As soon as i arived at the Airport. I saw customer is coming towered me asking can i help you. Said yes please. I am here to help. She helped me all the way. The Pilot was very nice talking when he needed to talk. I didn't see any problem with customer serving in the Plain. They helped me in the Shutter with all my Bags. All customers were really nice and quite. I will chose UNITER AIRLINE from now on.
About 90% of the time I fly United there are always last minute "technical delays." The plane can be at the gate for hours and only when we've all boarded, door is closed, then they realize there's some tech issues. It's really frustrating that their consistent issues are at the expense of the passenger. Last, the majority of service received is typically rude, standoffish, and uncaring. Any business employee treating customers like many of United employees do would be terminated. Being captive under poor conditions is not appropriate. Asian and European airlines do it right, not United.
Really bad customer service. In this Trip I encountered so many United airlines people and they are arrogant and do not behave and communicate properly.
Just like the song that you can hear on Youtube" UNITED AIRLINES BREAKS GUITARS". They sure destroyed my very rare and expensive 1967 Martin guitar. It had clearly been dropped out of or off the luggage conveyer belt and dropped some 15 feet to the ground. If you are a professional musician be ready for a fight with these fools. Don't let them put your guitar in the luggage bay.
The neck of the guitar was snapped in two places and it was in a super protective hard shell case. The value of the guitar is in the thousands of dollars and so far they have not offered to do anything at all. The service people did not keep their appointment and the letter that we wrote to the airline has not yet been answered.
At first they said that they would not even look at what they had done until we had to get in their faces. The best that they said they would do is give us an email address to voice our complaints. Wow what a bunch of creeps. I guess it goes with out saying that based on the reviews I have been reading on these clowns United is correctly rated as the worst airline in most all categories. For me they are experts in dishonesty, and lack of concern for their customers, I will never fly with them again. I give them only one star because there is not a way to select zero stars! Yuck.
United is an embarrassment to the airline industry. Nothing goes right. I always go out of way to avoid United, which can be difficult if one flies to or through O'Hare.
United airlines cancelled our flight from
Newark to Phoenix. Customer service in the terminal told us to call to 800 # waited on hold 1 112 hrs got hung up on.
They may not be as sexy as other airlines but they get you there and they've even updated their website and have wifi on most flights. It's all about getting "status"...
If I could drop zero stars, I would. Customer service people have zero customer service skills, they are rude, the management is even more rude than the CS, they will change flight times on you with no notification and then blame you for not knowing. They will admittedly send flights out early without all passengers to make everyone else happy because they would prefer to deal with a single unhappy customer if it makes everyone else happy on the flight. I'm supposed to be in California right now holding my son and instead I will be sitting in this dump all night long until he's in bed. Why? So united Airlines can make a plane full of people happy at my expense.
Do not fly with this airline, do not fly with this airline, DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE!
Lost my luggage from LAX to PEK (it went to SD instead) cost me hundreds of $ in international phone charges and 12 days to finally get my bag. The customer service reps were unfriendly, rude, some even downright lied to me as to the status of retrieving it.
My mum was abandoned at the United airlines in Chicago from Brussel because she can't speak English. When I bought the ticket, I make sure they know that she can't speak English and she needs help. But United airlines from Brussels didn't care. They make her misses all her flights and she was in the airport for 2 days without water or food. Chicago ohare police's and very professional United Flight attendant UA450 called Nathan. Nathan is very professional, kindhearted, he care for his passengers, listen to them, help his passengers and he is always smiling.Mr Nathan in UA450 is the flight attendant that every flights needs. Nathan professionalism safe my mum from missing her flight again. Thank you Nathan and Chicago Ohare police for kindness and professionalism. My mum is so Grateful to meet good person like Nathan on her flight from Chicago to Seattle!
So I'm trying to book an UBER from home to Newark Airport (the horror of Newark AP is bad enough!) but UBER not surprisingly asks for the departure Terminal. Trying to find that on the UNITED website or phone app is an exercise in futility. Ah, but don't worry UNITED has junked up the website and App with so much BS it's near impossible to even find your flight info!
Tip for consumers:
Stay home! Flying has become such a hassle and Soooooo expensive it better to stay near home.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AFTER SALES
This is the third time I have had my flight cancelled or changed! I tried to book again with my 'future flight credit' as they will not give a cash refund EVER, and now I can't use it, because apparently I originally booked my first flight (2 years ago) on a different economy class!?! Surely money is money and a credit is a credit, even if I was booking first class its money off no? I got passed to person to person on their hard to find customer service number to eventually find out if I bought outright is was going to cost £200 less than if I used credit. So therefore loosing £200 of my £590 credit. So my credit that I have spent with them is now only worth £390 because their computer systems can't keep up? Terrible customer service and computer systems and just generally frustrating and unsympathetic. I hate this airline.
The staff isn't good. They aren't courteous. Not enough leg space for long journeys. Overall i would not recommend this airlines and I hate to travel again.
United airlines... what can I niot say about them. They are expensive... their Airplanes (atleast the ones I flew on) are old, smelly and dirty. They charge you for almost everything on board. You want to eat? You pay. You want some earphones? You pay. You want a blanky? You pay. You want something to drink? You pay. You can't take more than one luggage even for international flights. Even their business class is alwful. There is nothing good to say about this Airlines.
Don't uphold prices and try to charge you different stating the prices on their app for the past month are an "error"
Tip for consumers:

I have never experienced such bad performance from an airline company the way i did with UA- flights that are cancelled over and over again leading to loss of precious family vacation time, cancelled flights on the way back home (still not there!) leading to loss of work days, zero communication with costumer service, no help, spending so much extra money due to UA lack of ability to provide us with the flight that we payed good money for and now have to spend more... I would not recommend ANYBODY to fly with UA, EVER
The worst airline. My first and last trip with United. Inpatient and unfriendly. I had breathing issue and I couldn't even be bothered to seek their help. Unreachable.
Do not book with this airline! After our flights had been purchased, the airline forced an additional stop into our itinerary. We had initially paid the higher cost for one-stop flights to avoid two or more stops. But the airline forced that change on us, which turned out to be a nightmare once we were on our trip. Due to other long flight delays and complete cancellations, we spent hours and hours at the airports waiting in lines and running from one desk in the airport to another (in huge airports, it can literally be miles) and dealing with unfriendly, incompetent airline staff. It ended up that we had to split from our group we had been travelling with, we had to rebook separate flights, and arrive at our destination two days later. This is all within the USA! Two days! Also beware of prepaying for your checked luggage. At two different airports, on two different days, we experienced problems with the airline not being able to pull up record of our prepayment. I had to show them my e-mail confirmation in order for them to not charge me twice for mine and my husbands checked bags. I witnessed other people having the same trouble.
UNITED AIRLINES personal are extremely unprofessional.
UNITED AIRLINES ARE THIEVES! So Watch out.
I had an International business ticket flying from LAX to GIG and They wanted to force me to check in a carry on bag at the gate. I told them i had very valuable things in my bag and I wished not to have it checked in. They did not allow me on the flight, I asked for a supervisor, Supervisor refused to give me his name. I refused to leave the gate unless he would tell me his name and then he Called the police on me. Now United Airlines refuse to refund my airfare.
NEVER book a flight with United Airlines unless you are planning to forfeit your money. United Airlines will make your reservation, accept your full payment in advance, cancel your flight and then issue you a voucher that is not redeemable for a refund. Once United Airlines has your money, they consider it their money, regardless of whether they provide the travel services for which you paid or not. They are a fraudulent, unethical business concern. PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS! With their customer hostile business policies and practices, THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS BEING IN BUSINESS! Travel with United Airlines at your own risk.
Tip for consumers:
Who would ever have thought United Airlines to be so greedy as to defraud customers with questionable refund policies? They must be really struggling to keep their business afloat.

I had an issues with the flight I had booked after being advised to do so by a United employee. My problem was solved quickly after only a couple of emails and a day of waiting, great service!
Well, United Airlines does it again. I bought a ticket for my sister to visit because she has cancer and no money. Her doctor now states that she cannot fly, so I attempted to call United to see if I could get a refund under these circumstances. There is NO way to speak with an American, and I was routed to India who was as useful as teats on a bull. The short of it is that I am going to have to swallow the cost of this ticket or pay a $200 re-booking fee which exceeds the cost of the ticket. Every experience I have had with United has been negative, and I should have known better than to ever use them again. Unfortunately, they have the only nonstop flight from the originating city, and my sister cannot handle the change in flights. United has got to be the worst run business I have ever encountered.
UPDATE: October 11,2013
American Express challenged United after I disputed the charge with them. United gave me back 100% of my ticket price thanks to American Express.
LESSON:
Dispute a charge and provide proper documentation but dispute it through your credit card company that has more power than you.
Unprofessional
They caused 13h+! Hours delay to my parent's arrival (who are in their 60s, travelled for the 1st time and donn't speak english).
It was very stressfull and frustrating. I did not sleep that night trying to help them through out all
These issues, talking to agents and translating.
I talked to the agent on the phone and he kept blaming the previous airline my parent used for the trip from Europe.
He refused to give me his badge number so I can't put any complaint against him. So disapponinted with them. I don't want
Anyboday to experience this, so If you 're flying your parents with united I recommend NOT to do that.
Initial flight: UA3631
They moved them to these flights with additional layover: UA1176, UA 586
We recently took a trip to New Zealand and booked our flight on United Airlines. We flew from Dayton to Chicago to LAX to Auckland. Thankfully they chartered Air New Zealand for the LAX to Auckland flight. However, we were stuck in a 'retro' 777 on our trip back from Auckland to San Francisco. Yikes. The plane was packed as well making our flight even more painful as could not stretch. The seats COULD NOT have been more painful.
My grandmother and I flew on june from vancouver to houston, we experienced discrimination, aggression and the most terrible customer service.
The check out counters at YVR are a mess, when we arrived to the counter after many hours in line the agent didn´t assign us any seats so at the gate we made another 40 minute lineup
We were the last ones to abord and the flight attendants didn´t let us bring our carry on (not our fault, it is the airline fault for disorganized and over selling). We had valuable personal belonging with us that could not be checked in.
We try to explain that we cannot checked the carry on, and a very violent with clearly with anger issues flight attendant tell us, in a very rude way that we are not flying with them.
My grandmother, who doesn't speak english and is a senior was holding her carry on while the same aggressive flight attendant assault my grandmother by pushing her with the carry on all the way to the cabin
When I told an airport employee the incident, the flight attendant denied it.
We end up checking in the carry on and they gave us garbage bags for our valuables they even told us we had to pick them up in houston when the reality was that they went straight to Mexico so they tricked us.
The lady I spoke from customer service told me they could not give me compensation, thing we were not looking for
Weeks later I asked for an update on the disciplinary action toward the flight attendant but she told me she could not share that information.
My grandmother was traumatized after that violent action
I have flown well over a million miles with United and have had 1K status for many years. Before the pandemic I had 120 plus points canceled since there is a 1 year time limit on them. You can use these points to upgrade which rarely happens. I have another 80 points due to be canceled this month and reached out to see if I could extend the expiration to no avail!
I traveled over 100K miles last year with United and tried to upgrade using these points but was never able to for whatever reason which is solely in United's control. What is the point of having this so-called benefit, if United controls it and there is an expiration date on it?
I do get pre-boarding benefits which is last in a long list of other pre-boarding groups. I do get complimentary economy plus seating which is a smidgen better than economy but for international trips they are not very comfortable either.
The ground staff is not very pleasant and crew on the plane treat passengers like cattle compared to other international airlines where service is much better, and quality of the food and entertainment is better.
Unfortunately, I am vested and switching gears this late in the game doesn't make sense; if another airline offered to take my status and points and such over I would without hesitation switch and be loyal to them as I have been to United. If you do not have any status with United, does not make much sense to travel with them unless circumstances warrant it.
Hope this helps someone.
Have been traveling at least once a month for years and this is by far the worst airline experience I've ever had. When I originally booked first class I was shown that I was booking lay-flat seats, the same I came in on my United as I arrived to Newark from Miami. When I checked in I saw that they are regular business seats (slightly larger than economy), somehow there was a change that I wasn't informed about. Although I was group 1 and first class I had to put my bags in economy further back as the ones above our seats were taken. Upon arriving my tray is simply taped shut with an "inoperative" sticker and is non existent so I'm unable to drink or eat anything (in first class). My wife had a purse that she brought on her lap on the trip from Miami but now on the return flight was told it too had to be stowed away. We asked the flight attendant who told us we had to put it away where we should put it and she told us she didn't know but that we couldn't keep it with us during take off and that we had to go find a place… so once again had to go put it away in economy but by now even further back. There is no TV monitor nor entertainment of any kind and although there are USB and electrical outlets to charge, none of them are functioning. I did book a 9PM flight but I'm shocked at how rude the flight attendant was especially considering it is first class. Will definitely be disputing, worst airline experience I've ever had. Gave them an extra $15 to get wifi in flight just so that I could spend the next 3 hours finding every possible website to review them.
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT book with United. Could of booked Spirit for $1,000 less and would of had better service.
