I bought a deal form a restaurant in Chicago that went south. The customer service team at travelzoo were really helpful and made things right for me. I would recommend them without hesitation. Awesome!
I am a victim of the UTO company scam. They got me for $1394.00 for a trip I booked on December 20,2021. The trip was an 11 day Yangtze Spree. The trip was cancelled due to COVID and I received a credit which has a cancellation date of September 27,2024. I've been unable to book since that time because of lack of availability or exorbitant travel fees. Please let me know if someone is considering a class action! I'm located in Delaware.
Bought a voucher for my fiance's birthday. It seems if you're organised and buy far in advance you cannot refund the voucher. We turned up to the hotel which was not how I imagined it to be, tried a different room, the meals included were just roasts etc etc not worth the money spent. Spoke to the hotel manager, he was understanding said we could apply for a refund but would have to go through travelzoo. After waiting a week for travelzoo to get back to me I had to call again for them to say they'd email again. Finally said I'd bought the voucher months ago so there was no option for a refund. The whole point of using travelzoo was to save money and in the end I spent double because we had to go to another hotel last minute. Work on your refund policy travelzoo its appalling!

Check out the hotel thoroughly before buying. Make sure you won't need the option to refund :(
If I could give this site no star I would. Customer service is worthless. This place is a rip off. It's not even worth buying anything on here just to save money because you will end up spending more than you intend and the headache is just not worth it. Stay away. I've blocked them from my email list. I am a big online buyer but this site is definitely not worth it

My first experience with Travelzoo and my last. I tried to get a $15 refund for a voucher that we never received because of an invalid email address. Could not contact them because they are not open on weekends so had to pay full price instead. Was told since I was outside of the 7 day refund limit, I would not be refunded. Seemed for a first time customer, and for $15 unused voucher, that you verified I never received, you might make an exception, apparently not. I will continue to use living social and groupon as they are a lot more flexible with refunds and appreciate my business.

I'm really happy to get updates from Travelzoo.com about super discount deals on lodging deals. They cover all of area for a couple of hundred miles in any direction, and so always have an interesting mix of options, from budget to "Once in a lifetime." And there seem to always be companion deals on meals or specials features and experiences in the same area. Super easy to plan a quick weekend or midweek trip to enjoy with my wife.
My son and daughter in law bought my partner a voucher as a Christmas gift for a Gin and tonic afternoon tea for two at The Old Palace hotel in Lincoln near the cathedral and castle. For one reason or another we have only just been able to use this after being told by the venue that their offer had been extended. We arrived a bit earlier than we had booked, and were shown straight to our table. The waitress was very pleasant. The food was tasty, choice of flavours of teas, and choice of flavour with gin and tonic. Surroundings very plush with view through big windows of the city. An enjoyable visit. We decided we will return sometime to stay at the hotel and to be able to have a look around the area. Well done Travel Zoo on choice of hotel.

The Inn at Mystic needs some serious updating. Avoid at all costs room 229 and its
Bathroom. Ground in discoloration on tub floor and back spots around the tile that
Lined the bathtub. Horrible! The room itself was large but the interior needs
Serious attention. Curtains especially. The gratis breakfast was fine and the attached
Restaurant very good, but it must be a different owner.

This website offers many interesting places to visit, entertainment shows an restaurant discounts. I have used this website many times and always very pleased with the outcomes of my choices. Last night I saw a very funny comedian along with a terrific magician. Securing tickets is just downloading the information along with the tickets. I would recommend this site to others - and have done so with my Las Vegas friends. Thank you for offering these services- and making my life enjoyable.
Bought a voucher to give as Christmas gift to friend and within hours, spoke to him and realized that it was in the wrong place and wrong experience. I immediately sent email to their customer service site asking for refund. Did not hear back, so called and was told no refund possible because it was date/event specific... not what it said. It said many dates available. Was also told it was non-refundable and it was "in the small print"... which is hidden... I offered to take credit rather than refund and was declined. I had lengthy email correspondence and no flexibility. Although not outright fraud, this is very poor public relations and customer service. I'll "eat" my $150 and never use them again.

Fablulous B&B in this wonderful National Park in Croatia. Beautifully furnished to meet all needs with a great breakfast and good evening meal, on request. Our host could not have been more caring and ensured we had every thing we needed for an enjoyable stay.

A person called Rahul scams you by telling a false deal with a heading paper, will send you an email to cool you down. Then rip out your account unless you're ready! However, I've already reported travelzoo are frauds in day lights. Get away from them!.

We have just returned from a delightful evening at such a great restaurant. Everything hits the right note starting with splendid cocktails. Chicken parfait with fig chutney a very good but not overwhelming starter, lamb was pink and tender. Fortunately we were not overfeed as it would have been crime to miss out on plum crumble with ginger ice-cream.
All in an impressive new restaurant with such nice, pleasant staff.

Wasted > £100 on a Christmas present for my neice. Purchased spa vouchers making sure they were valid for weekends as well as week days as we are only able to go on weekends. Also made sure they had a reasonable expiry date - end of March. Just attempted to book the treatments/lunch and venue curtly informs us there is no weekend availability at all before the expiry. So we have 3 useless vouchers that can not be redeemed. Emailed travelzoo - no reply.

Horrible Experience - hidden charges and no drop off or shuttle for early flights. The worst part -is they told us to drop off "around back" at 4:30am it was dark and 25 degrees. We had to walk around the facility to the front and wait in the cold for a Lyft. The resolution was I "should have read the website policy closer". Unacceptable, knowing that our safety was not taken seriously is really terrible. Hours should revolve around flight times. Enterprise and Avis were up and running with shuttles, use them!

Paid for my son and his partner to have a meal at the Ritz as a Xmas present. He decided it wasn't for him, even though it was after the 14 day cancellation period I rang Travelzoo, bit shocked to find out it is an American company. You are told you will only be charged at UK rate. Wow, what customer service, I was refunded the full amount of the deal. The lady I spoke to was amazing. Its a shame some of our English call centres don't have the same attitude. I have bought from them before but never had to contact them, don't be afraid of using this company their customer service is second to none.

My partner purchased a restaurant voucher as a gift to be booked for our anniversary. Having been very careful to check the terms of use and validity of the voucher to make sure the expiry date was well after our intended booking date. We have gone to book the meal only to find that the restaurant has closed down without any warning. Now I seem to be unable to get any kind of response from Travelzoo using any of the usual communication methods. Their call back service is a farce (they don't call you back), when you hold on the phone you are in an endless queue that repeats there are an unspecified number of callers in front of you, they don't reply to emails, tweets or facebook posts/private messages.
I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the situation and the service. They appear only too happy to take your money, but offer no after care whatsoever!

I think I have been ripped off! I got a voucher for a weekend break in the Lakes and cant book it as the only dates they have are nights in the middle of the week and not with my dog which was why the voucher was booked in the first place.
Spoke to Brian at Travelzoo and his suggestion was "sell the voucher on ebay" Brilliant!

I could not be more frustrated. Purchased a voucher from travelzoo for a Christmas present, family getaway. The location was not available for a month of weekends, the voucher had an expiry date. Bottom line, lots of vouchers sold for a few cottages for a limited time period. At this point I am out almost $500.00 and have been put on hold for long periods of time as well as had to speak with an abrupt travelzoo rep. In fairness the supervisor I next talked with was pleasant but still no satisfaction. Strong warning watch refund policy and expiry date. Bottom line, I wouldn't buy a travelzoo voucher again.

I bought a local deal (Fandango middleman company called Digital Doorstep) and the company went bankrupt. I paid $24. Travelzoo refused to offer a refund or even a credit but instead offered me 2 $10 vouchers in recognition of me being a "good customer". Rep specifically said it was not a refund or credit for them selling me a product from a bankrupt and defunct company. And, again, it was $4 less than what I paid Travelzoo.
I guess if I were them and I wanted to retain a customer I would have done better than what they ended up doing, but at least they did something.
I bought three vouchers from Travelzoo in January for photobooks. I was unable to use them before they expired as the company they used had a software issue and although they agreed I could send the photos direct I have heard nothing for over 5 weeks. Travelzoo just say it's nothing to do with them!

We had a wonderful two night stay at The New Hobbit which was great Travelzoo value! The food was excellent and staff very friendly. The room was comfortable with a magnificent view. There was ample parking and a decking area to enjoy a drink while catching the sunset. The location is great for the views and close to the moors for walking. Its a steep and sometimes winding road to reach the hotel from Sowerby Bridge but it can be approached from the top road which is less challenging.
Thank you to everyone who shared their horrid experiences with Travelzoo. Was considering booking a trip to Japan with then. It seemed too cheap so I decided to check the reviews. Thank goodness I did. As. Senior, I can I'll afford to lose the money is suffer the aggravation. It costs more to go with Road Scolar but at least they are honest & take good care of their clients

Great discount, good collection of event reviews and information, fast and easy purchase and the tickets were in my email right away. I went to the Mummies of the World exhibit at the Bower Museum and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend using Travelzoo's services!
Ordered $79 of wine and was charged sales tax on $180. They said our policy is to charge tax on the full retail value. Not a ton of money but when I tried to cancel the order they refused. Writing a letter to the secretary of state for their deceptive business practices

We were bought a Michelin 8 course tasting menu as a Christmas gift. We thought that this would be valid for a year but in the small print apparently it expired in May. Having just realised this we contacted Travelzoo and offered to pay a supplement to extend the expiry date.
They refused to do this. Don't know why. They have been paid so does it matter when we claim our tasting experience?
So the Restaurant does not get our business... we do not get our experience... and Travelzoo GET TO KEEP £180.00! Outrageous
