Uniqlo has a rating of 1.3 stars from 113 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Uniqlo most frequently mention customer service, return policy, and credit card problems. Uniqlo ranks 4515th among Clothing sites.
I have not had to contact customer service, which seems to be reason for most of the negative reviews. I have couple of items that I only purchase from Uniqlo, including jeans and camisoles, that fit well, are good quality and very reasonably priced. Deliveries take a little longer to arrive than purchases from some other sites, but have never had problem with not receiving delivery or receiving wrong item.
I made an order of over £500. I haven't received half of the things i paid for and those ones i got were sent in duplicates. Hardly any way to contact them to make a complaint. DO NOT SHOP WITH UNIQLO. The WORST experience EVER
Uniqlo makes good clothing at affordable prices. However don't order it on their website. They have no telephone service, no live chat, it takes several says before they respond to emails and they write nonsense. I wrote several emails to complain that I never received my order, and after several days they wrote back to say that they will refund after I have returned the order... that I did not receive. This company should be banned from e-commerce until they have their processes right so that they abide to the law.
Placed order for +J 7.15 am day of release and order confirmed. 6 days later, nothing. Called and then had confirmation of full 5 piece order (and invoice) the following day. Collected 2 days later. Only 3 pieces. Called again (20 mins wait)... apologies, nothing they can do, sold out. Not the first time this has happened... appalling customer service and now have to wait for investigation prior to refund for missing pieces, plus 15 days for refund for items being returned Couldn't get much worse. You would think this was a real MickeyMouse company not a major international retailer
Purchased a t-shirt from Vasant kunj store and later found out that it has a hole on the sleeve. Went back to the store in 5 days to exchange the t-shirt. Manager told us that we should have inspected the item closely before purchasing them as they cannot do anything now. This reminded me of the shopping from roadside vendors, because they also respond exactly the same in such scenario.
First time I buy Uniqlo, I made a size mistake. In every store I am a perfect size M.
This coat was on final sale, when it arrive it was huge on me. Trying to reason with the phone agent about just to exchange the same product for a different size considering it was my first purchase and I wasn't used to their sizes. It was a draconian NO, no return or exchanges on online purchases, you have to go to the next store which is 4 hours away from where I live.
NEVER AGAIN.
Transactions show cancelled and after a day are shipped duplicating the purchase, even when a customer service agent was contacted and confirmed it was cancelled.
Impossible to unsubscribe to the promotional emails.
Recommendation: do not purchase using the web
The system is not user-friendly. It is not easy to make an online purchase in store. Staff doesn't know the system and they sent you from one customer service to another. The worst store the worst customer service in the system. Everything is polyester and not too many natural fabric is out there. Never again
This company seems good but they are total scammers. Their online service is total bs. I will never ever shop from this company again. They charged me and sold me a jacket that they don't have. And when I asked them cancel the whole order they said they can cancel whatever they want not the whole order. And asked me to return it for $7 for the items I bought to able to get jacket for free shipping.
What happened to the 100,000 heattech promo? Received a promo code from them only to find out a few hours later Uniqlo cancelled the order. No charge according to them but still holding the funds for shipping. Whatta lame way to handle business! Shop elsewhere. All hype major disappointment
No free return shipping label. I ordered Small size but it's like Large. I mesaured with my old Small size vest and it's not the same size. On the photo my old vest is on the new one. It's the company's fault if they oversized, and not offering free shipping label it's shame.
Tip for consumers:
Be careful. No free return.

Sent my clothes in for refund a while ago. All my inquiries about the refund situations fell on deaf ears. There were no replies at all. It is very ironic their email adress is "*******@mail.uniqlo-usa.com". They definitely do not care at all.
Awful place to deal with... it took over a month to obtain my credit which should have been for $37.79 but instead was for $27 and change. The only way I was able to get my credit was because I filled out an online form to the Better Business Bureau. There is no one to talk to in the CS department as UNIGLO blames the current Covid on not having a CS department. The merchandise is pretty goo quality but definitely not worth the the poor service and total lack customer service.
Uniqlo falsely stated that they did an in-depth investigation into my missing package, therefore no refund per Various Uniqlo puppets, including the supervisorscontrary to what FedX told me that my package was only tracked as delivered. It should've been put in complex parcel lockers. Shocked that an international store would provide such poor service. Unsubscribed, never to set foot in bottom feeder place. They don't answer emails either. Might be having cash flow probs if they're so desperate for monies. Buyer beware...
Common technology allows businesses to process returns with only the receipt to original form of payment. However, UNIQLO requires the presence of the physical credit card, which in my case, differs from my spouse and obviously not something I carry with me. This is simply a tactic by UNIQLO to reduce returns to its business. What a turn off and not customer friendly. Also, the UNIQLO website does not allow feedback about the specific store in our area due to the store's location being a requirement to process and our state not being listed.
Uniqlo.com collects NYS sales tax on exempt clothes. NYS= State clothing and footwear sales tax exemption. They do this for other states that exempt certain purchases
Beginning April 1,2012, clothing, footwear, and items used to make or repair exempt clothing1 sold for less than $110 (per item of clothing or per pair of footwear) will be exempt from the states 4% sales and use tax (sales tax).
Amazon, LandsEnd, Eddie Bauer and many other online retailers have billing programs that do not include these taxes. Uniqlo says the consumer must contact them for a refund. Illegal to collect sales taxes for goods that are not taxed.
Uniqlo has an option to use GiftNow. If you use GiftNow, they will apply an estimated tax base on the highest sales tax in the country, with that honor belonging to California (12%). The tax is applied regardless of whether your state charges sales tax on clothing or not. If the recipient lives in a state where no sales tax is charged, the recipient receives the tax amount in the form a gift card. This is done without your prior approval. So if you send someone a gift costing $200 you will inadvertently give the recipient an extra $24. If the recipient never redeems the gift card, guess what? Uniqlo benefits from the unused amount.
I bought a sweater in one of there stores in NJ. I would like to return it in NY stores but they said I can't. They told me I had to go back to the original store. They never informed me when I bought the merchandise. They told me it was on the receipt. I don't like their policy. I wouldn't come back or buy anything from them until they change their policy. It is not convenient
Tip for consumers:
Not happy with their service. Will not shop at their stores until they change their policy

Uniqlo store is appalling and there are much better options out there.
Please be aware depending on where you come from you may not be eligible for in store discounts despite them advertising it.
If you ask for help in store they will not be able to help you and will actually tell you "you are not the only one with this problem" but despite this will not do anything to help solve the issue.
If you approach help online you will be met by a lack of ability to help and rudeness since I didn't make the purchase online. The online customer service help will instead ask you to go back to the store you purchased from.
There are much better stores out there to purchase products from and tbh they are likely to be better quality.

In this day and age of fast tech Uniqlo is sadly slacking. I refer to their offer of a "welcome £10 voucher" for new customers. Straightforward one would assume especially as many outlets do the same and the "welcome coupon" appears instantly at the online checkout.
Not the case with Uniqlo. The advice is that the voucher takes 24hrs to arrive in our email! Not terribly helpful when you have a basketful of goodies! Oh and there are no guarantees that your voucher will appear at all.
So contacted "helpbott" - an hour later and having been cut off from a "live agent" no further forward and advised wait for 48hrs! Phew Uniqlo really does want me to have a "fast retailing" experience ….to please and satisfy customers (me).
Sooo I would like to thank Uniqlo because I have in fact saved myself £450! How, yep emptied my basket.
I wish more retailers were the same; I could save my self a fortune

I'm not one who spends time on reviews of any kind, but Uniqlo's handing of a request to return a faulty item was so pathetic that I have no way out. They wouldn't return the item or even give me store credit a couple of days after their return window (30 day after PLACING THE ORDER) even though I told them I'd just come back from a trip and I couldn't have returned it any earlier. I had a plane ticket as proof! I attach pictures of the torn top. The tear happened as soon as my friend put it on. I wish I'd never bought it for her in the first place. She lost $30, and I lost 90 minutes on chat twice over the course of two weeks trying to solve the issue, but they're completely unreasonable. They don't share a number to call and talk to a human. DO NOT BUY UNIQLO. You'll regret it should you have an issues with quality or size of the item you bought. Monica M. I'd give them a ZERO STAR if I could.
I used to really the brand but after several terrible customer service experiences I have now officially decided not to ever do business with them. Last straw was bringing back some items from an online order to their Montreal store and being told that they would not accept them back, because online purchases have to be sent back via FedEx only (they would not accept to take the items back and give me a store credit either, which I was prepared to accept, because of some obscure excuse about their cash register system). So I carried a box all the way to their store for absolutely nothing, and now had to carry it back home and will now have to find a FedEx location (another special circle of hell), because their own stores do not honor their own returns. Tried calling customer service only to be told that they could not do calls, only chats. Really an overall awful experience, the customer is really not at the center of their business model. Will boycott deliberately for that reason. Shame also that a company that projects supposedly environmental values had me carry this return back and forth for nothing and is now requesting that I spend even more gasoline to send it back to their warehouse via a third-party provider… actions speak louder than words!

Several until their return policy convinced me never to do business with them again - they have some really good basics and their clothes are well made but they are not worth the inconvenience and the terrible customer service
I've bought 4 items on 8 of agust. And selected standard delivery. And the track order system is awful. I can's see my order where is. Also the delivery day 9-11 agust and still waiting my felivery they updated to 13 of agust whyy?
Their t shirts are junk. Mine developed holes after 1st wash. Company told me to pound sand. Don't buy their awful merchandise. Zero customer service.
Awful! Really bad experience with Uniqlo North Point Hong Kong. Customer loyalty does not exist in this company. It just didn't want to know about the problem. Uniqlo adjusted the size and fit of a particular style without changing the measurements shown on the label. It did absolutely nothing to inform customers that the product had changed even though the general description of the product was the same. I bought 4 items, thinking they were the same as those I'd bought previously, but they no longer fitted properly. I was refused an exchange, or a refund, or any help whatsoever even though Uniqlo was clearly at fault. Good service requires proper treatment of customers and accepting fault when appropriate! My experience with Uniqlo was the worst that I've ever experienced worldwide. Giving the sales staff constructive feedback about the problem made absolutely no difference. The sales manager "Andrea" was worse than a parrot and just wouldn't listen! Once Uniqlo has your money it is not interested in providing after-sales service. If the style stays the same, customers must be told if there has been a slight change in size. Very unfair treatment by Uniqlo and it should be ashamed of itself. Absolutely dreadful - no respect for its customers! Wouldn't happen in other major branded shops in Europe, UK, Australia or America. Uniqlo definitely has the worst after-sales service of any major retailer that I've ever experienced!
I will never shop there again.
