“ITS A SCAM! STAY AWAY!”

They sold me domain name landing pages and gave me a legal guarantee that my business will be found on the first page and under Google maps within 5 weeks. Around the second week I tried to get in contact with them no one answered, or even replied. After the fifth week they had already published the landing page without my consent, with an incorrect number. I tried to ask them to show me statistics of how the landing page is performing they failed to give me any. After many attempts I spoke to another marketing company who informed me that Unitel don't even have Google analytics linked to the landing page. * my account manager was trying to sell me a website as she was blaming my website for having a high bounce rate from the landing page. After I insisted on analytics she never once contacted me. After sending a cancellation email numerous times, * from Unitel finally called me after three weeks letting me know that if I don't pay they will send me to debt collection agency. He refused to listen to the call where the salesman gave me legal warranty that I will be on the first page. Now I will be suing them for damages and for legal breach. Please stay away from these cowboys, and get a proper marketing company. *Personal information redacted by admin

After trying to collaborate with various different companies from the UK, I get a chance to work with Unitel Direct Limited. I have teamed up with them on several website projects, and get a fantastic working experience with them. With a personal experience I recommend their services to all my friends and colleagues with confidence and assurance of their outstanding services. Not had a single enquiry from the website they designed
No cooling off period
Avoid at all costs
The only enquiry I had was from someone pointing out all of the errors on the website
This company are totally inadequate
Do not get roped in
It will cost you heavily

I found Unitel Direct on line when I was looking for a broadband and telephone line provider and they told me that they could also do a mobile phone package for my business. I signed up and now am using a HTC business phone as part of my package with them. I can honestly say that I am more than happy, especially with the amazing mobile phone contract that I got from Unitel Direct Telecom. The mobile package I got from Unitel Direct Limited has allowed me to save substantially on calls. As my broadband provider, Unitel Direct gave me free set up and some great internet advertising on Google for my business on their new customer offer! The guys at Unitel Direct did me a superb deal and I will certainly recommend their mobile packages for business.

We have now been with the above crap company for 12 months which was to long, they refused to look into our fault and told us it was a line fault. We then recivied a overuage on our account, they have now credited this but not the line rental because we where using internet without a line. This company is a ripoff and a bunch of cowboys. I got cut of for expresing my oponion about this $#*! company

Firstly, I am very sorry you didnt have a good experience with Unitel Direct, we work very hard at Unitel to makesure that we are doing the best that we can for our customers. I have to say that I find your review unfair and untrue. For data protection I cannot publicly state why your line was disconnected, however, I can advise that as part of our terms and conditions (and every other service provider) lines can be disconnected for a number of reasons - such as non payment for example, but, never for expressing and opinion. I have looked over the full notes on the account and I can see that you reported an issue with your line and connecting your broadband. A fault was raised to BT Openreach, they advised that there was no fault on the line. With regards to your over-usage, the package that you signed up for was a budget package and had a fairusage policy of 40g per month. You were going over this considerably, again, we notified you each time you exceeded your usage by 5g to advise of this, we offered an increased tariff for an additional cost, this was declined. These guys know what they are doing and what the customers want. I described my expectations and got to see that my e-Commerce portal is in sync with what my anticipations were. Great work done!

If you have a company don't gave details no matter how good a deal they only want your money and lock you into a year deal
Been 8 month now not a single lead
They say it because i need a web site that happens to cost over a thousand again
Was told that they work with yell i phone yell has i had a account with them they've not know by them
Try to cancel the next day was told had to pay full and that i was lock into a year and if i did cancel on the 11 month it would start a again for another year
I have more leads from smaller company on line and cost 90 per cent less and i can cancel any time
The only company that can lock you into a deal for a year is one that just want your money

So glad we have moved back to unitel, we had recently moved all of our services after being given all the sales talk by another firm and we literally overnight lost EVERYTHING that we had built up for the past 10 years. We are now back live but not after spending a small fortune in the process

This company is an absolute farce and they steal your money! DO NOT ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THEM!
They tell you that you HAVE to sign up for 12 months - you cannot cancel at any time during that 12 months - and you have to give the 30 days written notice to cancel. If you are a day late they MAKE you sign up for another 12 months!
DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!

I was called out of the blue by Unitel Direct, who wanted to help improve my search engine listing (I run a glamping company). I was reluctant to do so, but after a HUGE amount of persuasion, caved in and agreed. They would build me a new website, and start generating additional traffic to help get new business.

Having slept on it, I wasn't happy with my decision and called them back the very next day to say I'd like to cancel... but apparently a cooling off period doesn't exist with Unitel, so be wary!

So they went ahead an built a website, which was absolutely dreadful (visually and grammatically - almost as if it had been written by a child!)

8 months on and the ONLY enquiries I've had from that website have been spam emails. NOT ONE enquiry to come and stay at our glamping site!

I decided to cut my losses and pay them out the remainder of the 12 month contract just to stop the daily stream of junk email generated from their website.

DO NOT go with them. Instead, find a smaller company who have a cooling off period and some kind of customer care service, who respond to your concerns with genuine empathy and a willingness to make things better.

Without doubt, the worst decision I ever made was to answer the phone to those cold calling *****!

They lie to their customers saying they are not being found on the internet in order to sign them up. Besides they have their staff members posting false reviews for them. BEWARE!, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I switched my broadband to Unitel and since then i have had dreadful internet, it has been slow and intermittent. But my biggest gripe about Unitel is the fact that I signed up for UNLIMITED BROADBAND, which I have got written proof of, but every month I keep getting charged and over usage fee, last month it was £78, this month it is £173. They said 'when we say unlimited we actually mean fair usage, and you have gone over your fair usage amount', this is NOT unlimited, this is limited/capped broadband, and from the sounds of it i am not even being offered a decent amount of broadband if I am going over by £173 in one month. I have to constantly phone them, they promise to return my call in the hour, but I never hear back. Very angry.

I phoned six months back to cancel due to me not doing that part of my business anymore as me and my wife had started fostering two young children and I couldn't maintain the level of work, I was told I was in a contract and I said but I have done the 12 months agreed and then was told it had renewed, I said ok when can I cancel the lady said she would put a do not auto renewal on the system, I contacted today to say I have made my last payment could I check that the cancellation has happened to be told that it had auto renewed for another year, I said if that was the case why hadn't o received notification of that they replied with I can send it now, I said I had never missed a payment for two years and I will not be continuing with them.
I can't believe that in this present situation with people's finances that companies like this can continue to function, very disappointing.

Tip
Contact trading standards and citizens advice, both very helpful and keen to stop this happening

I am a 76 year old pensioner on a basic pension i said yes when they said they could reduce my outgoings then i found it going to go up by £10 -£20 per month so within the 14 days to cancel next i received a bill for £42 for something i didnt use or want then they are charging me £700 to tuminate the contract with admin cost £1370 they said because i didnt put it in writing i am still liable NOT A GOOD COMPANY

Been with Unitel for a good while now, took over when my dad retired and decided to keep it all where it was, got a good price on renewal for everything so no reasons to change

Every day about 50 times i get calls from these saying they are from 118 even though i keep telling them i am not interest they get rude and slam the phone down PLEASE STOP CALLING PEOPLE WHO TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE NOT INTERSTED! MY EDIT AND RESPONSE
