We hired TSI to move a family heirloom desk from Florida to Pennsylvania. That was a very smart choice. TSI was Great in every way: phone calls, emails, calling to let us know the exact pick up date and delivery dates a day or so in advance. Most importantly though, they demonstrated much care and respect in packaging and padding the desk to protect it during transport. The delivery guys were nice and very efficient in getting the desk inside, placing it where I directed and carefully unpackaged it. I am so impressed. Thank you so much TSI and Kaylynn!
I am not confident TSI is a real company, I think they may be a fraudulent operation. They took a $2000 deposit from me, promising delivery within the month. 6 weeks later, and after being promised two separate pickup times (and waiting outside for hours each time), they are dodging calls and emails, and still not picking up the shipment. They are either an unprofessional, unreliable, mismanaged shipping company, or a very well managed organization of thieves. In either case, take your business elsewhere.
Quick response time with emails. Frequent communication via phone and email. Product arrived safely and in a timely manner. Would definitely use again.
Excellent communication between TSI and myself. All questions answered with relevant information. Carpet delivered within promised times, in excellent co edition. Thankyou.
I contacted TSI to deliver a stuffed chair cross-country. It arrived in perfect condition in the timeframe promised. I could not be more complimentary of their services from pick-up through delivery.
The entire process was as smooth and efficient as I could imagine. Best price by far for shipping this sort of item. Terrific customer support at TSI. Extremely friendly and helpful.
Company made a HUGE mistake very last minute that costed me a ton of time and money. I also had to fix their problem they did not help. Would not recommend.
Professional and pleasant communication. Everything happened as agreed upon and expected except delivery was 2 hours early! Unheard of! Highly recommend TSI.
Things didn't come on time as quoted...not once but twice I my quote time was pushed back. I would never recommend this company to anyone or even consider using it again.
I would have gone directly through a shipping company rather than using Transit Systems Inc. as an expensive middleman. Customer support is there to "make you feel good" rather than getting things fixed/changed. This made us feel powerless as a customer. We had called a week before, four days in a row and no action was taken for at least a week. By that time it was too late to make the change happen. Nobody cared at TSI, and could do anything about it after the fact - maybe that's why they were delaying, to wait until they could claim ignorance. The customer support agents were nice, but who cares if they can't actually do anything about the situation.
Further, we felt completely duped when our initial estimate was way under the actual shipment price. How can you expect people to understand how much their stuff weighs? Both my wife and I felt taken advantage of and stuck with the service after we found out it would cost thousands more than expected. By the way, we were never told that our things would be stored at all. In the meantime we were sleeping on a hardwood floor for a week unnecessarily. This would/will frustrate the kindest of you readers if you use TSI.
We will never be using this company again and we will recommend to others that they avoid it. If the above sounds like angry ramblings it's because that is what this company will reduce you to after dealing with them.
Ms. Carol Tract made it so easy to get a price, and schedule the pickup and delivery. To move Grandmas old china hutch for us in another state. Thank you
Great customer service - Susan O was professional and eager to help. She offered useful suggestions on how I can lower my freight cost and protect my shipment during transit.
Transitsystems charged $100 to cancel an order they had on their desk for a few hours, when questioned, the agent on the phone was rude, dismissive then hung up. CC company has reversed the charge.
We had several big boxes shipped from Florida to Kansas. The people on the telephone with whom I worked to arrange shipping were very helpful. However, the boxes arrived later than expected and, worst of all, were severely damaged (AS IN CRUSHED WITH ITEMS FALLING OUT) when they finally arrived. The first time they tried dropping off the boxes, my husband was home and working where he could be seen through our large windows. The company said they came by the house and no one answered the door. My husband was home all day. I am very disappointed with the TSI service and the care with which they handled my boxes. I didn't buy the outrageously priced insurance as I thought they would just do their jobs appropriately for the large price we paid to ship. SHIPPER BEWARE! It's a good thing that I will never use their services again, as I have to include my email address.
My initial experience was very good. However, I was told the delivery would be done by December 31st. I learned that my mattress arrived by December 26th. When I did not receive my mattress I contacted the company and was told that they wouldn't do any deliveries on the 31st. I was given a date of delivery in January which was inaccurate. It arrived in good shape but the stops and starts of delivery and the poor communication was not what I expected. In fact the people in your office provided different information than the delivery company. My scores would have been higher for the sales department.
Pick up was scheduled from 2-6PM on a weekday. TWICE, TSI cancelled without prior notice, the day of pick-up. Twice, my fiance and I had to stay home from work to handle this matter. The second time, the customer rep Kathy Temple, was extremely rude (hanging up the phone in the middle of conversation) and indicated she expected me to deal directly with the dispatching company (TSI's third party). Once I informed her that my agreement was with TSI and not with their third parties, she told me we had "no agreement because I didn't sign anything," not only is her commentary flawed (I'm a lawyer), TSI is simply not meeting their end of the bargain. Having paid in advance, TSI has now TWICE failed to meet their obligations.
First time to use your company and was very pleased with the degree of urgency by members. Would use again and tell my friends about you... Gordon Addington
Dealing with TSI was terrific. It was the subcontractor that was to pick up pieces did not follow through and call ahead of time as promised. Caused some issues as I work from home.
Transit Systems was very quick in contacting me and verifying what I needed after the initial quote was given through their web site. I had pick up arranged within 72 hours of contacting them
Pricing was more than what I expected to pay at end. Yes items was added no one call to discuss additional fees. Was notified the day before delivery. Overall guys did a excellent job.
Overall an ok experience moving. I definitely had some difficulties in the process, though. I paid extra for a 3 day pickup window that was stretched to the max. To go with that, I was assured I would receive 24 hour notification prior to pickup, but calling at the end of the work day (19 hours) prior to pickup made arranging my presence challenging. Additional difficulties were encountered on drop off. I was quoted a max 20 business day delivery, which was not met. Delivery was much closer to 27 days. Lastly, I ended up with more boxes on my inventory that I had originally planned for. TSI then elected to charge me additional funds, despite the shipper electing not to weigh my shipment and the shipper estimating I met the weight quote. Approximately 1/4 of this was eventually refunded when I disputed it, but that took 2+ weeks of back and forth emails. I will say, though, that when my things did eventually arrive they were all present and in one piece. Also, when present, the shipping company was very friendly and efficient at packing and unloading.
TSI shipping provided some of the worst quality service I have ever come across. The company advertises a cheap flat rate for shipping mattresses across the USA for $475. The company provides a limited liability of $. 10 per lb with this service ( this won't even cover the price of mattress box). They offered a higher coverage plan that would have costed me roughly $1200 for my move that would have only provided $. 60 per lb in liability ( The average memory foam mattress weighs about 200 lb for a king size, so you are capable of only getting a maximum $120 back if you encounter damages). If your item is worth more than the minimal liability, which everything is pretty much, it is suggested to find additional coverage through homeowners insurance. What they don't tell you is that homeowners insurance does not provide coverage against negligence or mishandling of personal property through transportation.
My situation was/is as follows: I purchased the $475 transportation from TSI and encountered severe damage to my new king sized tempur pedic memory foam mattress in value of $3000. They only provided a $21 check for damages.
As shown below, the mattress was in perfect condition upon pickup and severely damaged during transit.
Images below show condition prior to pickup: Item was in a perfectly wrapped plastic mattress bag and inside of a mattress box.
Images showing damage were captured upon delivery: The mattress box was torn open so badly that it even ripped away the plastic cover and the actual cover on the mattress itself. It also appears that the item was either ran over or sat underneath a heavy object for an extended period of time illustrated by the large indentation still imprinted on the mattress (no mattress looks like this).
The company's quality assurance dept had only the following for comment:
"When shipping in a freight environment specifically, although it is rare, damages can occur. We ship mattresses every day and have a below-average damage rate compared to most. I have viewed the photos you sent over but from what I can see, it does not look like there is significant damage- I see that the outer box is torn open and some of the plastic covering is not secure (I think there may be a seam opened but it is hard to tell) but the mattress itself does not appear to be ruined."
I am not sure what customer would not describe this situation as severe damage to personal property.
Fellow customers BEWARE of this company. They will not accept responsibility for their actions.
Your homeowners insurance will not cover any mistakes like this...
Everything was handled very professional at both ends. They kept me updated on the time of delivery time and date. We are very satisfied with Transit Systems and will use their service again.
The shipment was relatively easy to plan in advance including arranging for a contact other than myself to be available for pickup and delivery. Overall TSI met my needs for an interstate transport.
Isaac was so nice to work with. Plus, he made this, otherwise painful, process much easier than I expected. AND the pricing is great! It is much better than most other moving companies.
When items were picked up it was in a pickup truck that barely accomadated the 18 boxes, when delivered 2 boxes were missing and for the past six months I have not been able to find those boxes, I have called the supervisor Christian, the salesman Phil, the coordinator Renee and the warehouse foreman in Atlanta it appears that I am bothering them. I would not recommend your company and would never use them again and if I could get in touch with corporate I would appreciate that to let them know of my distress. Marlyn
