Small trucking companies in the US sometimes rely on load boards to find connecting or returning loads back to home base.
www.truckstop.com is one of the biggest online load boards in the US.
However they have a huge problem, their mileages posted to and from are not real. Instead such mileages are geared to favor the broker industry by showing less mileage between your location and the location where the load is located.
For instance from Atlanta GA to Nashville TN their website will show 200 miles, instead of 229-233 real routed miles. Their posted mileage does not even match the industry standard of zip code to zip code mileage. Therefore www.truckstop.com is cheating their paying customers out of millions of $$$ every single day, n the volume of loads posted) by posting unrealistic short mileage to a load's pickup point.
Never mind that the brokers DO NOT PAY monthly fees to post loads, adding insult to injury in this case. Therefore, this website is responsible for posting deceiving mileages to their own paying customers.
Stay away from this people, and save your $ 37.00 USD per month.
BEWARE! Contacted Truckstop to be able to use their loading boards, during this time was told that I would not be able to access the boards until I had insurance. They billed my cc for 3 months starting in Feb when I first contacted them and was told I couldn't access the boards. Contacted them again in March was told the account would be closed. Now in April they hit my cc again, being told AGAIN the account would be closed but will not credit my ccard nothing I can do! Their mistake! BECAREFUL when dealing with a company that says one thing and does another one at your expense.
