Against better judgement of these reviews I booked a super cheap flight overseas with Travel Merry. I received my itinerary about a day after booking and everything looks kosher. I was able to confirm my flight with the airlines no problem. No unusual activity on my credit card either! So far so good! I will update if any issues arise!
I reported this bad company to FBI. They increased your flight tiket fare after purchase. I spent time to report this bad company to my card company too
THIS IS FAKE TRAVEL AGENCY! BEWARE- DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I used Kayak to book a flight, and it went to Travel Merry. How sad from there! I put in my credit card info and thought I had booked a great trip. Got an email that the reservation wasn't confirmed yet. Many hours later I called and got customer service somewhere far far away in another country. They could barely speak English, and said they couldn't confirm with the airline, but wanted to offer different flights and dates! How obnoxious! How disappointing! I've heard of these fake companies offering false fares and taking your money. They said they didn't charge the credit card, but now I have to watch that card for scam charges after reading endless bad reviews. It's amazing these companies exist that completely scam customers! Shut them down!
Booked a flight, paid! Then 14 hours later, they call and say the flight is full and they want to reschedule me. 10 hours later, multiple phone calls back and forth, I finally pay. Soon after, they call to ask for an additional $200+, they changed my airline and cannot negotiate for a lower rate; I ask them to cancel immediately and call the bank to reverse payment. 30 minutes later, I have a ticket after calling the airline directly - SUCH A WASTE OF PEOPLE'S TIME & RESOURCES! KEEP OFF FROM THESE SCAMMERS!

Do not, I repeat, do not under any circumstances book a flight with them. Not only do they advertise wrong prices, they also don't refund even though the airlines do due to Covid-19. When you talk to customer service you get the feeling they are just playing with you and making fun of you. If I knew how to sue and shut down that company I would do it immediately.
Please, everyone that got scammed and had/has issues go to "https://airconsumer.dot.gov/escomplaint/ConsumerForm.cfm" and file a complaint. Far too many people have been scammed and they need to be shut down asap!

So after reading all the reviews here and on the other websites as well about TravelMerry I decided Im gonna give it a try and put the tickets on my American Express.
Worst case scenario, Ill call AE and cancel the charges if things don't go through.
To my pleasant surprise I got a fantastic deal that was legit and Im very happy with the overall experience.
Here are some details:
- Bought two return tickets from Chicago to Hungary at $360 each (in September). Yes, you are reading it correctly. It was too good to be true but it was true. I checked with my airlines and they confirmed that both tickets are good (United Airlines + Austrian Airlines). Went to Hungary, came back with my wife, no problems at all.
Bottom line, if you are unsure like I was I'd say give it a try by using your credit card.
I travel internationally quite a bit so Im definitely going to use TravelMerry again.
My advice - if you are not sure if you can make the dates you originally booked then don't risk it with TravelMerry. But if you know your dates rock solid in advance go for it.

Booked, but tickets were not confirmed. Much higher price offered. Waste of time. Representative wasn't able to explain why it was posted at a different price.

I booked the flight for the good price $575 (just 4 days getaway). The confirmation popped up on their page: " it is in process and not confirmed". I started to worry. Next morning I received voice call with Indian accent which I literally did not understand. The only words were clear "call me back". It means that even the NAME OF THE COMPANY they can not pronounce clearly. Definitely I did not pay attention and did not call them back.
They did not text me, they did not email. When I called them to confirm my booking, it was too late, the flight I wanted was gone, they offered $1270 instead of $575 to spend for 4 days vacations and the time of new flights turned my vacation into 3days.
Two days of waisting my time and my nerves.
Some one here already wrote that they DO NOT LISTEN! Its correct, they talk parallel with you, they don't stop talking when client try to say something. Is it Indian culture?

This $#*! not company, the costumer service is $#*!... I bought this ticket and after 5days they calling me and tell the price ticket is up... I cancelled my tickets within the 24 hour period of time to qualify for full refund, but the team at TM deducted $100 from the total airfare. After a call to the customer service they tell me that the amount refunded from them was the right amount, it took me 15 minutes to explain and make the agent understand that there was a mistake from their end.
The total amount I paid for the Business class roundtrip and was charged a cancellation fee even though I paid the $ 15 optional 24 hour cancellation fee which entitles a customer to get refund without TM cancellation charges. The TM customer agent finally admitted that they made a mistake and apologized, although I got my overcharged $100 back, I was not too happy with this kind of a mistake from a travel site like TM, I'd expect the team at TM to not repeat such mistakes in the future. Also I would not expect such huge delays, please revamp your procedures and try to answer the customer proactively, I really fought with the agent to make him understand that it was their mistake. Another issue I faced was I didn't receive any kind of confirmation about the credit of the overcharged amount back into my account and they took 2 months to credit the amount that was wrongly charged.
The team at TM is slow to respond and half the time their toll free line is busy attending other customers. Come on Wake up TM, please give better service and don't let the customer suffer this way. I'm really pissed off with their bad service, only 2 stars rating for all this trouble.
They will send you an email with confirmation number after you book the ticket. After couple of days they will send you an email saying that the ticket price changed at the time of your booking and was not confirmed. TICKET WAS NOT BOOKED!
Absolutely atrocious customer service. Overcharged me for a ticket change by inventing a bogus "fare and tax difference" charge from the airline, but when they billed me they failed to itemize the charges. After 5 months of repeatedly asking by phone and email for an itemized bill, and them repeatedly promising they would provide it to me within 24-48 hours, they finally flat out refused to do so and at that point it became clear that the charge was a complete invention on their part. Indeed, the airline website shows no indication that any additional money was paid to it by TravelMerry.
Moreover, it is almost impossible to get connected to anybody with any level of intelligence there, and the communication is terrible. The entire company works out of India. Difficult to understand them, and phone calls are choppy. They will repeatedly promise to respond within 24 hours, and then they never do. Each time one calls one has to explain everything all over again. Even their "senior staff" are inept... no better than their regular staff. They have an "escalations" department but it's just as inept as their regular customer service line.
Avoid this company like the plague. When things go well with your reservation, it's fine. But as soon as there is the slightest complication, TravelMerry will use it as an opportunity to extract more money from you.
We placed the order on the travelmerry website April 21 as below, where we selected economy class tickets. We deliberately chose the higher-priced economy tickets rather than basic economy because we are fully aware of the restrictive limitations of the basic economy tickets.
One of your agents called shortly after and said they were struggling to book the flights we ordered and asked if an alternative time would work, which we said wouldn't. They said they would see what they could do.
Not long after that, the confirmation came through for the originally requested times. At no time was any change of ticket class discussed.
We then loaded up our flights on the United app last week to find that our tickets had been reserved as basic economy, which are $200 per person less valuable than the tickets we ordered. We tried to resolve this over the phone but was told that we would have to pay this difference - not acceptable.
I am deeply disappointed at this misrepresentation of goods sold from the company and their deceptive sales practices.

They were lowest price tickets! So I purchased my ticket. 30 min later they call and said they had issue with my credit card and needed more information. I 3 way called credit card company and my credit card confirmed that they already approved the ticket purchase, then TravelMerry started back peddling the reason for their call. So after TM confirmed that they received everything they needed, they then called me back another 45 min later to say they needed another $300 as the airfare went up! I told them to cancel the purchase all together and now I need to wait 3 days to make sure they release the INITIAL APPROVED CHARGE!
THIS CROOK OF A COMPANY SHOULDN'T BE IN BUSINESS. THEY HAVE REFUSED TO ISSUE ME A FULL REFUND FOR I FLIGHT I CANNOT GO ON DUE TO COVID. THEY ALSO TRIED TO CHARGE ME $150 PER PERSON TO RECEIVE MY MONEY. RIDICULOUS.
I purchased tickets in Feb 2020 to fly to Switzerland to ski. Lufthansa canceled the flight. I've been tryin to get a refund from Travel Merry since Mar. 2020, five months ago. Still getting double talk. The Atlanta BBB was no help. AVOID TRAVEL MWRRY AT ALL COSTS!

Obviously, the website showed the least price among the possible options and after the purchase was made, I got an email mentioning: " Your Booking is being processed, But there seems to a problem with your Payments. Kindly Call us on *******865 to confirm your payments"
I tried reaching them multiple times, but none lifts the damn call. Finally after multiple attempts, I was able to speak to a representative and this is after 5 hours of booking. The person on phone said that the booking might get processed by the end of that day, so I decided to wait. I called them back again after literally 20hours and what I get to hear is that the seat is that the reservation is still not processed. I decided to speak with the manager and after a 2-hour wait I got a call from the manager(who was outright rude btw). After 22 hours of waiting and my credit card transaction stuck with them, what I get to hear is that they were always aware that the ticket won't be available and they just kept my reservation on hold so that in-case someone cancels their ticket & airline offers the same price again. Seriously?
Obviously, during this waiting period, the tickets prices have gone up and now I have to pay double the charge.
Lesson learned! Never ever I am gonna book with them again.

My flight was cancelled and they told me to call them immediately, I did and no one was able to find information about the flight or give me options. I had to call 3 times till then someone checked online and saw the flight is cancelled by the airline. When you call them there is always background noise and sound is very bad, is very difficult to understand them by phone and they don't reply emails. Once confirmed my flight was cancelled they told me it was the airline cancelling all flights to that city because of COVID and they asked me to wait for 24h to let them find other options. After 24h nobody calls, so you have to call again, several times because nobody there knows how to find information, so after 48h I talked with someone that told me they didn't have options so the best was to ask for a refund (and a pay $100 fee for the service, which doesn't exist!). I asked then the refund, it has been 1 week since I asked to process the refund and they haven't even confirmed this yet. So still, calling them almost every day till someone confirms I am getting a refund.
Don't ever use them. No phone call has been returned. Big issue with the spelling mistake on the ticket, went from bad to worse.
I thought I would chime in here to help others make educated decisions when buying from Travel Merry.
I bought a ticket via TravelMerry recently that clearly stated that one check-in bag was allowed per adult. I was surprised to find later that the ticket did not allow any baggage. Thankfully, I had taken a screenshot of the page before checkout and thought everything would be taken care of.
Boy, was I surprised. They refused to honor what their website said. They told me there were two ** near it that indicated no luggage. However, nowhere on the checkout page or the T&C (which I read) did it tell me what the ** meant. I thought it was supposed to link to somewhere that showed the weight allowed, or some kind of error. At the end of the day, it said check-in baggage: pc/adult and that's all I cared about.
I had double checked with the airline to make sure that economy got 1 bag, so I thought I had crossed my t's and dotted my i's. Unfortunately it turns out despite being labeled on the website as an economy ticket, they were trying to sell me an economy light ticket under the guise of a regular economy ticket. Once again, I had screenshots to prove this.
Think they were willing to give me the baggage? Nope. Think they were willing to give me a refund? Nope again.
After probably 20 emails back and forth and an hour or two on the phone, despite them admitting they understood why someone might be confused by their unclear (that's a kind word - scummy?) practices, they could do nothing for me, even when presented with definitive proof.
They ripped me off for $120 worth of baggage fees. Daylight robbery.
Never book with Travel Merry. I tried to book two tickets to Ireland last year. They were going to be pretty cheap, so it made sense to gamble with a weird site. They confirmed ONLY ONE ticket. I called to find out what happened to the other and they said it would confirm soon. Just over 24 hours later, I got an email saying the second was CANCELLED. When I called, they said it would cost TWICE THE FLIGHT COST to cancel the ticket and about the same to book the second ticket for my wife. So I had the choice of flying separately from my wife or pay double the advertised price. Thank goodness Chase agreed it was FRAUD and withdrew the charge. Over a year later, I started getting harassed by TravelMerry about cancelling their charge by people who are misrepresenting what happened, as if I just wanted to add on a ticket.
SO, book Travel Merry if you want to NOT get the flight and then have them try to get you to pay Double for flights, and then harass you. That is the Travel Merry business model.

Travel Merry has always been my first choice to buy cheap flights to my favorite destinations. I usually take a vacation break every summer season as this is the time when my little kids have time to come out on a holiday. Our favorite hangout is Europe and I like traveling to Europe because it has some of the best holiday getaways in the world. Whether it's a beach vacation, romantic getaway, or any other leisure trip I've always relied on Travel Merry for its awesome customer service and great travel deals at affordable prices. Whenever I book my tickets with TM I always buy their 24-hour cancellation policy that allows customers to cancel the already booked tickets without any cancellation fees in case they change their mind. I advice travelers to opt for this 24 hour policy as it can really benefit you in case you intend to cancel your flights in 24 hours time with no extra charges from TM, travelers who don't opt for this policy will end up incurring $150 as the cancellation fees apart from the airline fee for cancellation that you would be paying. Currently the 24-hour policy can be purchased for just $15 and TM even promises their lowest fare guarantee if there is a price drop in the booked fare, this means that you can expect a partial refund of the difference in the airfares if a lower airfare to your destination exists. I opted for it during my last 3 transactions and I got a partial refund of $150 in my most recent flight booking which was a roundtrip flight for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children) to London because TM had a lower fare for my booking. The $150 savings I made really made a big difference for me and I recommend customers to always buy the 24-hour cancellation policy that can come in handy in more than just one way.
Travel Merry helped me overcome a very troubled situation, I'm really happy about buying my tickets on TravelMerry mainly for this one reason and in the future I will come back again to TM to buy my tickets. I had a problem with my seat that has been allocated to me by the airline agent at the check-out, I wasn't happy with the middle seat that was offered and the agent refused to offer me a window seat in spite of repeated requests from my end, the agent said that all the seats in the economy cabin were already allocated and he was helpless. I asked the agent at the checkout to put me on hold and I called the customer service team of Travel Merry immediately to get the problem solved. I almost shouted at the Travel Merry agent as I explained about my problem to him and I told him that in the future I would not buy tickets from TM if I don't get my preferred seat.
The agent addressed my issue very quickly and promptly and assured me that he would do his best to get me the window seat of my choice. Just in 5 minutes time the Travel Merry customer agent calls me to congratulate that my seat has been upgraded to premium economy at no extra cost. I was overwhelmed with happiness and I thanked the agent for putting in his best efforts, the agent simply told me that he expressed my dissatisfaction with the airline and put pressure on the airline staff to give a best solution and this action resulted in a seat upgrade from the airline.
I give the credit to the customer service team at Travel Merry, this is too good and I will give 5 stars to you for helping me have the best flying experience on premium economy at no extra cost.
