tudum.co is an online subscription service that works with many online businesses. It acts as a middle man for websites that offers services like dating sites, movie streaming sites, video games websites, even contests and Redemption site. I tried to sign up for a bicycle rental service on Nantucket that was supposed to be free and only charge my card when I was actually renting a bike. Once I'd completed my signup process I received a notification that I had a free 5 day trial period after which they would start charging my card $39.95/month! Supposedly I could cancel IF I cancelled within the 5 day trial period.
I immediately attempted to cancel but was initially unable to log in with the email and password is created. I later received a "purchase confirmation" that included a completely unrelated and random login name that has absolutely nothing to do with how I signed up and that referenced the full password I had created! As far as I knew password were supposed to be invisible to everyone, including people working with the business, but it appears that this company makes it completely accessible.
When I used the new login information they'd provided to sign in I was able to get in but found that to cancel my subscription I needed to call them. When I called I received a message saying that they were currently closed but that I should go to the website ABHelpline.com. Looking online I found that ABHelpline.com is a similar scam that also charges your card $39.95 monthly. Tudum.co also provided a supposed contact link to send them a message but didn't actually complete the sending process when you hit send.
