As soon as i arived at the Airport. I saw customer is coming towered me asking can i help you. Said yes please. I am here to help. She helped me all the way. The Pilot was very nice talking when he needed to talk. I didn't see any problem with customer serving in the Plain. They helped me in the Shutter with all my Bags. All customers were really nice and quite. I will chose UNITER AIRLINE from now on.
About 90% of the time I fly United there are always last minute "technical delays." The plane can be at the gate for hours and only when we've all boarded, door is closed, then they realize there's some tech issues. It's really frustrating that their consistent issues are at the expense of the passenger. Last, the majority of service received is typically rude, standoffish, and uncaring. Any business employee treating customers like many of United employees do would be terminated. Being captive under poor conditions is not appropriate. Asian and European airlines do it right, not United.
United staff are rude! The personnel assigned to check my boarding pass immediately tagged y carry-on as check-in without my permission.
When I get in the plane majority of the airplane compartment are empty. There are bigger carry-ons that what I have and they let them carry it with them. United need to train their staff to better assess carryon laugage with their policy and ensure that they are treating customers equally regardless of their color, race, or ethnicity. United needs to hire staff who are professional. I feel that my situation was being assess unfairly.
United airline booking air ticket - United is not customer friendly at all as it only wants to push what is profitable and convenient for the airline rather than the customer. If you want to travel from Houston to Hong Kong, Chicago or Denver or both will come up rather than SFO, with you waiting up to 4 hours in transit. Who wants to go to those places in stead of SFO to take the chance of weather induced delays in November? There is a 6 am and an 8 am departure from Houston but they never show the 8 am one. Then coming back instead of 4 - 5 pm to Houston they have you arrive at 10:30 pm, and 8 pm if you are luck. They have a check box for senior and if you check it the fare is no different. The comparable fare is 30% higher on UA than on CO. Wonder if they don't go belly up sooner
Horrible airline. My 10:40AM flight was delayed "10 or 20 minutes" for a "minor mechanical issue"... two hours later, we were told that they were flying in a new plane rather than fixing hours. Then the second plane was delayed for *another* mechanical issue. It was delayed again and again and has been pushed back to 6:45PM, and even the ticketing agents are saying that they doubt it'll show up anytime today.

If you are price conscious, and only need a flight for the day, United's basic economy is for you. However, for the price of one bag added to your flight, you will find a plethora of airlines that include carry-on, snacks, and beverages. Be cognizant of the low cost as a bait and switch to get you to purchase the ticket. Once you have purchased, you cannot change anything associated with your ticket. Everything is an added cost - buyer beware!
Dustin *******@mci airport was the WORST experience I've ever had with a company. We had a group of 12 (8 in 1st class, 4 in coach), mostly women. He was a jerk from us as soon as we got to the gate. Very rude to the women ND standoffs. Keep in mind this was at 3 pm and most people had 1 drink. The guys had 2 beers "NOONE had more than 2 drinks" we shrugged it off and got on the plane... there was then an issue with a non related guest in the wrong seat " this had nothing to do with our group". They came down from the gate and that person moved. "Dustin" then told the pilots not to serve our group alcohol and came to me as the "group leader" and told me we would not be served.
Total a**dou$che
Merge and merge and merge. Charge more for this and that. Squeeze a dollar. Act like just a bit more holier than thou. Even if the computers are running everything now, this airline sucks and I feel sorry if you must traverse the "friendly skies."
Other that that, I like them.
As I left the United States, the service desk attendant Stacy stoutamyer was extremely difficult to make the process go smooth. She was uninformed about the flight status and Covid requirements at the same time she tried to switch our flight. It was very stressful and I did not appreciate the disrespect and attitude she delivered. It would be appreciated if the service desk was informed about this, as it delayed our travels while she called 5 different people and the supervisor whom told us everything we told her already.

I've never had a problem with United Airlines. I did prefer Continental before the merge with United. I like being able to pick my seat, I enjoy the in-flight entertainment, and the customer service most of the time. Continental was a bit better with customer service. The only thing I do not like is the checked bagage fee. They've never lost any of my bags though!
No commuication on changes of boarding gates-assigned gate 84 n changed it gate 70b without txt'g, almost didn't make the flight-had to run to boarding gate to barely make our departure time, in flight movies were nill/tried for 4 hrs to connect with NO help from the stu's, their response was "keep trying" United entire cs sucked, I've flown with united before and that was bad, this event surpassed it. I will never fly on this airline ever again or recommend it to anyone. Hawaiian airlines had the best experience when flying to kauai and maui.
Tip for consumers:
Do not fly on united
Booked a trip from Denver to Nashville with my wife. Called and was told seats are not assigned and we have to pick them. If the seats are not together then we have to pay to upgrade our seats just to sit side by side (priced from 17 each to 100 each). WTF, I bought the tickets at the same time. What if I was going with my 10 year old?
Our flight from Oklahoma City to Houston for a connecting flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, was delayed due to weather. We arrived at the gate in Houston as it was loading. UA rep at gate told us since we were late they reassigned our First Class seats. We fly FC because of bad knees (replacement surgery scheduled 5/1) As we walk past our FC seats they're occupied by two UA pilots. We go back to economy and spent 5 to 10 minutes as they shuffled passengers around because other flights were late. But for some reason they couldn't re-locate the two pilots. We saw seats in the exit row (which has more leg room) but were told we couldn't sit there because it was an "upgrade". I'm waiting on response from UA after filing my complaint.
The head stewardess and the UA rep at the Houston A/P were more thoughtful and sympathetic, but I'm most concerned about the consideration UA provides for this experience.
If I am able to give United a zero star, I would. I flew on United Jul 12th, flight suppose to leave at 7pm, they claimed they left at 7:30pm but sat on the runway for over an hour. It did not truly take off until past 8:30pm, so they lied about taking off. In addition, the flight was the most uncomfortable flight ever, there was no wifi, there as no snacks left by the time they got to my aisle, and the guy next to me kept putting his leg next to mine because it was so tight. I felt like I was being sexual harassed. Other airlines like Delta and Alaska Air lets you take a carry on without charge, not United, they give you the worst kind of flight and charges you every penny they can. I called to complain but they did nothing for me, not the greatest customer service. If you can fly other airline, that would be better than United!
4 minors ages 5-11 NOT seated with the 2 adults also on the same plane. Not even close by! Even the children are in 2 separate rows! Tried to resolved the day before and was told it would be resolved at the airport. At the airport the agent said she couldn't help us because she had other issues to resolve- they were overbooked with 11 passengers confirmed above capacity! Minors flying with their adults should take priority! The agent wouldn't even ask the single passengers flying next to my children to switch seats with the other adults we had on the plane. Parents be ware!
The website is fine, but the company is UNfriendly Uncaring and UNSAFE! After going through an emergency landing due to landing gear issues the customer service department was ill-informed and some of them down right rude. Their phone support was hopeless. I had to explain three times to three different service personal what had just happened. In todays ease of communication I would have thought the United staff would have known a disaster had just been aborted. Thank goodness for the staff at LUFTHANSA who were courteous and efficient. Everything United weren't.

Not only do they charge you a $150 change fee to change your ticket they charge a $150 change fee for each direction to refund your miles you used for seat upgrades. Lame policy that I'm sure is hidden somewhere deep on the 25th page of the rules but that's BS.
Sep 7th, 2023, my family (2 adults, 2 girls 7 years old) had to fly back to Germany from Tucson AZ. They checked in, my grandkids were upset to leave me. The friendly man behind the counter (sorry don't know his name) must have seen it. We were sitting and hugging when he came and asked for my ID. He took it and went behind the counter. After a few minutes he came back and gave me a visitor pass the I could go with them to the gate and had 90 more minutes with my grandkids. It meant so much to them and me. After this, it continued to be like this. The people in the security department were just as nice. Making the whole experience so personal and friendly. Maybe there is hope that we can get back to the world we had before Covid?!?! Thank you so much!

I was about to go to Africa the morning of August 17th, 2022. United was my local connection between MPLS to Chicago. My destination country was asking negative Covid test which we had but United employee who seemed to be enjoying denying boarding for at least three other Travelers both going to same destinations said your Covid test don't have QRC code. This Airline is enforcing a rule foreign country in which we already complied with. To add insult to injury, they reported that we were No Show. To re- book the flight now The online Agent is asking $4,300. I saved this money for three years.
Tip for consumers:
Never use this Airline, as they have separate treatment for people of East African Decent especially Somalis

Such a bad airline! Sitting waiting for a late inbound aircraft for the 3ed time. Last month when I took United the plain was late for no listed cause, then the next day my replacement flight was delayed and to get home I ended up having to take a trip the third day with a 5 then 4 hour flight instead of one 5 hour flight. Now here I am again. I take Delta allot and they are so much better and always on time. If they had more flights out of Medford OR I would never fly united. Most of the time I will pay for the Delta flight even those I get the united one for free with work. The seats are so crammed in united and unconfutable. The main cabin seats in Delta have the same legroom as the United economy plus. It is half the price to upgrade to better leg room in Delta and they give you designated overhead storage and a free alcoholic beverage. Good thing for United people sometimes do not have a choice or no one would fly them.
They don't give a $#*! about leaving you stranded. They wouldn't pay for my $300 in expenses when they stranded me in Denver in May, for two days, they tried to make me go through Dallas without a direct flight to Moline. Then when they rebooked me the flight was backed out, then they unloaded us for an hour then reloaded us to get me there 3 hours late. Today they have changed my gate to the end of the B concourse and now delayed this F'ing flight too. Total uncaring AH's! Did I mention I used to work for them!

StayED overnight 2x’s and 2 rides to the airport DIY. Never reimbursed. They gave me 10,000 miles to use on an airline I hate now
My worst flight experience was with United Airlines on July 21st. I had booked a flight from Ottawa to New Jersey because I had a business meeting scheduled for 12 noon. The flight was scheduled for 6 a.m., and I expected to arrive at 7 a.m., thinking I had enough time in case of any flight delays.
However, my flight was delayed for 7 hours, and it didn't take off until 1:15 p.m. and the airport attendants informed us this was due to a fire extinguisher functionality. By the time I arrived at my destination, my business meeting had already concluded, rendering the entire trip pointless.
Upon returning home, I promptly filed a compensation complaint (Case ID: **************). The response time to my complaint was disappointingly slow. I eventually received an email offering two options: a cash compensation of $600 or a travel voucher worth $1000, valid for 12 months. Since I had no immediate travel plans for the next year and the voucher would expire within 12 months, I opted for the cash compensation. I provided my address as requested for a check to be mailed out.
To my surprise, I received a response from United Airlines stating that I did not qualify for the compensation option I had chosen. Instead, they offered a travel voucher worth $200. United Airlines claimed the flight was disrupted due to safety reasons, hence I do not qualify for compensation.
This experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing and I will not advise anyone to travel with United Airlines if you have an important appointment the same day.

Purchased the ticket from United.com and then they do unticketed email. Then they are charging the ticket double the cost.
From google flights they attracted you to have cheaper price, but the flight didnt went through and the flight cost is increase. Never buy from their email. So untrustworthy. They said the ticket is spending and just fall off.
Tip for consumers:
Dont trust United.com website. It is unreliable. Waste of time. Troublesome customer service. Spend 30mins on waitlines.
My father paid around $333 for a trip for San Diego to San Fransico back on June 5 2022 for a wedding of my middle brother. He missed his flight due to his medical condition and United refuses to return any money to him.
Tip for consumers:
That United does not honor their comitments

I'm very surprised - they came in dead last in a current national survey, and the items in the survey which brought them in to this dead last position did not even include my most objectionable characteristic of this union of one bad and one good airlines.
My least, least favorite thing about United is their seating. Unless you are under 5'6" tall, you will not be happy. Expect your neighbor directly in front of you to be laying in your lap for a very, very, very long flight (even if it's only 1-1/2 hours or around that).
Who decides these things? Someone from ISIS's hospitality and accommodations group?
They should be tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity.
This is what happens when we allow these mega-mergers. Higher prices, lousy service, more delays, theft of award miles, animal-like treatments and crowding, hunger (not even snacks), fees for everything, and less benefits.
Welcome to the "un-friendly" skies.
Wish I could walk or ride my bike there (but it's just a little too far).
There's not much to say: My favorite Airline ever since! Never had any problems and you know what: I will never use a different Airline. United all the way!
