I bought a deal form a restaurant in Chicago that went south. The customer service team at travelzoo were really helpful and made things right for me. I would recommend them without hesitation. Awesome!
I am a victim of the UTO company scam. They got me for $1394.00 for a trip I booked on December 20,2021. The trip was an 11 day Yangtze Spree. The trip was cancelled due to COVID and I received a credit which has a cancellation date of September 27,2024. I've been unable to book since that time because of lack of availability or exorbitant travel fees. Please let me know if someone is considering a class action! I'm located in Delaware.
We booked a fantastic hotel at Travelzoo at a great deal! Stayed three nights and room was luxurious and comfortable! Staff very friendly and helpful. Smaller pool and jacuzzi. Great restaurant and bakery too!
We booked a hotel to Cancun through Travel Zoo. Getting a flight there is difficult and will take longer than we thought it would so we decided to extend the stay to make up for lost travel time. You can only reach your booking agent by email. You cannot extend the stay with the hotel, they refer you back to Travel Zoo. Booking agent. Has not responded. I cannot recommend using Travel Zoo. Best to book yourself or use your local Trsvel Agent.

Horrible company. I bought a restaurant voucher but the restaurant wouldn't honor it. I contacted Travelzoo for a refund but they refused! I am disputing the charges with my credit card company and if not successful I am taking them to small claims court. I will never deal with these crooks again.
I purchased tickets to a concert and was sent tickets to a different concert in a different state. After contacting them immediately, they say they can do nothing.
I confirmed the date and location of the concert before purchasing.
Unbelievably bad company. I will never trust them again, and I am out $80. Horrible.

This restaurant has changed owners and sadly the quality of the food was not great. The original restaurant owners had a wonderful food but we were sadly disappointed by the food we received. I would not like to return to this restaurant. The staff were relatively friendly.

I looked at an ad I saw online and it was required that I give my address just to see the ad. Since that day, I'm getting about 30 extra junk mails a day. From 3 a day to over 30 a day. They're prostitutes.

Reading the other reviews makes me wonder...
I've used TZ for a few things locally and even used them for a travel package and have never experienced the 'horror' stories some reviewers are leaving.
Every promise made and voucher used has been honored without any problems whatsoever.
Thus, I am leaving them a good and positive review, but, based on what other info that I'm reading, I'll certainly use prudence when booking my next adventure.
Obviously, you should to.
What I am impressed with is that TZ has responded to each negative review here with a follow up response...
Candidly, a 'shady' business isn't likely to respond in any fashion.
So, in my multiple experiences with TZ, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them at all.

The Copacabana is a family run business in Skala, Agistri, Greece. They have rooms with views of the beach and mountains. Their food is the absolute best, it is all homemade with the most amazing desserts, even the sauces for the desserts are home made! See them on Facebook. They are lovely people who make you feel like part of the family and people return again and again.The island is small and unspoiled and most of the restaurants and bars are linked by family. I have been many times and wish I could get there more frequently.The island is reached by ferry from Piraeus harbour, Athens.It has a nightclub but the bars and restaurants provide the evening entertainment.If you want beautiful scenery, fabulous food and the most friendly of greetings, this is for you.The beaches are beautiful, the sunsets are amazing and the food fantastic, what more could you want?

I booked two flights (last year) for two different dates/places (in one payment). I got to the airport on the first trip and I was told that there was not a booking under my name. Never was reimbursed and the same thing happened when I went to take my 2nd trip (yes, I tried to cancel with no avail for the 2nd one). After trying repeatedly, I was told that they offered no reimbursement and that I was the one that was wrong (said I chose the wrong date). I had even forwarded the confirmation email that I received two days after booking (and not knowing there was a problem) and calling repeatedly and emailing as well. I lost 500 bucks. Lesson learned and I spread the word to everyone I knew and still do.

Buyer beware! I have had multiple incidents where I did not check the fine print before purchasing vouchers through Travelzoo Local. Two, totaling $50, were lost due to short expiration windows. The third was the worst. The language on the purchase of a Loews Portofino Mandara Spa offer led my mother-in-law and I to believe we would pay $99 for both a massage and a facial. We found out a check-out that we had to pay for one of the services. Between the two of us, this was a $450 mistake (in addition to the $198 we paid for the vouchers.) I contacted Travelzoo Local about this and was offered a $5 voucher for a future purchase. It's our fault for not reading the vouchers properly before purchase. I just want to warn others to read the fine print carefully or you will be sorry.

Needed to escpate locally for one night to get business project done. TZ advertised LUXURY boutique hotel room normally priced $1019 for $189 as a "last minute" deal I booked after 9 pm for same night stay. Upon arrival, the normal rack rate was less than discounted price. Just went on again today and same room TZ advertizes discounted to $549. If you go to hotel site that same room is $182. Intentionally misleading. The hotel was NOT a luxury hotel and no sane person would spend $1000 to stay there. Feel completely duped and will NEVER use their site again.

I generally find Travelzoo's offerings to be useful, but they must stop recommending UTO Vacations. There are many complaints with BBB and other sites from customers who were unable to complete a trip (some UTO cancelled) and UTO doesn't follow their own terms and conditions and refuses to give refunds. I booked a trip to Greece for April 22 back in November 2020. After I made the final payment, they told me that the date was no longer available, the trip would cost more and we would have to sign waivers assuming all risks for the trip. Ever since then, all they did was run out the clock so we couldn't go on the trip and any credit would be minuscule. Refuse to give a refund even though there is a Level 4 travel advisory for Greece, they raised the price over 10% and we were never given a deadline to pay that, but our spots were given away. This agency is master of the bait and switch!

We bought a voucher from Travelzoo, booked the "experience" with a provider, but then they had to cancel for health reason (instructor was sick), then it had to cancel again due to bad weather. Then we couldn't do it as my wife was pregnant, so the voucher expired. We talked to the final provider and they promptly agree to honour the voucher, HOWEVER Travelzoo refused to release the money!, despite the final provider having waved the time restriction!
Travelzoo simply refused to pass our money to the provider. They just took the money - based on the (very small print) letter of the contract - and run. Despicable.

I've used Travelzoo since 2011. I have never had a bad experience. I've booked 4-5 star hotels in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Turks-and Caicos, Cuba, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Los Angelos and am looking forward to my trip to Paris. I've also dined at the finest restaurants in New York City and attended Broadway Shows and concerts in the area. I've been to lovely Tea houses all with my Travelzoo vouchers. Travelzoo is always my go to website.

As a merchant I was upset at a possible refund claim but it has since been resolved. I am suggesting to everyone to read the fine print as close as possible and hope everyone adheres to them. Travelzoo is a terrible company and I suggest you stay away. This Cortni, writing on their behalf as a representative is a lier and a can not resolve any real issues. She promised to be a knowledgable contact and help, but she just ignored me like the others did. Obviously she has no real pull at the company.
If you want to be hosed and treated like garbage, I suggest you buy a travel zoo deal!

We had an awful experience when arriving at a hotel on a busy Easter weekend, telling us the hotel room we booked was not available. The hotel didn't recieve our confirmation or the £61.00 we paid. The said they didn't even use Travelzoo and the listing was fake. The hotel manager called Travelzoi 3 times to no avail and in the end gave us his room and a complementry breakfast free. Still waiting to hear from Travelzoo.

I bought s Travelzoo for lake blackshear resort in Georgia for a quick trip to some cooler weather.the only good part is I left the Florida heat for temps in the sixties. The resort/villas are in need of repair and a good cleaning. Unfortunately I only read trsvrlxooy reviews which were good. After arriving I logged on to ttip advisor and saw the real reviews. I didn't see any roaches bu that may be because all I smelled was mildee and bug spray. Cobwebs dust and dirt I didn't want to pick up the phone it was so dirty and everything is dated and old including the beds. We left after one night. Didn't bother asking anyone for a partial refund

I purchased a $99 local deal for a skydiving experience and tried to book with the company Skydive America. But due to the high number of vouchers sold, I was unable to book with them before the expiration date on my voucher. I contacted the company to get a refund but they never answered the phone or emails. I also filed a complaint with the better business bureau. The skydiving company went out of business and I never got to use my voucher. I contacted travelzoo and they refused to refund my $99 since the expiration date had passed. Such a scam!
We had the most wonderful dining experience at Shari Sushi. We went there for our 35th wedding anniversary and Diem, our waitress, approached us with Happy Anniversary and complimentary champagne. She was a very attentive, delightful, and helpful waitress that gave us wonderful service. We bought the $40 and got $80 worth of food voucher from Travelzoo. It was plenty of food for 2 people. We got 2 appetizers and 4 specialty sushi rolls, The food was delicious and the Strawberry Cone dessert was excellent. My favorite sushi was the surf and turf. We will be going back!

We have had great experiences with many Travelzoo bookings for hotels and meals. We had one very bad experience with a Vietnam tour package advertised through Travelzoo but the shifted in the booking to the tour company, Intertrip, with its website and agents. That was a problem. Buying a vacation package with the plane schedule determined later by the tour company means trusting the company to make a reasonable choice of tickets. Intertrips did not. Our return trip required a short early morning flight from Hue to Saigon, then a 12 hour airport stay, then an overnight flight to Tokyo, then a second 12 hour airport stay, then a second consecutive overnight flight to California. People traveling to Asia often lament the 16-20 hour trip home but Intertrips actually SCHEDULED us for a return ordeal of nearly 40 hours. I will still use Travelzoo but not companies they may have on their website and certainly not Intertrips.

I had two vouchers for two restaurants in Victoria BC for Dec 2016. When we got to Victoria (from California), one restaurant was closed for a private party, the other was closed for several days before Xmas, during our stay. Neither closure was on their websites. I expected TravelZoo to refund our vouchers, since these were not able to be honored by the merchants. Instead, I got a credit for some future voucher, to be used within a year. Basically, you take your chances with TravelZoo that your purchase will be useable.

It was really frustrated when I end been scammed with travelszoo. Sale scammers which they use Travelzoo logo and they act as agent the worst was the unfair treatment by bank and delay I was lucky with transfergo to stop one of the transaction they were nice and act in good manner but other transfer agency called taptap they act really in a way I felt sick there was one transfer not approve and one pending they realised the one not approved and they miss the one pending so it is gone through so I lost lots money. My bank revolut is careless and make me laugh sick saying not enough evidence. My advice anyone subject to scam contact the agent that they are using to transfer your money you may have someone human and stop it for you or careless next the bank if your bank have bad reputation am advising people base on my experience do not bank with Revolut. Contacted travelzoo they said it is scam if you know someone acting on your name what have you done to stop them

Never trust number sent to you by brochure on Facebook or what’s up or social media always search for the name of the company and check their number and make sure they are genuine they are clever and professional but if you trust you instinct and you feel they scammers don’t process stop and take all measure no one care about your pain or your kids end up without pocket money for months.
