Upwork has been my trusted platform for finding freelance opportunities and connecting with clients from around the world. The platform's vast network of clients and freelancers, comprehensive job listings, and secure payment system make it easy to find meaningful projects and build a successful freelance career. I appreciate Upwork's commitment to transparency and professionalism, as seen in its dispute resolution process and feedback system, which ensure fair and equitable transactions for both parties. Moreover, the platform's collaboration tools and communication features enhance teamwork and streamline project management. With Upwork, freelancing is not just a job—it's a rewarding and fulfilling career.
Business practices are arbitrary and unfair with the cost for freelancers of doing business on the site constantly increasing and various services and perks taken away. Not worth it for freelancers--and clients don't fare much better.
Upwork changed my life, literally. The professionalism in how they manage contracts between the two sides is top class. You feel 100% safe before starting any contract and the other side as well. Upwork makes you feel safe and secure about getting the job done without hassles. I only concentrate on my work other than anything else, which is why Upwork is considered as a perk for me! Watchout for their seminars on how to be successful as a freelancer and their lovely supporting community. Thank you Upwork and wish you all the best.

Upwork has worst support system ever.
THREE MONTHS! Have passed since my application.
There is no solution to the problem with my profile.
I write more and more new messages to my ticket, but I only get "the issue was transferred to our Technical team."
I have worked with Upwork for 7 years now and have a great reputation, but now I am not getting new orders at all because my profile is not working.
Be careful when working with this company. You may one day get similar problems with tech support.

As a freelancer on the Upwork platform, I've had just about the most unprofessional experience in freelancing ever...
Their support sucks... to put it easy. Unless your a client or a top earning freelancer -- Upwork doesn't care about you.
Upwork has a really shabby support team that is dis-interested in your problems... They don't offer a phone number, or even basic live chat to help sort out your problems... Instead they have a ticket system which takes them 2 days to respond to. If you're looking to resolve a problem via their support, expect to wait a minimum of a week to get anything sorted out
Upwork expects to take 20% of your earnings for some unknown reason... it's definitely not for their support team... they claim it's for payment protection or what not, but I have not experienced this so called "payment protection"
If you're looking to freelance on some platform, give Upwork a pass.

Upwork has an excellent community and way of giving people job based on how active they are on platform. They wont put too much work on your plate. Con is they are charging 20% fee on the first time client that hurts freelancer a lot

I need help in getting back my Upwork account. It has been suspended today without any official email or any notification. I can still reach out to existing clients but can't apply for proposals. This is strange as I didn't commit any violation of the code of conduct. Need urgent help to fix this matter. Thanks in advance

I've started working on Upwork a few months ago and it has changed the perspective on freelancing. Upwork did a tremendous job for me in finding the right clients for my skills. I wish they continue their journey like this and keep changing people's lives.

UpWork has been fantastic to me. It has put me in contact with multiple brands and clients who have both enhanced my portfolio while I help them bring their business visions to life. They ensure that I get paid - which is pretty hard these days - and they hold me to a standard so make sure I am producing the work I am being paid to do. The fees are there, but the profit makes up for it. It is better than working freelance and not sure if the client is going to pay. I recommend it to everyone I know. 10/10.

I have found and worked with great companies and individuals. Both short and long term. The website is easy to use has a timer for logging your actual hours you are working on a project. And a guarantee of being paid.

I'm working here since September 2020, from then I got very good opportunity to work with people's around the globe.
And as the pendemic hit the world, this platform has provided a great opportunity to people's like us...
Thank you.

Upwork is very easy-to-navigate platform for freelancers like me to get jobs, good value and guarantee of payment. It has a robust and efficient voice and chat tools too! Effectively, there is nothing lacking for a freelancer searching for an audience (that would otherwise be hard to reach) to put professional skills to profitable use.

As a freelancer, Upwork has helped me establish my full potential in article writing. It is a market place I would recommend to every freelancer out there both new and industry experts owing to its authenticity and excellent support to freelancers.

It's good for freelancers and very easy to use this platform. They constantly keep you updated. Everything is fine except for the following two
1: You need connects to bid. And there is no guarantee you get a project. To apply for more jobs, there could be purchasing but they should give at least 30 connects free per month. For new freelancers, it is discouraging.
2:20% charges are too high. Should be 5%.

I have been using Upwork for a few years now. Because of some personal reasons I had to leave my work and stay at home. Upwork made starting to work as a freelancer so much easier for me. The whole process of getting work, delivering it and getting paid is facilitated and protected. When I am working on Upwork I know for sure that I will get my payment. I feel if you work hard persistently on Upwork, then you can earn a decent amount from your home. A perfect solution for me.

I am a working professional designer and thought I could earn some extra money from Upwork. The clients are generally terrible at communication. Countless people have accepted my proposals, wasted my time with back-and-forth emails, etc. Only to disappear and never be heard from again. In addition to the low quality clientele, the site is over saturated with mediocre, untrained awful freelancers. Upwork is garbage and I will never waste my time with them again.

I have been working and providing services on various freelance platforms but Upwork is the most reliable platform in terms of its services and conditions. Also, the clients on Upwork are 100% organic and totally genuine people. I would recommend everyone either a freelancer or a hiring person to try Upwork at least once. It would be a worthwhile experience.
Thank you, Upwork for providing an amazing platform.

I'm so grateful for Upwork. I have managed to do so much with the earnings I got from carrying out projects on Upwork. Upwork supported me from the start, giving me badges as a new writer for credibility, and soon thereafter I was able to get my success ratings and tons of great projects. If you follow the Upwork regulations, it is an amazing opportunity. I've never had any issues with Upwork and I'd definitely recommend it.

Upwork is ruining their own brand.
Experienced, skilled freelancers are giving up on Upwork, it is an inferior freelancing platform and the company is very difficult to work. It has turned into a sweatshop, low wage joke!
Example: Hiring clients looking for the most experienced freelancers from US and paying them an average of $6.72 an hour.
Most people would conclude that Upwork is the worst freelancing platform. They are driving their reputation and brand down the drain.
For serious professional freelancers it is a negative to be associated with Upwork. Freelancers and serious hiring clients - go elsewhere. Don't waste your time.

I have used a few freelancing websites and can state unequivocally that my experience has demonstrated that Upwork is the best freelancer website for my specialization. One of the major benefits found on Upwork that is sadly lacking on other sites is the ability to purchase unlimited bids. When building a business, freelancing or otherwise, the key is to reach out to as many potential clients as possible in the shortest amount of time. Unlike most other freelancing sites, Upwork does not restrict the number of projects you can bid on.

Living in a third world country is hard, very hard. And your only way to be able to make the most out of your talents and skills is to think and work location independent and that's where Upwork provides that platform.
With Upwork, I can not only earn the world standard in what my skills are worth but also I can gain relevant experience that puts me way above professionally in how far my skills can get me in my country. Its a very good invention for today's world. Definitely recommend

I really love to work on Upwork and I would recommend every person who wants to start a freelancing carrier he/she should join Upwork. Upwork provides a great platform to start earning side by side of your job or studies. The payment method of Upwork is supercool, they charge very low amount when you are transferring the payment earned into your bank account.
So talking about the darker side, there is huge problem of connects in Upwork as if you have just started working on Upwork it is possible that you may get out of connects very soon. Although they charge very less of buying the connects but as a freelancer sometimes I don't earn money for a long period, so it becomes difficult to buy them.
Date of experience: November 20, 2020
The quality of clients and experience in Upwork far exceeds other platforms. It is good to see competition coming in for freelance platforms but Upwork, due to their first-mover advantage and excellent developer team, have continuously focused on improving user experience. Also, the screening of customers prior to posting a job or the freelancer has considerably improved - which has resulted in quality interaction.
Thank you

Upwork isn't worth it. I did work for a fixed rate of $100 and then only $40 was "paid" and never went into my account because Upwork pays nothing for work under $100. If you are a bright writer desperate for work don't take this route. Imagine that you get a nasty smell reading this review, as if something in your fridge smelled wrong. Get it, like I didn't get it, because I love to write. Something is wrong with the site, the feeling you get when you're lied to.

Upwork has provided me a platform to earn money by utilizing my skills. It connects me with various clients around the world who demand the services that I provide (i. E. data analytics and management consultancy). Moreover, I can easily manage my personal and professional life since it allows me to work from home.
