Very generous owners who provided us with a great first night meal and a delicious cake which we devoured over the course of our stay along with all the essentials to cater for our needs and for looking after a lovely dog.
Would highly recommend this sit and would have no hesitation in applying for another with this couple should the opportunity arise in the future.
My husband and I travel for up to 2 months annually. Planning for the care of our house and cats while away used to be a big worry, and the solutions were sometimes more expensive than the trip itself. For the past two years, I have posted our needs on the Trusted Housesitters website and received up to 15 applications within 48 hours. It's reassuring to know that these volunteers are verified and most provide multiple references. We have selected the same couple both times, and our experience has been wonderful. It's so nice to be able to fully relax on vacation and know that things at home are in good hands.
I have used TrustedHouseSitters 8 times now, and I have met some incredible and extraordinary people who are absolutely delightful. All of the sitters have been very respectful, reliable and have done exceptional jobs looking after my two fur babies. Most have left the house in a condition as if they have never been, and all have been very clean and tidy. I am so impressed with this service and I will continue to use. It's a win-win for both, and I have made new friends through this service, and friends that want to come back!
Mandy and Tony made me very welcome and met me at the station and took me shopping before they left. Bramble Barnaby (dogs) Tilly and Oslo (cats) were no trouble Once they accepted you and loved cuddles and strokes. Barnaby was a delight to take for a walk as he would chase a ball forever. I would willing sit for them again. New Milton is only a small place but has several supermarkets. There is a local Nisa which stocks most things you will need.
I have been member for a few years and have met many new friends both human and dogs. It has opened a new lease of life for me as both my children are grown up. I love being able to travel to different places and meet lots of new people and stay in some spectacular homes and look after some very love able dogs. Thank you Trusted House Sitters as I have never looked back.
Reading these bad reviews - Are we talking about the same company?! I have to think there must be a "fake review" thing going on here?! We own a 7 bedroom large 1600's historic stone house in England and have had 27 house sitters from trusted.Housesitters.com. EVERY single experience has been excellent. Over the last 6 years we have made friends with our house sitters who have taken superb care of our pets and house and huge garden. I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to leave their pets, home and garden with caring, conscientious, ultra responsible people. All this for FREE (after paying the small fee for joining the website). We are looking forward to using the company for another 27 times (at least) in the future!
We have used Trusted Housesitters for 5 years and have been extremely pleased. Our travels have been from one week to 4 months. We have always come back to a very clean and tidy home, happy pets and with no worries throughout the entire trip. It means so much to have reliable, competent and caring people stay in your home. I have recommended your service to many people over the past 5 years.

As a cat-owner who travels 2-3 times a year, I feel lucky to have found this great resource. Every single petsit has worked well for us. The website itself is easy to navigate, and the Chat line is usually manned if you have questions. Past history of your transactions is kept and easily accessed.
This is such a greaaaaat service! It's a win win for everyone. I've had great luck with sitters I've used.
The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because their website and mobile app are a little flaky and confusing to navigate. Hope they'll put more worm into improving the user experience there.
