Having two dachshunds, their personalities are quite different. They are brothers who always want attention and love to cuddle. Actually we tried this product a few years ago, but they just didn't seem to like it. We decided to try it again, and boy it is night and day from the first time! We mix it with their kibble with a bit of water and they lick their bowls and each others! Their stools are solid and much less licking of the paws from our allergy prone one. The biggest difference is the energy level. They are 10yrs old and they act like they are one or two yrs. Are boy who never liked to go on his walks much, now jumps for joy to walk and keeps up with his brother. We call Nutra thrive "Magic Powder". Both guys love magic powder and it has really changed their energy, mealtime enjoyment and overall demeanor. Wow! Thank you for our "Magic Powder"
I tried to place an order for 6 jars that the website advertised as $121. There was no confirmation page to verify my order before clicking complete, but then I saw that they charged me@$200. I immediately emailed and was told they'd cancel my order... never once offering to honor the price advertised... no one ever even addressed my concern with the website having inaccurate prices. I was so excited to try this product for my 2 dogs but if a company has to lie about prices to get customers, that makes me very suspicious about the quality of their product. We'll see if my refund actually posts to my bank account. After reading other reviews, it seems like that's an issue as well!
All 3 cats took to it within the week. The oldest cat has a noticeable limp in her hind leg due to arthritis. Seems to go up the stairs faster and not using her step stool to get up onto the bed. The size of the container compared to the amount of powder inside was a bit deceiving, could almost have put in a scoop with a longer handle. The cost for 6 containers was $279.30 CA -exchange rate can be brutal.
It's only been a month, so it's still too soon to tell exactly how my dog is doinf with it; however, I can say that his appetite is better and he seems a little less lethargic. I will update after month 3.
Gunner is 8 years old but he acted 10. Within 3 weeks of receiving this product he was more active and his eyes were brighter. His fur is so soft! He still shows some signs of skin irritation to his paws but really he has not even finished the first jar! I look forward to seeing the final effect!
My dog is almost 14 and is in his declining years. His poo was almost always mushy and hard to clean up. With Nutra Thrive, is has become nice and firm. He also has more bounce in his walking.
He IS a picky eater though so, I have only been giving 1/2 a scoop at a meal or he won't eat it. It's all mixed together with his other food. Will take more time to really evaluate the effect it has on him.
The customer service from this company is horrible and does not know what they are doing. Yes the product is good but they can't live up to their orders. I have been waiting now 4 weeks for an order and they still don't know when they will be able to get product to me. The customer service gives you a different answer each time. Will never use them again.
I have 2 Cavalier King Charles dogs. 1 is 6 & the other is soon to be 2. They seem like they have some more energy, so I've been happy with this product. I always think it should be given water to not be so powdery, but of course their ears are so long that it gets a bit messy. :(
I've been giving Bella two Dasuquin treats per day for the the past 5 weeks or so and am tapering down to one per day, per instructions. I bought them for her to hopefully keep her joints mobile, she's going on 12 years old (one can never be certain when they come from a shelter). So far though, she's still able to jump up on the sofa and the bed and I'm perfectly ok with that, glad she's able. I'll continue to give these to her and hopefully she'll continue to thrive!
I received my order today and opened it hoping this would help my two elderly cats.
Well what I received probably won't even last a week.
I opened it and it was barely a quarter full, so basically I got a jar with almost nothing in it!
Definitely not worth the money and it appears to be a scam if they can't fill the damned jar!
Tip for consumers:
Don't waste your money you will only get about a quarter of jar!

Hello Kathy. My name is Shayne, I am with Ultimate Pet Nutrition. I am sorry to hear about your experience. Due to the nature of the powdered supplement, the contents may have shifted during transit which releases excess air and compacts the product in each jar. The size of the jar is kept larger to prevent spillage and overfilling during the manufacturing process. I can assure you, however, that our products are filled by weight and each jar will have 30 full servings as labeled. We also strive to keep our formulas as affordable as possible while using only the highest quality of ingredients to ensure the best food for your pet. When price reductions are possible, we are happy to pass those savings along to our customers. We recommend signing up for our email newsletters and/or text club. You will be instantly notified of offers and discounts. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. You may email me at shayne@ultimatepetnutrition.com. Have a nice day.
Unbelievably poor customer service when people keep hand-balling me from one department to another - just couldn`t understand why delivery to Australia is no longer an option (I bought several times before - never was an issue!) when you place an order. No one explained it to me or helped - but rather sent me to online chat - then to support email - then back to online chat. Still can`t place an order (not a single jar though - quite a few). Zero care/support.
Hello Svetlana. My name is Shayne, I am with Ultimate Pet Nutrition. I deeply apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Due to rapidly changing import regulations with Australian Customs, we have halted shipping to Australia. We are working hard to become compliant as quickly as possible. If you have not already, I suggest signing up for our email newsletters. Once shipping to Australia becomes available again, you will be notified via email. We do hope that you will give us another shot in the future. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. My email is shayne@ultimatepetnutrition.com. Have a nice day.
This really is in answer to patty' who complained the jar it's mostly empty. The label clearly says it has a weight, and is good for up to 30 scoops. So don'texpect anything more. I've been using the stuff for almost a year, I use it very sparingly - maybe only once a week. I probably should use it more often. I figure, a little is better than none. It is pricey, I suppose that is a factor too. My cats seem to like the taste.
I have a 1 year old German Shephard who was constantly eating grass on walks. I decided to try the product after seeing the ads claiming... If your dog eats grass do this one thing... He's been on the product for a few weeks now. He's still eating grass. Maybe not as much. I'll finish out the rest of the product but probably won't reorder.
Our dog has had some digestive issues as he's aged, and recently we've seen some improvement in that, and in his energy level when he's not asleep. At 14, he's slowed down a lot, but recently he seems to be feeling better and more energetic when out for a walk. Several attempts made to adjust his food products were hit or miss; lately he's been much better and this powder seems to be helping.
Have been feeding my 2 lab mixes the supplement for a few weeks now. One of them has had allergies and was given medication to stop/reduce the scratching biting licking. The supplement has almost stopped the bad symptoms. I rarely give her meds now.
I have three older dachshunds (one is 11 years old and the other two are 10 years old). We received the product about a week ago, after waiting one month for it to be delivered (I live in Canada and mail is extremely slow right now). I have slowly increased the amount of powder over the week, so they are up to full dose now. Two of my dogs are fine with it in their wet food, the other one is much more picky and I have to coax him to eat it. They absolutely won't eat it mixed with water on their dry food... they don't think it is a gravy. Having been only a week, I haven't seen any changes yet. My one dog has arthritis and another one has chronic pancreatitis. I truly hope this works to help all three dogs be healthy, active and happy.
I have seen marked improvement in Kent (my 9 year old pitbull). When i adopted him, he had a hard time walking for long and balancing himself. BUt with Ultra Thrive, i have seen marked improvement in him. He trots happily for his walks, can climb stairs now and does longer walks too. When he goes for the tennis ball, he actually hops and jumps at the ball. Only reason i have not given 5 stars is that i hope there are more improvements to him.
My mail poodle is 12 years and has a very bad itch problem. No difference as of yet. All most have taken a month. Will give it a little more time. Female poodle is doing fine. She is 11 years old. So time will tell if no change will not order any more. They do like the product.
I saw this product in an advertisement and thought what the heck I'm going to give it a try cuz I know that a lot of these dog foods are lacking an important nutritional elements the dogs need. My dog occasionally gets an upset tummy I take him out for walks he wants to eat the grass so I thought I would give this product to try. From the first day he seemed to enjoy the flavor of it and he ate is whole full but she doesn't often do sometimes you'll go two days without eating anything. I leave his food and water down for him all the time and he seems to regulate himself. So the takeaway from this is I don't see any incredibly wonderful results but I do see that he likes the supplement. I can relax knowing that he is getting the proper nutrition that he needs to remain healthy and live a long life
Not sure my dogs have been taking it long enough but I think the two grass eaters don't seem to be eating as much grass? I have four dogs and only one seemed to get an upset belly from the supplement. I just gave her a couple days off and them slowly started giving it to her again. Seems to be handling it better now.
My dog's name is blue. He is a three year old blue merle Australian Shepherd. he looks healthier and just seems more happy and more playful in the morning. We started giving him a half a cup and sprinkling it on his food. He ate it and did not mind it at all. So we increased to a full cup. Australian shepherds love to run. Blue is wearing me out chasing the ball. So far, he looks like he has more energy. I am happy with the product.
I have been giving Nutria Thrive to both my terrier mixes. 1 has been recovering from Pancreatitis, I hear a gurgle in his tummy these days, Good BM for both. All my fur babies have been rescues. 1 is from a south Korea dog meat business convinced to close. They have both been happy and energetic. I am praying for long healthy lives for them both. They love the taste which is another plus.
First of all Dr. Richter gives you a PARTIAL refund plus the postage to return the "product" is almost as much as the cost that the BUYER has to pay. This food needs attention to mix with warm water and have a meat-like consistency. It's no problem to go through the process but the results gives it an artificial quality and, in addition, puts a mushy substance in your pets mouth. Teeth cleaning is an additional must.
But the big problem is it's not the best taste for most dogs. Especially picky eaters.
My dog has no problem eating the crunching hard Iams, Science Diet and other proven probiotic foods. These are better for the teeth and a lot less expensive.
The mush is overly expensive, overly rated and unfairly promised.
Dr. Richter is making a fortune just off of returns.
Tip for consumers:
Dog food is a rip-off

I am using Nutri Thrive on both my older, large breed dogs. One has severe digestive issues and eats grass nonstop, her stomach gurgles loud enough to hear in the next room. Our 115 lb mountain dog constantly licks his front paws. So I had great hopes with this product! However, not really seeing a difference yet, with either dog. Its been a good 30 days of using it and I thought I would give it a little more time.
Not sure I can afford to keep using much longer without significant results. The price point for this product seems very high for the small container!
I have been giving pet nutrition to my two shih-tzus for a while. They like the taste and eat their dinners every day. I've noticed less flatulence and firmer poop for both dogs. Also, my 11 yr old is experiencing less pain in his leg which used to bother him when he woke up. I am definitely going to continue using the product.
I have been sc
I was being screwed until I wrote this review. Refunded now by the Ultimate Nutrition. I paid over 140 for 3 canisters of this "product". I asked for a refund. I brought it to post office and sent it back express mail another 15.00. They say 3 to 5 business days to process and refund my money. It's been a month. And evidently I lost or misplaced the tracking number. They say it was never received. They are lying. Don't believe the reviews on their page. Look for reviews off their site and you will see horrendous ones. My opinion and others
S. This is not a good company. Don't Buy this Product. Unless you read reviews.
Hello Richard. My name is Shayne, I am with Ultimate Pet Nutrition. I deeply apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. When orders are returned to our warehouse and scanned into our system, generally refunds take 3-5 business days to reflect on your account. However, if the order was received, it is possible the package was either misplaced or not scanned in, causing your refund not to be processed. For that I apologize. I am glad to hear that you did end up receiving the refund. We do hope that you will give us another shot in the future. If you ever have any questions or would like to discuss anything. Please email me at Shayne@ultimatepetnutrition.com. Have a nice day.
My dog use to only eat once a day when she was and has been fed twice a day for 3 years and was skinny and now eats twice a day. My beagle I was told by other beagle owners that beagles gorge the food and and he was barely eating when fed. Now when he sees we are getting him food he goes to his kennel and is waiting for it. Their appetite has greatly improved
