I went in initially to see if Trellis & Vine was a place to maybe display my art. While there, the place would have been dead except for a little bookshop but it has since moved out. Since it was the only real draw to get people in the door regularly, I'll look elsewhere.
At the time, I was also interested in finding some studio space and asked a friend to take a look and let me know what he thought. He suggested I look elsewhere, pointing out the "studio" space was anything but secure and there was a baby's playpen in the studio area. I have since found out the baby's playpen is for the Trellis & Vine owner's child so its permanence is a given, making this more like a daycare than a creative atmosphere.
Couple all this with an air of arrogance from the management of Trellis & Vine as well as a couple of the "artists" I encountered, it was easy to see they thought far more of themselves than they should. It was an easy decision to avoid any further pursuit of being a part of or shopping at this place.
