walk.
I love to talk to Sally since she has done all types of training and showing and I have bred and raised one breed and now I have another breed and am learning to train and we are having fun with agility and scent finding.
Picking up small dogs
Good, I was given lots of new ideas that I hadn't heard before to help with my young dog.
Using frozen food stuffed toys to assist in crate training and using the crate to help make her comfortable when in new settings.
Yes! It's helped me tremendously, I've trained before and this has introduced me to new ideas.
Thomas always gives me fantastic advice on everything I ask.
Dental health!
I am so happy a got a call from Sally because she has great ideas about the problems Lily is having in agility.
Lily running away when called; tooth pain; agility.
So glad to talk to Sally again since she taught agility and knows about my dog's fears.
How to get dog to do dog walk in agility.
Very helpful, would like to talk again. The trainer gave me lots of ideas to try with my puppy that I am anxious to try. She understood what I am going through.
Working with her on handling
This call was helpful. Thanks for helping me.
Fear in my tiny Havanese.
I really enjoyed talking with Sally and learning all she could tell me about feeding, pottty training, and general behavior.
We talked about feeding and potty training.
Great ideas! Very nice lady to talk to! Wonderful service that sets EliteDogClub apart from all other dog training websites!
Potty training, biting
I don't know if the things Sally said will work, but she is the first person I've talked to who seem to know anything about Shiba Inu, which was encouraging.
We talked about what to do with my young female and her aggressive behavior toward my male at mealtime. Sally told me to use commands and to set expectations and use time outs when expectations were not met.
My dog was terrible and knocked down curtains while I was trying to talk to Sally, so I had to hang up and ask Sally to email me what we were going to talk about.
Teaching my dog to go potty outdoors.
Have my dog come for treats without asking her to stay. Do that most and then add recall for adding tasks.
Would be a good idea.
I really appreciate all this good information - very helpful - I think these things will work great.
Biting, eating deer poop and her own poop, need a signal to go out to potty
So far, I have been very happy with the suggestions sent to me for free. Also, the free downloaded grooming ebook is fabulous!
I always feel better after talking to a trainer! The trainers are always helpful and provide amazing techniques to help with our pups
Always professional and pleasant to help with my training
I have my hands full with this pit bull mix rescue and was grateful to talk with Sally and get some good ideas.
I had no idea that the harness I was using wasn't affecting my dog at all and was actually telling her to just pull as much as she wanted. I will get a front-pull harness right away and start working on come and with me and leave it. I was using "leave it" but had not taught it to her so she had no idea what I was saying she should do.
Absolutely. Sally is really helpful and encouraging.
The training for Ace was very helpful and personable following the steps worked. I would recommend this book to both family and friends
Very glad to talk to Sally and learn of other dogs that have had similar obsessions and how she has worked with them.
I learned that I definitely need to work with my dog on his obsession with chasing and biting his tail and Sally gave me pointers including using calming treats and then using really good food and treats to get his mind off of it. She also suggested getting a trainer to come to the house to show us how to work with Domino - and I just hired a trainer today.
Tips are very good. Also very helpful. Havent had a baby puppy is years so I look forward. To the emails with tips.
We're on the right track with our training, a few tweaks are good. Making sure that we stay positive is a good idea.
We learned about the interactive toys, so we can stimulate her mentally. Rotating the toys are well is a good plan.
Yes, I would recommend it.
I learned I need to train when my dog is hungry. My expectations for a 13 1/2 week old puppy are too high.
We are doing a lot of things right, but expecting too much of our puppy.
We were so worried about our puppy with her shaking and crying in the crate. We feel much better and have a plan.
Crate training
This was ever so helpful. Sally had a bunch of ideas I had not tried and we will try all of them immediately!
CHEWING - how to get her to quit chewing our furniture - Sally suggested cutting a green stick and told us how to teach "leave it"
Thank you so much for calling me. This is my first pet and I want to do everything correctly. This was so helpful.
Potty training, biting, pulling on leash
I hate being asked to pay one price then have a million more ways to try and get more money out of me!
Was giving it a try!
Trying it out
Reassured that I'm doing the right things. Got more options to do with my dog. Learned some entertaining things as well as obedience.
Learned when to use her name - moving commands - and not to use her name - when not moving.
She covered all toics related to my questions and then followed up with some links to websites to help me find the products or a tutorial.
Reward the dog immediately when she goes to the bathroom outside
